I think Sierra Schultzie made a video once discussing all the stupid things luxury brands make that don't make any use. Honestly I can make a bookmark myself. And the fact that: 1 I didn't really appreciate how the perfume bottle was used more as a prop. Then they put a tester in the first day, but also give you a smaller size. I wouldn't complain about the bigger size to be honest. Because I have a perfume I love that's even smaller than that, like 15 ml. But come on! A tester and a full size? Put one only and something valuable. Also that body cream tester wouldn't even be enough to cover my entire body and I'm small girl. They basically make you pay for the brand name/legacy for these brands.
For example my dad wanted to buy himself the same perfume he alsways used from Hermes but after he saw the prices again, his jaw dropped. I ended up finding an inspired perfume/copy from Verset which sells at pharmacies. And it was €6 for a 15ml bottle. I love their scent Sofia (which I didn't know but is supposed to be like Si by Giorgio Armani). And my other favpurite perfume is the scent Indian Jasmine by l'Erbolario Lodi which cost me €23 (from €33 because I got it on sale) for 100ml and that perfume doesn't go away. I swear one spritz and the whole room smells like Jasmine perfume.

Tea Advent calendars are great. This one is... not so much. If people were able to look at the back of the calendar to see what's in it they would have refrained from buying it. But if they had no chance to do so I understand their frustration so much.

The little ceramic bottle is meant to be used as a perfumed stone for your closet or drawers. Just drop a little bit of the Nr 5 on it and place it between your clothes. The advent calendar is a joke, Chanel should be ashamed. I have never been a fan of Chanel bc I think their items look tacky but this calendar just approved my first impression of the brand
I really do not understand why they would think that a grown adult that purchases an $825 advent calendar and be excited for the stickers in it. Even if it is a "collectors item" stickers are fun when your kids not when your a grown adult. They could have added the stickers as a free addition, not as a whole box. That is why I refuse to purchase name brand luxury items they are over rated

I am a loyal Chanel customer and I find it personally insulting that Chanel had the audacity to put this worthless calendar together. They literally had months to plan a refined advent calendar and this was the end result. I don’t know about you, but I was getting more upset watching you open each box w/worthless stickers and unexplainable junk. It’s almost like opening a box of Cracker Jack. I am just disappointed. I’ve never complained about their aggressive price increases over the last couple of years. So you would think they would at least sale an advent calendar worth buying. I feel like they just collected a bunch of left over inventory and threw some sh!t together at the last minute. Anyways, stepping off of my soapbox… thank you for sharing. It was cringing to watch but definitely worth watching. I’ll stick with the Lindt Chocolate Holiday Advent Calendar this year. Be safe and stay healthy. 💕

For that price, they should have had like 1 set of stickers. ONE. Instead of that black wax stamp seal crap, they could have done enamel or even dainty silver costume jewelry pieces. The cost to produce a few enamel pieces is literally like a dollar more than the cost of stickers. Or a small piece of costume jewelry that is custom to that box is so cheap for them to produce! They really should have put more value into this box because the people that are buying it are their loyal customers…but at the same time I guess loyal Chanel customers are the ones with money to blow almost $1,000 on some stickers and samples.

Can I just say, this video is a life saver. My dad passed away and he would always buy no5 for my mum at Christmas. I was left money to continue the tradition for him post mortem. I was excited to hear about the Advent Calendar and was going to purchase one in store on November 5th when it was stocked at Holt Renfrew. After seeing this video I'm going to buy the make-up individually and a decent bottle of parfum separately and still have money left over. Thank-you for making this. My dad would be proud I'm saving a few bucks as well. 🙏💫

I always thought Chanel was suspicious since my cousin worked for a Make-up factory in Germany and they produced the eyeliners and kajals for Chanel. She also told me I should buy a certain drugstore brand that was really cheap because it was literally the same product 😅. Since then I can‘t trust luxury brands.

I'm someone who absolutely loves collecting all types of stationery, so I actually really love the stickers, bookmark, etc. However, so many of those items could have fit together on fewer days so they could add more cosmetics on other days.
Chanel Sales: " Has anyone an idea how we could empty our warehouses of the surplus of cheap advertisment gifts and get a lot of money instead of just giving the items away for free? There are thousands of the cheap stickers we bought form child labour factories in China and nobody wants them even for free. Well and then there is our beloved trash mountain we built with the chanel no.5 bags which were produced in the wrong size and we can't use then. Oh and then we have the items we produced for the april fools jokes, the shitty looking bookmarks and found, that they aren't funny and nobody reads books anymore... ... I guess, there is no chance - its not like we could put them in little "surprise" boxes and charge hundreds of USD for this trash. Nobody would be paying that for stickers..."

I have always been such a massive fan of Chanel. The classic aesthetic is just so perfect. But I feel recently especially with this advent calendar, that channel is starting to sink. I can't even being to imagine how Coco would have felt about this. I love the idea of the mini perfumes and even the full sized ones but the amount of stickers is outrageous. One of my first real jobs was as a manager of a tiny Chanel counter when I was 17 - that job opened the door to many other great jobs in cosmetics & fragrances over the years... this, is so shameful! Over $800 for stickers & paper ornaments??? Send it back with a lovely but honest note that you & thousands of people think this is bunk. Especially during such a hard time for too many Americans(and people worldwide)... not Chanel, not classy, not cool. No thank you Chanel! But thank you and Happy Holidays and much health to ALL❤✌🎄🎀
They should've put all the stickers together, started at day 1 and end at 25 (actually saves 6 days instead of 4), made day 5 large and include the full size perfume, include a couple of the trinkets like bookmark and snow globe, put together 5 days as a single box with multiple lids with the kiddie stuff like the flip book, stickers and cheap jewelry plus the little duster bag so you can gift it to a kid if you wanted to, and just fill the rest with mini sizes of their products. From a business standpoint, theyd make it back in sales when find a product they like. How is there more hand cream than body cream

Well the handbag is worth the price since you can resell it and get good money (cheaper regular bags don’t have that value anymore) for it so whether you think it’s bs you have to respect at least that…but these samples and stickers have no value at all and def not an investment. Chanel’s thinks their customers are children or grown up idiots. Come on Chanel, what do you think I open up a box each morning and jump for joy with my new pouch? The flip book got me. It’s not even a print of a hand drawn piece, it’s slapped together in 5 minutes on illustrator. I quite literally mean 5 minutes. Just a drop indeed.

What i think should have been put in this Calendar for this price:
one 50ml Chanel no. 5 Eau de Parfum bottle for the 24th (on Christmas day!)
a 35ml Coco Chanel Eau de Parfum bottle
A brooch or pin with the double CC Logo
a full size Handcream
the Soap
a full size Body lotion
a full size facial cream
a small necklace pendant with the double CC Logo
a red lipstick in full size
a matching lip pencil
a red Nailpolish fitting the red lipstick
a nude lipstick in full size
a neutral Nailpolish like "Ballet pink"
the keychain
and perhaps some miniature perfumes or Hair pins or whatever...
and let them fill up the rest with their plastic rubbish made in China for a few lousy cents, but at least give the people something worth their money..
And all colors of the Chanel makeup bags triple wrapped with Chanel ribbon to make into a purse.

I was adding up what I would pay for each item as I went, and the total came out to ~$150. They maybe could have gotten away with $200 due to the packaging. But yeah most of this stuff is things you would get free at their stores!

Basically what I learned in this video is that “Kinda cute” is a new way to say “WTF is this sh*t” 😂 By the way, I found those same stickers for free in the Italian fashion magazine “Io Donna” a few months ago.
