Great comparison my friend... Have recently reviewed the GST-B200G and was most impressed. If I had to choose, the 200 is tipping me, mainly because of the sub-dial and that the digital LCD is one piece, but the icing is the crown guard being the look of a crown :) Cheers for sharing a quality production... big thumbs of support as always :)
I charge my g-shocks overnight. I put them within about 1cm of a low-energy light bulb. They will not get hot at that distance; they get mildly warm. They are always back up to high battery level next morning. Then they last for months before dropping to medium battery level. It depends on the watch though. My (G1000B) MR-G takes quite a lot longer. It might be a larger capacity battery to cope with possible syncing with satellite, which uses more power than multiband.
I have a GST-B200-1A (Stainless Steel). After seeing it on one of your previous videos, I couldn't resist and bought the GST-B200B shown here. In my opinion, the GST-B200B is better looking than either the GST-B100 or the GST-B300. My only concern is the lack of protection for the face, as you pointed out. Which is a standard feature on most G-Shocks. We'll need to be careful, I guess. Update, Jan-2021: I installed glass screen protectors on my GST-B200 and GST-B200B (first time I do this on a G-Shock)
@@alextais1564 Hi Alex, I don't agree with that generalization. Over the years I have worked in various countries (USA, Canada, Sweden, Malaysia) and no one had ever had issues understanding my English or numbers for that matter. Same is the case with my other colleagues from India. And secondly, the maker of G-Shock Highfashion channel is not an Indian for sure. I think he's Japanese.
I like the green digits in the black background in the b300. However I see on various websites that the digits seem to be white in the black background. Is it because websites show shifted colors from real one or there is green digits version in addition to white digits and black digits?
Tell you what though, the one thing I like about the 300 better is the shape of the hands. I wish I had a 200 but with the 300 hands in it, that would be perfection.
@@gshockhighfashion Great I think it might also make for a nice video maybe if it works. Thank you I would really appreciate it. Yes, hopefully standard 20mm spring bars should fit.

I need a tip please there are so much different G-steels out there. For which GST modell should I look if I just want a black GST with solarfunction in the 300 size?
The smallest G-Steel by size comparison will be the GST-B200 like seen in this video. There's an black version just released recently and pretty limited as well, here is the link: amzn.to/2HkYOqQ
Jumpstarting...interesting. Might get a hardly used dead gst b300 for less - plan is to leave it in full sun for a few days. But how does this jumpstarting work?? Any vids of this?
If you charging it under the sun, place the watch in a container filled with water. The watch would still be charged up as usual but without overheating which literally could melt the movement/gears inside.
I own the B200D, bracelet version. Great watch, really impressive. Couldn’t be happier. Only complaint is the stamped clasp, I would like to change it to a milled clasp. Highly recommended!
There is no discussion to be held ... 200 series by a country mile!! I was so disappointed when the 300 was released. As the proud owner of both the 100 and 200 series, both with stainless steel bands, I was so wanting to add the 300, that was until I saw it! The 300 is just wrong! The light button makes it like something out of an 80's Battlestar Galactica re-run!! Damm shame, damm shame!!!!!! A couple of other points, the bezel screw heads on the 200 are referred to as tri-wing and form part of most modern presision screwdriver kits so no big deal.... As for the crystal being subjected to damage (200) it does sit a couple of mills lower than the bezel which seems to do the job.... Mine has been knocked against walls for eg time and time again and the crystal has yet to be marked.. Got large wrists??? Then the 200 is a far better choice, sorry brother you got that one wrong but then again you based on your wrists, anything over 8 inches belongs to a bohemath...
What is this carbon core stuff. I've ruined most of my plastic watches by damaging the strap pin holes. Tearing them out. Is this material any different?
New to the channel and in fact new to the Casino GShock. I don't own any battery powered watches, apologies for the poor terminology, I never bought anything but mechanical so far. A GST 100 series I believe, caught my attention. Steel case, brown leather (looks like) strap with steel bracelet option. Not sure but might be without "crown" guards as the GST 200/300. From what I've seen here, 100/200/300 are of similar size. I opt for max 43mm case (mechanical) watch lately, I do recall when the trend "big is better" and we used to call the 40mm or the 42mm "small". I can go for larger case but that depends what are the lug to lug measurements, case height etc. Although the GST is appealing, am somewhat off due to its size. The 200/300 review gave me the impression that the 300 with its smaller pushers, sporty yet more elegant in comparison, but then again am no expert. Another thing that puts me off is the strap, feels to rough and rigid. I would like a better option, like a smooth and soft either rubber or silicon strap, like say, a Breitling (mid range is fine - no need for AP strap) and a buckle that would match the watch appearance. Something a bit thicker, more solid, more toollike. Thanks for the well worded and presented review. Edit: given that I own several diver watches which actually use at sea, never had to deal with rust. Any reputable spring bars are made from high quality materials against corrosion.
Welcome!. To start there are 2 types of GSteel both with 100/200/300 numbering. When you collect and love watches you always need one or two g-shocks as they are practical watches. I wear my g-shocks during work, riding or when doing something that might destroy my mechanicals if I have an accident. Watches are like clothes, there is a time and place where you can wear them. I don't treat my g-shock as fashion accessories as they are serious tool watches for the features they have.
