Straight to the point! Perfect video! My tire shop wont even sell me 22x10 because he doesn't want to trim. LAME right!! Gunna do it myself so I can pound that pavement 🤣🤣🤣
Goddamn, brother, I love your guts! I need to do exactly that. I got a six inch lift kit and went from 18 to 20” wheels and it was rubbing bad when I’d make turns or go up driveways, etc. It was killing me. And the damn place that lifted it said they couldn’t modify my truck, the bastards. I’m going to Depot tomorrow to get a new grinding wheel and do it myself. Thanks so much, brother!
The 2000-05 bumper can move forward about 2.5" without trimming or anyone noticing something is off from stock. The lower portion of the headlights and the upturned plastic cover are not a problem as one might think.
@ Joseph Davis might you have any video for reference? I've got an 05 avalanche that was all factory. I put 33 inch mud terrains on that are 12 in wide plus 2 inch wheel spacers. I tried to crank the torsion keys up as much as I could with the front end jacked up but passenger side bolt sheared off. So odds are ill have to do a lift kit anyways but still interested to see how a person gets that added 2 inch clearance with these.
Awesome video. Kinda confirmed my irreversible plan. But just a heads up. If you're gonna be hammering you want to make sure youre lifting from the frame not the suspension. That way it cant fall on you as easy
Wht leveling kit u got? And hows the ride? Im about to get me 20x12s with 33s. Ik for sure i gotta do this norcal mod , i just dont know hows the ride would be with aftermarket keys
I got a GMC Sierra with 35×12.50r22lt on my truck and I have a problem with rubbing. I already trimmed the bumper but I didn't think of cutting the wheel well trim
Okay I'm not trying to pull your strings, but you should've started from top to the bottom of the bumper with the angle grinder and you need to spry some clear coat on the area of the bumper you cute to avoid any rust.
How did you do it for the left side of the truck? I’m trying to do this as well but I’m hitting something metal on the driver side in front of the tired
Sounds like there is just too much stress on the axles. Maybe lower it back down and put on a body lift. I’m not a fan of body lifts but if you really want 33s then you might have to

Endless Wishlist it definitely wouldn’t be a bad idea, also wheel bares if I plan on going with wide tires, do you prefer a lift kit over another? I’d love some Suggestions

Thank you for getting straight to the point these are the videos that we love
Every Gen 1 Mazdaspeed3 owner needs to watch this video. In our platform, the problem is at 2:39 where the bumper meets the fender. Great video!
Mall crawl for days ! Nice vid. Prawly one of the best trim jobs on the tube. Well done

Prime and paint the exposed metal. Id suggest putting rubber seal on the bumper end after sealing it with an epoxy or some clear coat of some kind.
You can also move the pumper forward using washers
Thank you! And that’s a good idea. I think I might get the Move DIY bumper. Haven’t decided yet

I got a GMC Sierra with 35×12.50r22lt on my truck and I have a problem with rubbing. I already trimmed the bumper but I didn't think of cutting the wheel well trim
You could always shim the bumper forward.. no cutting involved that way.
Yes this is true. I will when I get a dmax. Live and learn.
tone vaughan how do you shim a bumper
How do you shim the bumper
That is one sweet truck
Do you cover up the edges with any sort of seal or adhesive, to prevent rust?

If I run a pre runner on a 17 Sierra can that remedy front rub stock height 3 inch spacers 9 wide twenty's rubbing like crazy
I have the same setup, but has fender flares. Needs more fender trim, don't think I'll be able to keep flares after trimming.
Damn that’s too bad. I like they way fender flares look
Endless Wishlist running 20x12 -44 with the 35x13.50 ridge grappler. Looks good but can't turn full lock.
Trim the flares as well
I have a 2015 with 35s on a 4 inch lift and still need to cut out just a little bit
Looks good bro-ski
How did you do it for the left side of the truck? I’m trying to do this as well but I’m hitting something metal on the driver side in front of the tired
The bumper
Where yo jack stand at?
Mine still rubs a bit right behind the windshield wiper fluid reservoir lol
Is it lifted
I have a question if you cut out the wheel well won't it make your floorboard wet cus min is wet
Not here. It’s just the fender. The cab is still completely sealed.
@@EndlessWishlist ok im curious on why my floor passenger side is always wet heater core is not leaking
Mine leaks a little from the weather stripping. I need to replace it.
Hey thanks for providing this video. What size tires and wheels are you running?
No problem thanks you for watching! I have 35/12.50 on 18x12s.
Whats the offset ?
-44
Nice job brotha! I’m running 33/12.50/18s with just a little bit a trimming and no lift. Just torsion key adjust. Are you up in Reno?
Yup I’m in Reno.
What can I do I got a 2001 GMC Sonoma and 5" lift kit but it is jacked up8" and the front axle comes out when put it in 4x4and I got 33" tires on it
Sounds like there is just too much stress on the axles. Maybe lower it back down and put on a body lift. I’m not a fan of body lifts but if you really want 33s then you might have to
What wheel and tire setup you running
35s on 18x12s
Bro quick question, my rear tires rub all the time because my car is lowered a bit, should I roll or cut the fenders?
I’ll be honest I don’t really know. I’ve never had to go that extreme
Roll
Does doing this stop any and all rubbing? Even flexing?
Depends on your wheel and tire set up. It helps.
@@EndlessWishlist im asking in regards to your wheel and tire set up, did it stop any and all rubbing even while you were playing in the snow getting some flex?
No it will still rub from time to time. Not bad though. I could cut more or raise the torsion bars more but I like the way it sits now.
Well the tire crome from a 99 dodge fit a 2000 silver rodeo truck
Do you know if 33s fit without lift the truck????
Leo Nardo not possible but i m doing it tomorrow when it’s finished i will tell the result.

How not to do a nor cal
Hey man. Hoping you could help me out. I installed the same lift on my 2004 1500 z71. Are you hearing a popping noise when the suspension dips?
No but that sounds like your cv axles. You might have your front end too high and have a bad angle on your CVs
Hey guys…..here’s a video of how to almost get it done right. WTH?
Wich lift kit you have on it
Bds 6.5
