Daniel, hi there from the other side of the equator. This is really interesting and entertained clip and I enjoyed the journey. The length was ideal for what you were working on and the railroad cuttings looks great as does the road. I'd agree with your oil stain comment on the road in that it's a little on the heavy side, but the overall effect given where it's located is great and blends in perfectly. Overall the scene you've created looks great and the illusion of the cuttings gently curving away under the road while the track actually pulls away sharply on the hidden curve is really effective. While my N scale interests are framed around German and US rail-ways/roads, I enjoy watching two other UK themed railway modellers as they develop their layout and have now added you to my viewing list. Thanks for sharing, BRgds Brent
Hi Dan, excellent work, that has changed that area so dramatically and makes a great scene. The video isn’t too long, if the content is interesting which yours was it’s not a problem. Cheers for now, John
Superb work Dan. Fantastic running shots into and out of the two cuttings. Now you've given me an idea for the last part of the scenery for my own layout - where the lines go off to the 2nd helix ! Cheers Euan
Hi Daniel This a really great work, personally, I do like these longer videos and the time lapse sections, I find them very inspirational, its good to see the end result looking so good from simple tasks and materials. Many thanks, looking forward to the next one.
Cant believe how much you have got done, still amazes me how youve done all this in 2/3 months, about the same time it took for me to do a few retaining walls 😂
G'day Dave your layout is 100% as far as I'm concerned just wish I could do the same with mine (still trying) Just have one compliant about your photography you should slow down when moving around the layout and I think you are having trouble with the focus as often the overhead will be in focus but the train is not I know it is hard to do when your doing it all by yourself and for that your doing great. After a bitch from Australia I congratulate you on a great layout. Wayne. p.s. have watched all of your videos now so keep them coming I'm learning a lot from you.
I do agree my camera work does need improving, I think I may get a little carried away at times and rush the movement, need to start using my tripod more! You're not the only one who's mentioned this, as for the focus, it can be hard to film close ups and zooms in N gauge due to small nature of what's being filmed
Great video and I love your rendition of Roade. Will all this be destroyed or dismantled when/if you move? Would be sad if so. I think you dismantled your other layout to? And what of the stock?
I am enjoying your video. Nice build. I really like the concept you have going here. But can you plz do us all a favor? PLZ slow down the camera. Your going so fast from one thing to another and then back again. Its making me a bit dizzy. As soon as I focus on something its gone out of frame, then 3 seconds later its back. When your panning around the view on the layout, take your time and let your viewers soak in the view. Plz, do not take this as me trying to be mean. That's certainly not my intent.
That is so clever. Hiding the sharp curves and fooling the viewer is brilliant. Great work and great video. Very professional
Thank you ever so much!
As a WCML driver I love the roade bird cage feel it’s amazing work
Thank you! Do you run the Loop like or Rugby-Mk route
@@greatdeltan6556 I do the old line (Weedon) more than the new line (Northampton) but I do both
Really enjoyed this, thank you. Good to see trains running at a realistic speed too!
Masterclass that!
Cheers Nick
That hidden curve is genius 👌
Thank you! Glad it worked out well
welcome back you've been missed
Thank you, very nice of you to say
Great to see you back on here, really missed your video's as they give amateurs inspiration to build/improve their layouts.
Thank you what a nice comment :)
I really like that, the IRL cutting is pretty good for trainspotting
Yes much agree
Fantastic, love how this new layout is progressing. 👍
Thank you :)
Super job, nice train🛤🚂👍👍.
Greetings Gert
Thank you!
I can remember many a time walking this junction & taking blocks onto the Northampton line

It's very aesthetic to the eye so would definitely recommend something similar yes

Still, could be even quicker!
@Great Deltan any quicker and you'll be building your 4th 5th snd 6th

Am I right in siting this just after Wolverton where the Northampton Loop departs from the WCML ? very impressive landscaping
Yes it's where the 2 lines split with the one line going straight to rugby and the other to Northampton/Long Bucky, just north or Wolverton
Are the girders there to stop the walls caving in???...there near the southside of Northampton.
Pretty much yes I'd assume, and in the real thing there's only one bird cage structure which is a lower level than the adjacent tracks
Great video and I love your rendition of Roade. Will all this be destroyed or dismantled when/if you move? Would be sad if so. I think you dismantled your other layout to? And what of the stock?
A lot of this will be answered in my next layout update due soon, but in short yes it will be dismantled, as for stock I haven't decided yet
