#Zedaph #Minecraft #Hermitcraft
You could start a segment called, "The Adventures of X-Why-Zed?" Where Xisuma joins you in endeavors of questionable judgment.
Zed: "I don't know ...some call me a weirdo." And yet you still call her every year on Mother's Day.
X Why Zed!!!
This is amazing
I neeeed it/ref
Or it could just be a segment where zed tries to convince X to go on an "endeavors of questionable judgment" which will probably result in X asking "Why?". Maybe the goal would be to get X to ask why and then just abort the endeavor.
Gem: starts a scientist bit, complete with lab coat skin
Zedaph: may I interest you in true mad science
The irony of you and Xisuma both building a brewer in the ‘wrong’ places! I’d love to see some ingredient gathering missions, I can imagine the shenanigans!
Always a good time when X and X are hanging out!
ZITS after dark skyblock phantom hunting competition pretty please?
Gem And Zed is such a dream combo. Loved the dynamics of you two! :3
The combrewter needs a startup song, so players don't have to wait a kinda arbitrary time for the game to start
3 Potions and Hour? When they're made 3 at a time? Wowzers such speed and innovation! ; P
I love how Gem alrdy had a lab coat skin from a few episodes back. I think the only other person who has rocked one this season is Cub when he was covered in dyes from making his fireworks factory
Yeah someone needs to cook up some Fanart with Zed, Cub and Gem all in their labcoat skins
@@WonkyWater-YT well in that case they defo need to ad Doc in his labcoat as well!
@@TheSnakeman123456 Oh yeah, I totally forgot Doc has a lab coat too!
kinda hungry for a bunk bread now
Is that just a sandwich? Or maybe cinnamon bread, where you have layers of dough separated by cinnamon? Either way, sounds tasty.

I love Gem's enthusiasm! The fact you have to keep your eye on 2 different areas makes it challenging in a really good way
There's not enough space but I bet it would be fun to watch two hermits trying to brew the same potion side by side. xD
And ngl I think Gem had a brilliant idea turning to look at the flingers. That was really smart of her.
A wild Gem appears! Please, collab more. This was very enjoyable.
Zed and Gem scientist mode together!!! :D All the brewing redstone is so interesting!
You and Gem together is positivity and curiosity at full force! You play off each other well and hope you recruit her into your shenanigans again (or you into hers)!
This looks like a stressful game. Great fun watching you and Gem playing it.
I think your item distributing redstone is showing me how to solve a redstone problem I've got on Zedcraft. I'd only been able to find incredibly complicated non-solutions for it before... so, if that works out, thanks!!
Even if it doesn't woke out, every attempt will cause your brain to grow! Good luck!
Never thought load balancing in Factorio's would be something we can use in Minecraft, yet here we are!
Because a double chest + 2x hoppers splits exactly (with a bit of clock work), we have a 1 to 1 analog for splitters. I wonder if you can make a 1 to 3 or a 3 to 4 with this system
The 11 stick trick is a bad idea; if the first slot gets backed up to 64 the signal strength will be 4 and the neighbouring sorters will be completely drained
+
This should never happen though because it's a closed system, unless he uses the sorting system to restock
Time limit mode? Make XYZ potion but you have # of flings of items to do it.
Co-Op mode sounds fun as one can be the eyes in the sky to call out what needs plucked from where. Don't know how to make it harder to compensate though.
"AI" mode, where the combrewter itself tells you it needs XYZ potion or "it will die" and you have to make it in a certain amount of time (Mumbo's Button Life minigame incorporation)
*@ZedaphPlays*
33:12 Switch the pressure plates to wood, in that way you can drop an item on the plate & be able to catch more than 1 item at a time.
(in exchange for a HUGE risk of catching additional random items) ;D
Well, it’s iron so it’s can hold it down
I can see this turning into a championship Zed. With tiers and stuff. Simply lovely!
I love how Gem changes her avatar to have glasses and a lab coat, to be "smart".
Haven't gotten a world download yet but I CANT WAIT for this one!
