- The C8 Corvette Z06's exhaust note is unmistakable, but not in the way that it's distinctive to Corvette. The flat-plane 5.5L V8 produces an exotic tone derived from the established European supercars the Z06 is built to slay, separating and elevating it from the rest of the Corvette family. Our new Performance X-Pipe exhaust system embellishes that dramatic high-pitched tone.

A Corvette engineer was quoted saying "we spent years developing this exhaust and we welcome anyone who thinks they can do better". From what I've heard so far from every manufacturer , I'm sticking with my stock exhaust. Chevy did a phenomenal job on the stock exhaust.
I agree. These aftermarket stuff is making the car sound like a motorcycle. Mine is in production now and the exhaust is perfect the way it is.
It may take them years, but you have to think after market manufactures, take what is all ready in the car, and they make it better. everything builds off of each other. You have to think why is it that people use a different suspension set up on a car to run faster lap times because anything can be better evolved than what already is currently.
Probably negligible improvement with a different catback, but a catless midpipe and/or headers that aren’t bound by emission standards could offer something GM can’t
I also firmly agree. Remember, GM doesn't make exhaust systems. The C8 system is made by Tier 1 supplier Tenneco. They spent millions engineering the perfect sound, flow, power, look, etc. all while meeting strict emission and sound laws. Maybe in 1985 a muffler upgrade was a needed upgrade, but not today. In the last part of this video, it literally sounds like the stock system.

I was just at the dealership getting my Oil changed and they have to be the biggest Vette dealer in the north east area.. They had a ton of Z06's and every once in a while they would fire one of the many they had up in the showroom... My God everyone would get up and walk over to listen plus check it out.. They probably have about a 70 to 80 regular C8's on their lot, Not counting the Z06's they have too. I forgot they came out in 2019 and they have been out for a while..

This is exhaust or headers?
This is our rear, non-valved exhaust only! Factory headers, factory cats. We have Sport Cats available but haven't fitted them on the car yet, this was just the first test run with the rear system.

@@coreypatterson1386 haha nah i put my deposit down 2 years ago before the hype. For people now yeah over 5 years. For me realistically 1-2 years. Look up macmulkin. They get the most allocations

Very much so. I have the Titanium Ryft exhaust with Soul High Flow cats on my C8 Z07 and yes the sound is incredibly similar to F1 or a slight lower toned V12 💯
I still think it sounds terrible at start up I’ve been saying this since day one & at idle but I will say that it sounds ok at full rev & wide open throttle
It sounds incredible everywhere! You’re definitely in the minority haha
