@@eps638 I just googled it and it says that it was planned to be a short season due to issues with the world generation updates. It also said that the moon plot was Grian's idea, and that Ren had a hand in the mods with the floating blocks and such.
I love how Grian was messing with Mumbo in his villager hall by being Herobrine. Maybe in Season 10, Grian can go around the new server as Herobrine, messing with his friends. Make that an April Fool's Day thing.
I know this was just a quick experiment to see if they would enjoy some more lore-driven storytelling but I honestly think season 8 was the funniest Hermitcraft has ever been; at least from Grian's PoV The ways in which the known impermanence allowed them to cut loose was honestly something special

This was the best hermitcraft series so far, the lore the content and even the shorter length makes it a bit more digestible too (Omw to watch it again now XD)
It is up there with Season 7 for me. I enjoyed the wars and goofs in both seasons but like you said, Season 8 was a good length to be able to rewatch it comfortably.

Bc I am terrified about that happening... 😅
I really liked the themes the hermits chose, and quite a few never even finished their bases. Then in season 9 near the end a bunch of them just did a bunch of the card game and the dungeon game thing. There wasn't enough time to get stuff settled into a rhythm so all the stuff just felt jarring, like everyone was just trying to do as much impressive stuff as possible constantly. The current season has felt better though, more fun.

I think I would have rather there been 2 season 8s, season 9 kinda bummed me out especially near the end