It’s finished!!! This has got to be one of my favorite Hermitcraft season traditions
Coming back to say I FOUND THE SQUIRM !!!! It’s so subtle zed oh my god
A Combrewter Bingo could be cool! Making a potion bingo board and seeing who (or which team) gets bingo the fastest might be fun :D
The most intense portion brewing experience ever 🤣
Never imagined you would click with Gem so well, I want to see more of this duo!
I love how this episode popped up to watch while I'm playing Powerwash Simulator and doing the Fairy Godmothers potion factory part of the Shrek DLC.
Amazing 🤣
Can’t wait to watch, I love Gem and Zedaph as a duo, dunno why, just two incredibly chaotic people…lol
Nice vid Zed, the collab parts are as nice as usual! Also, I'm sure the fisherman of this season won't notice you borrowing 4 boxes of pufferfish
Wow, the bunkbread pun really has me pausing the video to give it a reluctant like
Refilling water bottles manually looks painful. There should be a redstone system for that too!
yes! and a proper score counter which you don't need to redo manually maybe?
I think the previous Brewster was a lot more efficient and easier to use. This one, definitely more fun!
"Hell O Hell O Hell O Everyone." An introduction I've been using for over a decade and it still throws me every Zedaph intro.
The thing that throws me off every time I watch Zed, is when people call him Zed cuz that's my real name 😭
"Hell O's, the hottest cereal around!"
@@lasercraft32 Makes sense, but now I have to concede it would probably have that hot cinnamon. When I'd want my Hell O 's to be smooth Apple Cinnamon. Ooh maybe with real dehydrated apple chunks. Ok, now it's a line of products. "Hell O Morning Cereal" Each with Real fruit chunks... num num num. Oh, Strawberry frosted with banana chunks. Ok, you must have caught me hungry.
The only thing I would add is a delay to the button presses. like, you stand on it as the item flows by and the trapdoor will be delayed to match the 2 other items passing by. That way you don't have to look at the ceiling to count items
This combrewter is really fun-looking! Build a small hut in the gaming district where people can pay a diamond (or a block) to learn the coordinates of the game!
Hello, early Brew Crew!
I enjoyed the trip back to the lab today. With all this talk of bunk bread and brewing, I may need to head to a pub this evening!
It's a great combination of the last combrewter and the RGB game from a few seasons ago. Sounds like Gem had fun, too!
3:19 hehe ya ever heard of a little thing called the Lego movie?
11 sticks in each sorter slot could lead to problems. If your storage ever gets full and the sorters start filling up, the signal can become too strong and bleed into the neighbouring units, draining them of all their items.
As someone who came up with a solution to this I feel like going down to exactly 20 ingredients makes things so much easier. I ended up making a system that would check the main randomiser dropper and request more items any time it was about to run out.
only if it was part of an actual sorting system; it sorts just the items left over per game; therefore never running into an issue; Zed stocks it himself
Yeah, that works, at least as long as he only fills it up any time it's empty or looks into each dropper manually. If the sorters were set up slightly differently he could just throw a bunch of ingredients into the steam going into the sorters and let the overflow handle anything that's full.
I could see a versus mode in there. Two brewing stands, Two rows of trapdoors, two players with two rows of pressure plates. The trapdoors per player are arranged so that each player has the front trapdoor in two lanes and the back trapdoor in the other two. Then one (or a list of) potions to brew, first one to finish wins. You could "steal" ingredients on the expense of sabotaging your own potion, ...
You may need a "collect/discard" current potion button for each player, though, to allow for brewing a list of potions.
If you're giving up overflow protection in the item sorters anyway, you can use the smaller version that only sticks out 2 blocks instead of 3.
What if there were 2 stands, one at each end, and you flick a lever to toggle the direction of a water stream on top. So you could have a hard mode where you have to make 2 potions at once, frantically swapping between the stands to get them both going at the same time. And you could also have a 2P mode where each player is trying to make their own different potion in their own stand, and wrestling with the lever to make it happen! Maybe a regen beacon so they can punch each other about
Ever since watching season 10 I've been learning a bunch of redstone-ey tech.
When Zed was like "I need a way to fire off the droppers from all the way over there" I was like... "oh that'd be a perfect time to use a calibrated skulk sensor"
And when he said "I need to do this exactly 5 times" I was like "Oh, you can do that with binary using copper bulbs like at tango's factory"
Maybe I should make one of these in my world...
