I just got the gst 300 with the negative display and I love it it's easily readable unlike my gst 400 with its totally unless tiny dark unreadable display and no auto light either it's a nice looking watch but other than telling the basic time with the hands it's next to unless for anything else you can't even make the date out on the gst 400 unless you have perfect vision and the correct angle in perfect light, so all in all much prefer the gst 300 anyday as it does everything nicely and is actually usable....
Thanks for an excellent review of an excellent watch! - it is SO beautiful! -- i am thinking of an upgrade from my Protrek 3500, though it is still working, fine, i want the analog part too -- greetings, Levi in sweden
very good video maybe you don't believe this, but today younger generation have no big interests in g shock only 1980s kids think G Shock is Great. Like me & most of us!
As the proud owner of both the GSTB100D and 200D I was itching to add the 300 to the family. That was until I got my first look. I don't know.... No matter how hard I try to like it there's something just not right with the asthetics? Perhaps it's it's light button or is it the squared off bezel? Sorry.... It's just, I hate to say it, ugly. Perhaps I was spoilt with 100D.... Mate what's with al this youngsters business?? Your loosing the plot my friend..
I topples on your wrist because your wrist is too small for this watch. Even in the 3rd hole it is still loose on your wrist, so it is logical that it turns around and doesn’t stay in its place.
With each new model since the GST B100, the style and look deteriorated, trending towards less dressy, more rugged looks and ana-digi.If I want rugged looks I will go for the Mudmaster. The front light button messed up the look, front of the watch appear chinless. The new B400 also looks weird with the small size and wrong proportion. The GSTEEL B100 remains the most stylish and dressy although it is the oldest model.
The 200 version with metal strap looks miles better. This one has an unbalanced display,no need for the weird gear looking thing at the bottom or the cheap 80s looking light button or the extra little round screen that looks out of place covering the all in one lcd.The flat screws look worse than the previous ones and the 12 at the top looks odd without the other quarter markers not numbered.Lastly I don’t like the carbon resin jutting out either side of the crown button.Just my opinion, but it’s still a good looking watch but Not as good as the two previous ones.
🤔 A metal Gshock WITHOUT a metal bracelet?? Is this some kind of joke??? In terms of design and overall aesthetics this is worse than GST-B200D 🤕. As a predecessor it should have been better. Unfortunately it has so many design flaws. 🤦12 o'clock marker looks weird, also the digi round window at 2 o'clock ruins symmetry. The function indicator at 6 o clock looks like it had been made with a chainsaw. So bulky, hideous and chunky. Like a old Russian tank. 😒 Overall impression is that we look at a squarish and rugged piece (when we put it aside the older but sleeker GST-B200). TLDR. It's a shame that casio couldn't come with something better in terms of design. My advice, buy the cheaper GST-B200. It it 99% the same with this one, but more balanced and beautiful. 🤫
@@Luke-bt4do "rubber last longer". That's the best joke I've heard today 😅🤦 Maybe you don't know, but rubber degrade over time. Yes, DEGRADE. The degradation could take place in various ways depending up on the environmental stresses such as: exposure to UV, extreme heat, ozone, low temperatures, etc. Rubber is a polymer and the polymer chains break under these stresses causing the degradation of rubber and a brittle failure. But with Stainless Steel, I guess you don't have this kind of worries 😎 Well, each to his own.
@@ovidiub7316 your full of it mate I've had g shocks with both resin/rubber bands and stainless and honestly with daily use the rubber holds up better the stainless scratches easy I've also had links snap and drop the watch off my wrist as well as the clasp fatiguing after a while and unlatching the watch if it has a a hard knock which is what a g shock should be designed for I've never had a rubber or resin band break on me yet, I've had them to the point of having chunks out if them but they've never failed and what would you rather replace a 20 dollar resin band or damage one link in the stainless one and have to replace to whole lot for a 100
This is my G-shock Holy Grail!! One day soon I will have this
Did you get it bro?

I have this exact model & it's a great watch.
I love mine and it feels great with the steel band ......The steel band is a must !
Just ordered one. Can’t wait!!!
Thanks so very much for the video. Really searching for a good detail review like this for GST-B300S. Keep it up...
A lovely looking watch man. I'm always a fan of the rubber bands too for the comfort factor so a thumbs up from me. Cheers brother!
I have a GA-2100 and when I saw this, I instantly fell in love. I don't want to buy it because I'm afraid I won't be wearing my GA-2100 anymore 😂
I love G-SHOCK as well
Great video review! What aftermarket bands have been working with this model?
Great video and channel! Please can you tell us if you can fit a 20mm nato strap on the GST-B300?
I like the B200 better but this one is still damn good! But nothing beats the b400 among the gtsb family.

Quite a big step there, maybe GST-B200 would be a nicer transition.

@@gshockhighfashion thanks for the tip, but i like this all steel one better ;)
Ok. Just got my watch but it won't turn on. Help?
How do I set the negative display on this watch?
Press adjust to set the information or just use your phone for that
Full metal case?
now, i'm aware of your channel name but why not review some Edifice models as well?
Is this watch resistant to mud, dirt etc etc? Also is it relatively durable to hard impacts ?
Yeah of course since it’s a g shock.
Eres el mejor!! Dales duro!!

What is the size of your wrist bro?

Please make a video on the disassembly of this watch.
:) love from india
Nice but gets scratched? Not a GShock!
Yeah, the metal ones get scratched. That’s why it’s better to go with the resin bezel version. The resin bezel version is cheaper too!
How is it not a G-Shock if it gets scratched? Literally any watch will get scratched regardless of material...

Totally agree ,thats why i just purchased the B100 few days ago even though its an old model.
TRUE! GST B100 is the best model of the G steel series! Real men's watch!
B100 has a fantastic design but is unfortunately far, far too large for the vast majority of people out there.

A lot of watches come with rubber band, specially meant for water activities

They make the same watch with a stainless steel bracelet model so you have a choice....
