Freddie LOVED to strut so FLAMEBOYANT LOL!!!!!!!! At the concert at MSG in 82 he grew the moustache and asked the audience if we APPROVED by APPLAUSE and he said if you don't like it FUCK OFF the crowd EXPLODED and the concert was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!
When this song came out, a lot of people thought that this was an RnB band. It's easy to see why....the bass line, the vocals, drums all sound pretty funky. Nope, they were a rock band from the UK, just being one of the most versatile acts in music. Great review, and I'm glad that you liked this song!
Queen is on a whole another level. Its during a time when you had to really sing, move, and play has a group. Now is one person with a backing band, you never get this type of playing now. Love your reactions and comments.
Fast Queen? "Stone Cold Crazy" "Dead On Time" Slow Queen? "My Melancholy Blues" "Love Of My Life" Epic Queen? "The Prophet's Song" "Brighton Rock" Rocking Queen? "Hammer To Fall" "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" Funky Queen? "Fun It" "Dragon Attack" Name a genre, there's a Queen song to fit it. This is only the tiniest tip of the iceberg called "Queen" Have fun. Peace
All of your Queen reactions have been great. Back in '82 we rocked this song on the bus home after a victory. I was a senior in HS. You are using the studio versions effectively, hearing the best tracks we all heard back then. Well done.
I love how you were dancing while sitting down and moving your head back and forth - everything! I think we were all doing that with you! Like being in the same room as you! Anyway amazing reaction!
When I went through recruit basic training at 1RTB (Australia) , this was played whenever someone quit or washed out. Had to march down the hallway pass all the other recruits you had worked with, lived with and bonded with
every sports venue is basically a queen concert with another one bites the dust , we will rock you , and we are the champions always in the mix at every and i mean every major sporting event
Queen songs are for every moment of life. These guys created songs for the normal people in not one specific genre. Freddie Mercury presence on stage was amazing he owned the crowd.
:-D Yes, that's Queen. Early 80's so their long hair from the 70's is gone and a mustasch have entered Freddies face. Freddie had 4 extra teeth in his mouth and the mustasch helped him to hide them. You have probably heard a lot of their songs without realize it was them. I bet you've have heard We will rock you and We are the champions. Othervise my suggestion are some of my personal favorites: One vision (Studio version, highly recommended) Breakthrough You take my breath away (studie version, not live) Excited to see what your next reaction video will be.
This song has always been absolute FIRE!! This was a staple around the rollerskating rink!! My personal favourite from this album is Play the Game. Well worth your time (like pretty much all other Queen songs!!) Keep up the great videos.
You should see the video of Queen live at the Live Aid concert at Wembley. It's widely regarded as the greatest live concert ever. 25 minutes, and Freddie had the audience completely under his spell. Other than that, "Radio Gaga" is probably the next Queen song to hear.
@@JonathanGarcia-pq5hg John Deacon - the man created the two probably best known bass lines in rock and is mostly (Freddie went happily along with it) responsible for Queen's funk phase (1979-82).
@@mori1bund John got his inspiration for creating these twoo catchy bass lines from hanging out with the band Chic at their recording studio in the late '70's.
Also probably the member of the band who was closest to Freddie, John Deacon retired from the band after Freddie died and does not play with the others when they tour with singers like Adam Lambert.
The saying, "amother one bites the dust" pre-dates this amazing song. Itis simply a reference to something or someone losing or dying in the same manor as countless others before ;-))
Queen’s bass player (John Deacon) wrote this song. Queen wasn’t gonna release until Michael Jackson encouraged them to do so. Told Queen it would be a big hit. Btw, MJ was a big fan of Queen & would go to concerts when Queen was in town. You should do this song live at Wembley 1986. It’s fabulous!! And you should check out Freddie & MJ’s demo collaborations THERE MUST BE MORE TO LIFE THAN THIS & STATE OF SHOCK. Are you enjoying your Queen journey?
the phrase is an old idiom referring to someone falling to the ground dead, as a soldier being shot and dying as his face hits the ground. (bite the dust) today, it is commonly used in a broader sense to denote failure or defeat. example: "after the factory closed down and left everyone unemployed, all the small businesses in town bit the dust too."
The Song Was Written By John Deacon, The Bass Guitarist! He Composed A Lot Of Queen’s Songs , Especially You’re By Best Freind, Another One Bites The Dust, And Many More!
More Great Reactions. I have an old metal mug from long ago. As I hadn't used it in years I thought it was time I did. So I made a coffee in the Mug. When I took my second drink from it a large piece came away in my mouth. I suppose you could say, 'Another one bites the rust'.
You should check "killer queen" if you haven't already you won't be disappointed. The hat he wears with the horns reminds me of our track runners when I ran in HS.
I know I'm late to the party, but I wanted to relate this story, and it is a true story. It is about a minister that was busy with a funeral service. The funeral party was at the graveside when the minister's phone rang (he forgot to put it on silent). And his ringtone was, yup, you guessed it, his ringtone was 'Another One Bites The Dust'. 😵😶🤣
Queen had many great songs. I remember when this song was a hit on the charts. Something that also might be of interest to you; Def Leppard- Love Bites; Let's get rocked; or Armagedoon it. Great songs. Enjoyed tour reaction :)
Fun fact, Freddie was friends with Michael Jackson and played this for him before the album was released and Michael to them this was his favorite song on the album and would be a hit.
Princess Queen was one & only band ever which record classic Music album, blues one and jazz .It wasnt just rock Group, absolutely magnificent chapter in Modern Music. My favourite best record: INNUENDO
Love your reactions hun, try Killer Queen by Queen, also definitely Fat Bottom Girls, Princes of the Universe, many others. Queen is one of the most, if not THE most, influential bands of their time. They were no stuck in one 'type' of music, their live shows were always packed. Freddie's voice was amazing, his stage presence and persona truly is what made the band explode. Don't get me wrong, ALL of the members are extremely talented, but Freddie was able to draw them out and bring them together.

When I was in Jump School we would stand around the base of the 200 foot tower looking towards the top while the Black Hats played this on the loud speakers. Fun times.
Listen to Under Pressure, live at Wembly 86 and Somebody to Love, Live at the Bowl. Two AMAZING live performances! See what you think. So much content could be created from Queen. Great reactions Shiloh!
I have read that Samuel Butler's translation of Homer's Iliad (1800's) used "bite the dust" to translate some archaic Greek phrase otherwise meaning "die in battle".
Another vague Queen song that I like is "One Vision", and it's part of a really good sequence of the movie "Iron Eagle". Bonus, listen for the final 2 words of the song...it's classic Freddy Mercury.

John Deacon composed this, with "Good times" by Chic in mind. To make a "song" that is the bass-line. He also played the rythm-guitar. Timeless.

So ahead of their time....
Might I suggest next under pressure, killer queen, fat bottom girls, radio ga ga (the inspiration of Lady Ga Ga's name)
Queen are a national treasure in the UK, their songs are better known than the national anthem
You will soon be wearing Queen merch after the Queen rabbit hole.
I really love this song from Queen because it's my number one favorite song of my number one favorite rock and roll band ever.
Im so happy you got around to listen to Queen .. epic sound and epic voice from Freddie.. one of the best performers in the world RIP...
