First time i’ve heard the words “science teacher’s trousers” in a car review. QUALITY 😂😂👍
“The headlamps look like some stylised number twos. I don’t mean the toilet number 2!” - I nearly spat my drink out 😂😂
Enjoying the reviews. Informative yet entertaining 😂😂
😁😁😁
A very comprehensive and thoughtfull review ,with lots of points that you made well. Being a similar age to you Mustard i agreed with everything you had to say right down to the science teachers trousers 😂😂
I enjoyed watching this .
Re gen braking and stuck calipers very subtle jibe about things setting on fire , made me laugh.
Thank you. I genuinely enjoyed the car, though. I love making car reviews 😊
@ProjectNigel I've not driven an electric car yet it pretty decent .
Your best car review yet boss!!
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thank you 😁
The Miller parental family unit was partial to a Renault, my father had a 10 year dalliance with a variety of the French fancies before becoming enchanted by the charms of the Austin Montego. Eventually repeated early onset terminal rust would sour the Montego relationships and by then he had become envious of my BMW so bought a bigger, newer, faster one to put me in my place. I saw one of these at the supermarket and I thought it looked quite smart, though I wonder if it feels like my most recent Renault experience. I borrowed a Renault Talisman, a Renault 25 size car we don’t get here but you can get in Europe and whilst it was nice, it was a top of the range job with leather and gadgets and other assorted niceness it did feel a little ‘thin’ when it came to materials. However that’s not unusual, Fords feel a bit ‘thin’ inside to me too. ‘Thin’ is distinct from ‘hard’ which is how a Citroen or a Toyota feel inside to me. I’m not sure I would have one of these, I quite like the look of it and it seems pleasant inside but I’m not sure I want an electronic car. I don’t have electricity in my garage and they feel like quite a liability for someone who likes to buy their car outright and then keep it for a long time. And whilst all those screens look whizzy and fancy now nothing dates a car like the screens. My friend has an L322 Range Rover, the sat nav screen thing in that was the dog’s danglies when it came out but we can’t stop laughing at how terrible it looks now.
I used to own a Renault Megane. That also used to stop for no reason.😂
Own a Megane E-Tech you will change your idea again. It is cool. It has a good quality and very effective at all.
@@akifleventSame.. Just love it.
Good video Paul would you like one I rather have the money 😎
I wouldn't actually want one to keep, but it is certainly an interesting car
Clever car & nice colour & snazzy interior. My science teacher had trouser’s like the dash material & he drove a Renault 4
Classic science teacher car
The key to The Tower Of London is smaller than that brick required to operate that (e)car! 😂
True enough.
That is not the regular key. It is a big case with the key in it. 😉
E-Fred 🔥🔥🔥
No! 😟
I'd like to see a Mustard and Boaty go electric episode.
I must ask you what your thoughts were on your trip to "The Dark Side" ? For £45.000 ! ! .. I'd want a sauna with a maiden to towel me dry inside that abomination. Never the less, you gave it ( pop into an Australian accent) 'A fair go mate'. I'll never be tempted as I would fall asleep inside that four wheeled double bed.
Can't believe you didn't test that centre console to see how many tubs of curry it would fit.
🤣🤣
My first thoughts were it looks like a Transformer 😁
Megatron 👍 actually don't mind it.
Yes I can see that, but I didn't notice it at the time
Yeah one of my main objections to this is that if we're trying to save the planet (I'd love to) I don't think a good way to do that is by producing big cars that have to be recycled because they can't be maintained past their design lifespan.
I know most cars don't last much longer than 10 or 15 years regardless of age or power source but if you're motivated you could make an old car last a long time.