Color me impressed. What a contraption.
Something to consider could be a 4 lamp display down at the ice path that cycles through with each item so you can remember "redstone at 3 lights". And then have another 4 lamp display next to the brewing stand. This way you dont have to turn around to wait for the item.
Might make it too easy though.
You should add a button you can push to active a hopper and empty the brewing stand and a hopper to add more bottles so you can do multiple in a row for a longer game
Having the machine request a specific potion and having to recreate it would be an interesting game mode
Be nice if you could add a button next to each Pressure Plate that would send a long pulse to the Iron Trap Doors for instances of wanting both Gunpowder and Redstone Dust.
You could have a lever, that redirects the ingredients to one of two brewing stands, and you have to make 2 potions at once
The ComBREWter is absolutely EPIC! 🤩🤘 You always make me smile and laugh, Zed. Thank you for that. 💖🐑💛
It seems the balcony pov gives you a lot more information.
If you replace the pressure plate with target blocks, shooting them from the balcony could be an interesting variation for the game
Maybe you could have a two player cooperative mode, where one player watches the incoming ingredients and tells the other player which lane to stand in to collect them?
I love watching your videos, you’re almost the bill nye of Minecraft but far better. You’re so fun, witty, and incredibly unique and original.
For two-player mode, you could have both start with Awkward Potions already made, and then make sure both sides need different ingredients and have an item filter before the brewing stands?
Alternatively, some way of tracking who is responsible for catching the most ingredients over the course of multiple potions?
Two-player cooperative mode should be very doable and fun! Just build a view-blocking wall so the person working the buttons can't see the items coming in, while their teammate up on the viewing platform has to shout out which button to press and when.
33:46 This game. Is so cool
I’m so impressed dude what a unique machine
My favourite music game genre, Rhythm and Brews.
By your logic, lasagna is bunk pasta :D Love your science and logic Zed!
Wonka would be proud
"Up there! It's over our heads in a million pieces"
Zed, you really ARE the coolest Hermit 🤙
If I may, I would suggest switching from stepping backward to forward onto the pressure plates. That way, -players- the very serious scientists know if they're aiming for the right plate without needing to turn around. They also can easily move away from all the plates if they don't need any of the ingredients being flung.
This video made brewing finally make sense to me
11:00 thats such a missed opportunity to get all blocks from X and leave him in the hole :D
"Hopper speed" huh who would have thought, hopefully that catches on!
you can ask grian the fisherman for pufferfish
Small problem with your item filters:
by putting more than one stick in the hopper's 2nd to 5th slots, you are breaking the overflow protection.
Not a problem until you totally fill up storage capacity for one of the ingredients, but once you do things will start to fall apart.
If you plan to keep tabs on stocks so that none of them will ever overflow anyways, then you could just remove the first Redstone Dust of every item filter, move the Comparator to where that Redstone was, and put a full block where the Comparator used to be. That makes it so you only need 20-ish filler items instead of 44.
Also there's an easier way to split items evenly into 4.
Put 4 hoppers in a 2x2 shape, put a Hopper Minecart at the intersection of the 4, and push 4 glass blocks into it from above so it can never be moved.
The Hopper Minecart sucks 10 items per second from above. Which is just enough to keep the 4 Hoppers below fed at 2.5 items per second.
Or at least that used to work before they updated how Hoppers work a few patches ago, not certain if it's still working right now or not.
If it's still possible to shove 4 Hopper Minecarts in that same spot, that would help with randomizing.
Maybe a sound when an item enters the hopper on top of the brewing stand? So there's some feedback if they got the item or not.
I feel like there needs to be a game-mode where Sheep press the preassure plates. And you lure it with hay or leads
It's so good to see the Science lab back again!
There is a flaw in your brewing mechanism regarding some of the 4+ ingredients potions, because of which even if you catch all the necessary ingredients in the correct order, the potion will still fail. Because the hopper into which the ingredients fall before being placed in the brewing stand will always prioritize the first slot.
So, for example, you want to create a potion of invisibility. To create it, you need the order:
nether wart => golden carrot => fermented spider eye => redstone dust.
