Hey Everyone, thanks for watching. Which of the watches mentioned was your favorite? Also, quick typo correction, the Lorier has a plexiglass NOT a sapphire crystal. This is commonly used in their watches across the board for more vintage appeal.
What I love about PRX, it looks so much like Rolex Oysterquartz Datejust 17000 ( a goal watch of mine)...so i can get something similar for much cheaper. Also I believe the Datejust was designed by Genta!
The Zelos Nova Aventurine is a nice micro brand watch I had no idea about and really want to see if I can get my hands on one to add to my collection. I just picked up a Tudor Heritage 1926 M91550-0005 and would love to see you do a review on it . Thanks Teddy for all the knowledge on this channel, as I could not have started building a collection without it.
@@wineman88881 yeah 8-9k, but in terms of the market it's playing in - it remains kind of a bargain. Laser ablated dial, co-ax movement with worldtimer complication that "looks' more expensive than something like a Sub, or even a plane jane Oyster Perpetual (retail).
Great video. I would add the Glycine Combat Sub. It represents quite the value at the current street price. I recently purchased the GL0092 version for $315. Last week, I visited a watch repair shop to get a battery for one of my quartz divers. I was wearing the Glycine and the proprietor of the shop congratulated me on my "nice Tudor Heritage Black Bay". The appearance of the two time pieces are quite similar. I've been impressed with everything about the Combat Sub, especially the case thinness and the finishes. It looks and feels more expensive than it is.
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MaMaCoo 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
The Grand Seiko Snowflake is my favorite, I have two Seiko watches in my wardrobe of watches and I love both of them. My local, small town (I am just north of Nashville, Tennessee) jeweler is always is happy to see me when I come in to his shop. I never spend more than I can afford to pay in cash, and I always use a charge card for points. Part of the fun is saving up cash for my new purchase, the feeling of anticipation is magical, it's like a good meal.
The Omega 300m (in blue) is great. I think its a wonderful complimentary piece to a collection, and you still have the room to get/have a Sub or GMT Master II in your collection. The BB58, just isn’t as nice as the Omega 300m. Also, the JLC is amazing, but the Reverso takes too much of the conversation for that brand. They make some fantastic watches that aren’t Reversos.
Orient Bambini of course. Longines Master Moonphase. Zelos Swordfish. Just got my first Richard LeGrand because of you Teddy and I'm impressed. I hate saying it but Invicta Pro Diver. At least looks more expensive until you handle one. And I actually agree with the Omega Seamaster bit. But I'll throw in the Aqua Terra.
Love this list. I have a pretty small seven watch collection so far. Two of my seven are featured in this video (The Seamaster and the Snowflake). The green Formex is my next watch purchase when it's available for pre-order again and, although I don't have any of the Orients mentioned, I have two Orients: a green Maestro and a red Kamasu.
Why is nobody talking about Steinhart Ocean One? It is a superb watch, 39 mm, rotating ceramic bezel, brushed stainless steel, 1000ft water resistance, and a eta 2824-2 movement. All of this for around £500. I love this watch.
Astor and Banks is a very underrated microbrand. They make very good value time pieces that look expensive than they actually are. Especially the Mother of Pearl dial fortitude. I hope Teddy to review Astor and Banks sometime in the future
Great choices in the video but another comes to mind...Nomos World Time. To find a world time with in house movement from a well-respected brand at around 4K is amazing.
Very nice that you mentioned Formex. I own a Reef GMT, got that for some months now, and I really love it. There is so much thought in the Formex timepieces and so much detail in the design!
Hi Teddy. I follow with great interest all your videos, because apart from teaching and guiding, they make you ask yourself questions. Only from a technical, mechanical point of view.
Id have to add the Cartier Tank Must to the list of watches that look more expensive than they are. Similar to JLC's Reverso, and maybe even more so, the Tank Must in stainless at about 4500 US projects timeless class from a Marque which is known for some very high end watches. My XL works nicely on my 7.5 inch wrist, and while not being as "gimmicky" as a Reverso, shows a high degree of style, finish and substance which is right at home with it's more expensive siblings!
The Laurent Ferrier Sport Auto is worth a look. Blue dial perfection! Don't know if you know much about them as I know you don't typically review microbrands. Would love to see it on the site too.
Got the prx a few days back and I love it, but honestly was really looking forward to get hands on my 1st automatic with Seiko 5 but for some reasone peices selling in India are made in China so that ticked me off but happy to own 1st swiss in form of PRX
