This video deserves so many more views. I checked how many subscribers this channel has about halfway through the video, and I am completely BLOWN away by the production value of a channel this small
That‘s so nice to hear. We‘re not really focused on UA-cam because we rather work for private clients :). You’ll find more of our work at www.alpineracer.ch
I did almost the same in 2019, on Volkswagen T3, from Ukraine (Zaporizhzhya) to Nordkapp. Total 8600 km. It was 1 week after i bought this car with 1,6 atmo diesel, with broken exhaust, and wery dirty engine. I dont prepared car for long road, just pushed a gas. It was great experience! Without money (just for fuel), without autonomic heater, and other luxuries. I slept in car, it was so cozy, like in grandmas home. It was great trip!
This is a pure masterpiece. This entire video is simply breathtaking and amazing. Driving these cars in a crazy ways, showing that these cars still hold a punch and that they aren’t just a little museum toys or perhaps a weekend ride which I assume it is for many E30 owners right now. A beautiful landscape, it felt like a documentary. Awesome cinematography and overall experience was great. Please keep these videos coming. Much support and love for all my car enthusiasts! ❤🎉
I love Norway. I drove a similar route in old Volvo in the summer and it was great. Winter will be even cooler, but I don't have the balls for it yet. Good job guys
Great to finally see this masterpiece of a video. I actually met you at the North Cape and at a gas station shortly after (Maybe you even remember me, I'm german and went there in an old green Volvo with Spike wheels on the roof). And all of a sudden I open UA-cam today and see this thumbnail 😂 Great work guys!
I love this video. I remember my dad used to have a E30 with Diesel engine and this was the first time I drove a car. I was at the age of 7 and he let me drive it on our big property and I loved this car. Looking at the interior in this video, it throws me back to the good old days. Going fishing, recoverying my other grandpas car from the forest near german border after he got drunk and left his whole forester equipement, a gun and multiple chainsaws in the car and actually nothing got stolen. You know, in my opinion, the old BMW look better than the new ones. The round headlights, the small grill, the durability of the engine if you drive it like a normal person. I wanted to get one for myself but I didn't found any overpriced ones and I went with a Mercedes ML with LPG and Gasoline fuel system but I was unlucky and crashed it in poland because of black ice and it was 4 days after I bought it :P But yeah, I still have my 23 years old Audi A6 Avant with a modified 230hp 2.5 TDI V6 engine and it always brought me to my destination. This year I'm planning to get a Mercedes W124 or a W201 (190D) and I hope I get enought money to buy one of those two cars since I got a promotion in January and as production manager I earn like 3600Euro per month and I need 8000Euro to get some very decent car. Sure, I won't have AC but I driven with broken AC on my Audi in Summer at 32*c for 2300km to Bulgaria XD I guess driving without AC for your most of your life gives you some sort of heat resistance.
Wow, what a great video with many beautiful pictures. The idea with the E30 was really top, at a time when everyone with some older 911 films such trips, the BMW brings a nostalgic refreshment to this topic. Thanks for the cool trip.
How can you produce a movie with this amount of content and quality, and not have AT LEAST 600k subscribers?? You guys deserve way more views and subscribers than what you have now, thank you for a great movie!
Guys! Well done! 👏 At least this time I’m thankful to UA-cam for recommending your video. I feel I’ve just been to North Cape with you! Amazing footage and drone shoots! Best video I’ve watched so far this year! Going to check your website now.
Funny the opening voice over goes "The North Cape, known for its harsh environment...". In South Africa, we have the Northern Cape. Also known for its harsh environment. But its dry and very hot. Very very hot. The Kalahari dessert is found there. Cool video.
What a great video to be recommended on a chill sunday. Man that night convoy... you may aswell have been driving on the surface of mars it felt that cut off from mankind.
What a great video! You guys are clearly such great friends and very comfortable with each other. Your E30 is a real beauty, wonderful to see you all enjoy it so much with fun roads and fantastic scenery!
You guys fit into the Norwegian culture right away. Fun loving criminals, driving 9 over the limit and stuff😂 It's embarrassing we have those levels of fines for speed here.. Quite a few of us has a special fund for paying speeding tickets ready to go when that happens. I was reminded, There is a Norwegian movie made about a race towards Nordkapp. Its called "Børning" from 2014. You will find that one familiar and therefore pretty fun 😊 Lovely video you guys made! I really liked it!
Amazing drone shots and overall production👍 Surprised you dont emphasize that its the IX all wheel drive e30 you are driving since sliding it sideways is a bit of a struggle. I am curious to how effective the heater in the cabin was in the coldest areas?
Gammelhuset = old house. I dont know if its only a northern Germany thing, but food that has gone moldy is "gammelig", it comes from low german were gammel means old aswell.
Amazing trip! In my opinion, the reality TV-style interviews are not necessary, just do your own thing. In any case, beautiful scenery and imagery, congrats!
@@Alpineracer You're right, some form of explanations are very useful for context and storytelling, I'm just thinking that you guys are at your best when you're natural. Not sure what would be the best format, but perhaps something to think about? Again, it's a detail. Overall great work on this massive project.
Wow. Awesome roadtrip. I have been to the North Cape myself, although in the middle of summer. Going to Norway in Winter is on the list of "Trips UA-cam told me to take". Also, great car to take there.
Absolute stars, if you guys keep producing content of this quality you'll soon get the recognition you deserve, I'm now a subscriber, and you only popped up in my recommended section.... so entertaining, thanks lads ❤👍👍👍
E30s rock. The iX in winter Norway is probably peak utility. Only car that needs to survive the apocalypse :) Regarding your speeding ticket, this is Norway in a nutshell. Symbolically idiotic. Try being on you phone while driving - 10.200 NOK! (966USD / 898 EUR). Even when it's on speaker in the passenger seat.
A +200€ ticket for 9 km/h over is crazy. In Germany thats what the police does haha. If your driving exactly the speed limit in a bigger city you might be pulled over because they think you have something to hide, happend to my driving instructor in Hamburg more than 10 years ago.
This is great! And such a small channel? You deserve much more, I’m sure that will come with time. This would be a dream of mine to do once my car is finished, but it’s not an IX!
The first time I've seen someone who actually could have used the E30 extra equipment that exists, the "ski bag" which basically is a bag of sorts that fit over the hole behind the center arm lean in the back seat, so you can put skis in without getting the interior wet. ( A friend who doesn't even take his E30 out in winter has one for his, just because it's not common to have. :P ) Edit: And yes, it's expensive in Norway, the 120kph in the 70kph zone, would have cost you your drivers license as a Norwegian. :P
Awesome that youtube suggested this video! I saw this car somewhere along the roads... Can't remember where tho (I live in trondheim, but work not too far from nordreisa) This trip must have been a blast for you guys!
great film you guys made, so thats a big thumbs up (y) :-D but please try to do some driving courses, those slides did not look controlled at all and I don´t want you guys get hurt or smash up that beautiful e30 :-D
Good trip Guys. My son and myself would like to do the same with my 1982 porsche 911 SC. And I have a couple of questions. 1 - in which month did you go there? 2 - did you use just winter tyres or spikes?
Hi Roger, that would be an amazing trip to do with your son! 1. We went during February, however we suggest going during march when there is more snow and less unpredictable weather. 2. Good winter tyres (scandinavian spec) are essential but spikes are not necessary if you‘re only planning to stay on the road. If you want to hit the ice and do some drifting definitely get spikes.
Well done boys!👏 Great car! Great adventure! Great videographer! Great team! Thank you for sharing with us. Did you drove back the e30? Or send it back in container ship? 😃
