@@mrfxr1695 Hi, I found Weber OCR pretty good to work with but the timing on floating was weird. I pretty much used a sponge instead of poly float as the float was just pulling the gear off the wall. How did you find the timing?
As on video, I left it four hours, it has got to the stage that can be finished, but still felt a bit wet. I had to be quite gentle with the float, because otherwise there was a bit of unwanted drag of material there. I wish I could've left it for a bit longer and then try. Apparently it can be revived by adding water to surface, similar to lime renders, so there is no danger of running out of time with it.

Thanks Jamie, it was my first use of Weber OCR and I had experimental approach. I wanted to test it. Someone else advised to use mesh within bottom coat to avoid cracks and I agree, since couple of shrinkage cracks have formed. Not big, paint will cover it. All the best 👍🙂

It’s not the orange float that some people use for plastering, it’s the firmer orange float. Rubs it up lovely. I also use the power float with the sponge on there. 👍🏻
You are right there. It was my first use of Weber and I wanted to test performance of it. Couple of small shrinkage cracks have formed within days of application. I still think it is a good time saving product, but I will definitely use mesh next time All the best 👍🙂
@@mrfxr1695 the performance only improves with a mesh in place, complete confidence that no cracks will appear over time and helps support the material as it can become slumpy on heavy areas. Good luck when you next use it, great product in my opinion. Regards.

It is Weber one coat render. This was a trial to see how will perform when used exactly as per manufacturers instructions. One coat, no mesh. I've got couple more videos where I've used mesh within base coat, but top coat has been applied immediately after.
@@kennyx.4028 it is ok, especially for small areas if you need them to be completed in one visit. I still prefer traditional sand cement or lime mortar with scratch coat for any decent size areas

Try using a refina diamond float to rub up doesn’t need a sponge ! You probably sponged it a hour to soon . Nice job

When Weber ocr firms up an orange sponge float rubs it up nicer 👍🏻

Sand and cement kick it with some aluminite be done with it in a hour