The first two ingredients will load correctly. If the fermented spider eye is placed in the hopper before the golden carrot is spat out of it, it will take up the second slot in the hopper. Then, when the carrot is sucked in the brewing stand leaving first slot of the hopper empty and at that moment the redstone falls into the hopper, it will take up the first slot.
As a result, instead of the order:
wart => carrot => eye => redstone
You will get:
wart => carrot => redstone => eye
You need to somehow ensure that the order of catching ingredients is the same as the order of putting them into a brewing stand.
Might I suggest this as a 2-player combrewter game: “B.R.E.W.” (based on H.O.R.S.E. in basketball). Whoever goes first brews a potion, any potion, as fast as possible. The other player then has to brew the same potion, obtaining the same score or lower. If they succeed, they take another turn and pick a new potion to brew, with the first player having to match their score or lower. Any time a player fails to match their opponent’s potion, or gets a higher score, they get a letter (B, then R, then E, then W). The first player to spell out BREW loses.
This game combined with Tangos game would be perfect!
You should add some note blocks to the combrewter to help with timing!
I love your creativity to make crafting fun! Keep it going Zedaph!!!!
Gem's "Com-brew-ter" was adorable.
*GEM!* OMG, the collab I never expected, but I am so here for it!
It would be hilariously chaotic to have two players on the same field, trying to get the same ingredients into their own brewing stands.
You could do a round robin mode where one person locks in one ingredient then the next person does the next ingredient
Awesome contraption. Love all your gamyfied farms in this series. Pleasure to see your episodes
Zedaph never misses with the games! Great video
I would like to see a 2 player mode where one person has to give the other directions, while the player standing on the plates has limited vision and they have to rely solely on the direction given to them by the other person
maybe add a sound for when the items get flung. so you can time it by hearing
That was 9999999 IQ. Bunk bread???? Are you kidding me?? How does your brain brain?? I'm enchanted, that was incredible!
Your episodes always bring a smile to my face. Keep up the good science!
Zed, this is sick! You're the awesome kind of mad!
This was a great collab!!! Need more of Gem!
05:30. Zedaph could never again get the hang of relative time since playing Tempus Mortem II
You can make a 2 player game mode where you both try to get different potions.
Game turned out great! I think I'll stick to button selectors for potion brewing though haha
I love these ridiculous contraptions. Seeing things like this reminds me of why I like this game so much. It doesn't have to be "the meta" to be enjoyed. Dare I say it? Minecraft is a game that's actually played like a game. 😲 😀 Anyway, I'm excited for the next bit of craziness. Until next time: "A good. A bye." 😛
I just watched your season 8 of HC this week, for the first time! Now it makes more sense!
How about a brewing competition, maybe trying to make the most complicated potion possible? Put some hermits through a challenge, let's test them! :D (Reminds me of the Endermite vs Impulse maze lol)
Here me out, for the two player mode, have the player pushing the buttons be under the effect of blindness and have the other player being the call-out player.
Gem and Zed is such an underrated duo!
Gem calling you cool is so sweet 🥰
This might be way too complicated. But could you have it set up where one of the finished potions comes out through a machine that detects which potion it is to then add it's required ingredients back into the system? Then have a warning light for when the back stock is low
Cool game, maybe you could reduce the number of bottles as score? This way it may be more intuitive for all those people trying to get a high score ;)
If you brew in F5 mode like you were at the end of the episode then you can see both the play field and the trap doors.
Wow that is amazing, this one is the best CompBREWter you have done. Love Gems reaction to it.
You could introduce a timer element to the game so the score chest very slowly drains. The faster you complete your potion the higher your score.
Oh. Just got to the end and seems like you have already done something like this. After the equal score in round 1 I thought it was a fixed value based on number of successful ingredients only. Nice work!
Zed, this game looks amazing, holy crap!
Zed, the latest com-brew-ter isn't silly at all, don't be silly - zany - yes, wacky - absolutely, bonkers - always, but silly? That's just gauche :P Also, Gem is great and absolutely want to see more collabs with her!
That was so awesome Zedaph!
Gamemode sugestion: Make the name of random potions apear that you have to brew to score points. Maby see how many you can brew in a sertain period of time