If that's not feasible with this then it seems to fall at the first hurdle
I want sustainable, interesting, involving transport and that's not common on four wheels
I certainly agree with your point, which is why I my cars are pretty old now
You could never replace Fred the Shed with one of those things 🐈
I wasn't expecting to
Just making sure
Nice car. I like the styling. There are lots of cars with uninspiring sounding engines. In an ideal world I would like them to build cars with character, that sounded great an offered an exciting drive. That's what I'm really interested in. I guess we just have to enjoy the classic stuff but use these as daily drivers. I could certainly enjoy the comfort and other aspects on most normal journeys. 👍
Could it be that it thought you were going to hit the vans behind you? 8:34
Yes, but I was nowhere near them 😅
@@ProjectNigel Strange electric gismos.......doings !!🟤

Fantastic Review mate 🚗🔋I'm not the biggest fan of electric cars. But they do have a purpose to some people and certain locations 😁But Renault have done a great design and also love the interior. Very unique and desirable and most likely made with eco friendly materials. I did laugh when it decided to do a harsh brake as it thought you was gonna crash into the Ghost of the Yard of DREAMS!! 🤣🤣😉
I am not a fan of EVs either, but I genuinely did enjoy this one
YES it will try to stop if you go over a paper bag! My Ssangyong did it and frightened the life out to me. I checked the manual and turned the sht off! In London, people just step out in front of you all the time and the car will just scrape to a stop. Hella annoying.
It’s a very good car, it’s comfortable and definitely fast enough. It makes my daily commute totally stress free and I feel safe. It even has a good HiFI. I’ve done a decent road trip of over a hundred miles and it managed it forgot any fuss.
Great review, like the style. I drive an EV as a company car, therefore depreciation and high insurance costs arent an issue, but would i get one as my own car.. prob not. But they are great and cheap to run if you mostly do local miles and have a home charger.
Great review, never driven a leccy car, I think I'd think similar things to you.
Which is either scary or very good, depending your point of view.
Do I like it? Yes.
Would I buy one? Maybe not
It stopped because you hadn't put on your seatbelt, I reckon. Good idea if so. You can adjust the steering wheel feel. I had a Modus that had an American steering wheel feel ie light, took a month to get used to it in town & I loved it, out on the open road it got stiffer. Read instruction manual before critique.
It didn't stop because of the seatbelt - I was reversing, and it's legal to reverse without the seatbelt.
A brick on huge wheels, would do my head in , way too digital for my feeble analog brain to handle!
Very wacky electric thing ⚡💥🚙💨...😊
2:04 I like the overall design, but I'm really not a fan of the modern trend of diamond cut alloys. They just look common and overly complex.
I prefer a nice simple design on wheels
This reminds me of the Nissan Leaf but more attractively styled.
Is it worth £42,000+? No.
I do like EVs, quiet but powerful.
Nothing like a heated steering wheel especially in climates.
Mind you, I do like a nice classic. But an EV is nice as a everyday vehicle.
Project...Netron🪐✨🚙💨⚡?! 😮😊
I thoroughly enjoyed your video.... Your style, commentary and technique are all completely different to the mass of videos out there - congratulations.,
As for that vehicle.. NON..... Expensive and it has recently been discounted.... All these vehicles will drop in value like a stone in water...
At £20 000 people would be mad keen.. but at the prices they ask .. it's not realistic for just about everyone..
Thank you very much 😊
Just literally a box on wheels apart from the front lights it's so bland
That's what a car is. What else did you want? Carriage with a horse? Be my guest
@@AnonTriple anything but a Renault nothing but unreliability I've had 2
@@interceptor-ss8kb oh you're one of those people. I've driven 6 different car brands including a Kia, Mazda, Holden (Australian car), VW, Volvo and a Renault and the Renault was the best car, best experience and best value.
@AnonTriple absolutely not I've only had Renault, very briefly a volvo and a few Fords and by far the worst were Renault the megane I had was so bad I got a replacement and that was fine for 2 years then started playing up utter crap. My wife has had a far more interesting car history she's had bmw, Audi, Land rover, Volvo, Volkswagen. The best car she had was a skoda Superb estate.
I've just noticed the Mona Lisa on the thumbnail! 😀
😅
Personally I did not like the look of recent Renault cars. Also I find the modern style of car design ugly. Put them together and it is really not my cup of tea at all!
'Let's take the rear view mirror, an item that has been 100% reliable and failsafe since its inception, and replace it with a 50x more costly camera system with numerous and inevitable points of failure.' Brilliant! 😀
'F me it stopped for no reason!' 😅 Another Renault innovation!
I'm afraid that after about half the video I just couldn't take it anymore and had to leave the room until something else came on! 😀
