20:55- here's a fun tidbit! Because of various cultural factors, Newfoundland has the closest living accents/dialects of English to Elizabethan English! It's quite interesting hearing somebody with a thick Newfie accent speak, and according to some of the theatre people I know, hearing Shakespeare preformed with newfoundland accents is something else compared to other performances of Shakespeare.
@@BlueStrategosJ Quite the opposite, actually! I wouldn't guess she's from Newfoundland if I didn't know- I can't think of any creators with thick Newfoundland accents off the top of my head, but there's this one comedy show from the mid 2000s that's *extremely* newfoundland, the accents are so thick they're nearly unintelligible. I think it's called Hatching, Matching, & Dispatching. If you find some clips there's probably good examples there. For a less thick example some 22 Minutes sketches feature the actors speaking with their native accents, or the host of the old Canada's Worst Driver also has a Newfie accent.
I love to see such old friends playing together. It shows a solid relationship you have built and the respect you have for each other. Here's to many more years! I like your residential building on Woolstreet. Why not!
Joe is consistently the most grounded, positive member of the server-if ever you have self-doubts, talking to him seems like a fool-proof way to put you right.
"let's not throw a person into the fire in front of children, sounds like a good idea" me, remembering multiple holidays including burnt, drowned or thrown-off-cliff effigies that are definitely still a thing in my country: oh but it's not the same without that :(
Me remembering that in Iran the night before the last Wednesday of the year we fire of fire works and fire crackers and we make small fires and we jump over them and I do not know how have I not been burnt once in the roughly 10 years that I have been jumping over fires(sad thing is a lot of people get hurt because they are not careful with fire crackers or using homemade ones)
I love the longer episodes. It made so much room for wholesome moments and fun with friends. Can‘t wait to see more about the Woolfs of Wallstreet! Awwuuuuuuuuuuu
That's hilarious! By contrast, I'm pretty sure Jev DID use that word in today's video - I've listened several times and I can't see what else it could be!
you should have a space where the permits are placed underneath their owners heads, so if anyone forgets (cause if you have forgotten then others have as well) there will be an easy visible notification on who owns which permit. i suppose you could also just put the hermit heads directly over the colors but that might be unsightly idk.
I’m loving the look of the new shop and how the surrounding area is starting to feel like a densely packed city street! One small suggestion though: Because the armor stand mod y’all are using now has block re-sizing, I would recommend using two overlapping pink wool blocks sized to match the rectangular proportions of a sheep to represent its body instead of leather pants.
In Australia, we used to celebrate the Fireworks night but for some reason they stopped. Maybe since we were so dry there were too many fires started by careless people? I was quite small but clearly remember the fun of buying lots of little Tom Thumbs and setting them off while the older kids built a scarecrow of sorts and put it on a bonfire.
Hey X! Welcome to 1.21.3! Also, since you've mentioned the Bundles, mention to the others about the new Bundle Preview I've added to the mods (MiniHUD / Tweakeroo). I like it, especially since the new Vanilla display is kinda meh. Check out the `bundlePreview` in MiniHUD and `tweakBundlePreview`. The display goes with the colors of the Bundle just like a Shulker box. If you disable the 'bundleDisplayRequireShift` it completely disabled the Vanilla pop up; but without, it still shows as normal without holding SHIFT. 🔥 Your welcome! 🔥
Just tossing out an idea, you could build a boardwalk to span the river directly out front, I feel like it would fit better in a relatively higher-end part of town.
Hello! I really loved this episode. There was so much life in your voice, X. I loved being taken on the building journey and the interactions were great. It felt like watching a VOD. So fun!
Im a 2000s kid i remember helping make effigy on Guy-Fawks (It was like 6ft and made of sticks and other flammable woods/grass) And then watchin it burn on a HUGE bonfire which was full if old furnature, logs and other flammables, it was about 3m wide at the base and huge. It was great there were like 40 people there. I was about 6 or 5 at the time. This was in like 2009 but since then i havent seen them to that scale. I've made mini effigys out of twigs and hay and burned them on a house fire but other than that the tradition has somewhat died 😢 Bonfire burned for nearly 30 hours and there was always someone with it. It was a rural village btw and the only reason it didn't burn longer was it rained heavily
So satisfying to see all the building- process in the shopping- distict! I love that the list of permits slowly gets fulfilled, building must be so satisfying with all the blocks available
I love the little museum/dioramas for the "Meet the Wolves" type of thing. feels just like the kind of museums I went to visit as a kid, with little scenes set up. Very cozy and kinda nostalgic!
I think a good idea for the permits is to give each hermit 3 permits at the start of the season and then once they've built a shop (a proper shop not a pop up) for each permit they can build any shop they want HOWEVER they must finish these non permit shop before they build another this way all shops will be finished and people can make shops for anything they want
I kind of want to see what would happen if they combined the diamond block land-space system from Season 7 with the Permits. I feel like it would be a bit too complex, but it would encourage some really interesting, compact builds.
Hi X! I had an idea for the Meet the Wolves section, but I'm not sure if it's doable? So what I was thinking is that in the exhibit for Zedaph, is it possible to rig the sheep armor stand so that every now and then, the sheep head turns so it is actually looking at Zed? Might be a nice little easter egg if it can be done. Great video as always!
LOVE the wolves museum! especially stress. maybe u could do something with wind charges to add to the wind gust idea! and maybe for zeds exhibit some redstone and armorstand magic to change the position of the sheeps head! then costomers could actually play a mini version of is that sheep looking at zed whenever they come shopping! love ur vids dude ^_^

They're so slow with that attack that the witch will have time to heal. The only issue is if the warden catches a player's scent it'll go after them instead. And don't worry about getting caught in the crossfire, the soundwave only hits what the warden is aiming for and ignores anything else it crosses paths with. Was about to comment that the whole Wool Street gag is made funnier by X's 'Lahndan'-ish vowels that make it hard to tell the difference between wool and wall anyway. I also read the Redwall books as a kid btw.
21:45 the bonfire has gone out of fashion for a number of reasons. From restrictions on actually being able to light bonfires for environmental reasons, to safety and maybe not giving kids the idea of burning someone, to the fact Halloween is now far more popular, giving kids that same outlet for creativity as making an effigy just a week prior. That said, they do still appear at large gatherings, with modern effigies typically being modern political figures like whoever the Prime Minister happens to be at the time rather than the creations of local children masquerading as Guy Fawkes.

Using the skulk sensor to play the "awooo" is a great idea! You could have the jukebox play from a clip from a random wolf or one of the whole pack together. Also, you can put the different members in the offices in the buildings on either side. I think the office with the pink leaves outside would be Stress'.
Resonating with the survival building a lot X. I genuinely got more joy out of even playing Minecraft Survival the moment I started just building on the fly with not much of a plan over time. Just using a theme and running with it. Whatever works, works. Whatever doesnt, gets improved or redone. Im done pre-building in creative. It really does feel apt to call it a crutch.

Late commenter, but if you really want to sell the idea of the wind in the Stress Testing Pen, add a skulk-sensor-controlled gadget to fire wind charges into the chamber occasionally when someone is looking at it. That would really sell the idea of what is going on there. Hook it up with a skulk sensor to only go off when someone is standing right there, so it won't burn through all the wind charges when no one is there.
X, My dude. This was such a Brilliant episode. It reminded me a lot of the ending of s7. The interaction with the hermits. How each one interacts different with you, how theres so much respect on you guys. How 3 guys became such a longevity of what humankind should be. This episode was brilliant, just brilliant!!!!
Xisuma, about your thinking about building "Residents" in the Wool for Wolfstreet, it doesnt matter! Like Joe said, its Art. In your Art you can do anything what you like. Like in your music, you play how you want to and not what other people want to. You should know that! BUT: in germany we say "Den größten Kritiker ist man selbst" in english "The biggest critic is oneself". Do your builds as you like, not what others want! The Armorstand work are great! Especially the pun with Joe "Permit Master", i saw it and knew what you meant with that👍

@@cookie856 well that's good they don't actually sacrifice people XD still is an odd tradition to this American XD
i really enjoyed the variety in this episode. beautiful building xisuma!!
Your armor stand creativity was incredible and you really sold yourself short, we love them!
This episode was brilliant, just brilliant!!!!
british early 00s child; remember burning model guys fondly on nov 5th. as far as i know the village i grew up in still does it to this day
Xisuma interupting me awooing along with the horn with "I know, I know you love the horn 😌 " threw me for the biggest loop 😂
Especially the pun with Joe "Permit Master", i saw it and knew what you meant with that👍
Joel's songs are the equivalent of the CoD zombie jingles for the soda machines !
Really great episode, Xisuma. Thank you for continually inspiring (and entertaining) me!
