TheStraightPipes The Mojave is parts of Cali, southern NV in and around LV, parts of No AZ, and even into Utah. Google maps isnt exactly finite about deserts boundaries.

I’ve seen a few in person and they actually look really good in my opinion. This is one of two pickup trucks that you could get with a manual transmission nowadays.
Just curious which is the other one? Tacoma?

My coworker just bought one. Mojave automatic. One of the worst looking vehicles I’ve seen in a LONG time.
But you can’t have it with the diesel, which is the only decent bloody engine available with it. I had to manual swap mine myself.
Fun fact I just learned while doing the bare minimum amount of research: The word "Mojave" comes from the language of the indigenous Mohave people of the Mojave Desert area, and means "beside the water".
Must be a throwback for ancient times LOL. Not much water out there. I own a MOW JAVE. I love it. I wish I could rock crawl with it though. Rubicon might have been a better choice for me. But I saved 11K dollars on a comparably equipped 2020 model with only 2K miles on it.
Test drove the Mojave first down a really bad road at high speed, then went down the same road in a Rubicon. The Rubicon was a hot mess in comparison, bottoming out and wallowing all over the place. The Mojave has composure and great handling compared to the Rubicon.
Had a 2019 Raptor and now own a Mojave. Personally I like the Mojave more. The Raptor performance was great, beats the Mojave on almost every level. The thing I like more about the Mojave is subjective. It feels special. The Raptor feels like a f-150. The Mojave feels/looks from the inside more sporty. I know it's technically not more sporty. Overall very happy with it. Planning on doing a Hemi swap at some point.
2020 gladiator sport bare bones, no frills, power nothing, added coating under and bed. Only issue it crabs around corners a bit in snow. I still love it. Made to customize.

We've had it on the highway with no issues. There probably is a max speed but it would be well above the speed limit

Dude the Mojave is the smoothest riding jeep on the road ever built. Much better than rubicon. rubicon you feel every bump. Mojave absorbs those bumps which is what it was built for.

Jeeps got a lack of Hemi problem. The Cherokee, Wrangler, Gladiator...
Or a supercharger.
Them being all part of FCA, maybe it's by design to give people a "mid-level" alternative to the upcoming TRX? They'd be probably cannibalizing their own product line sales that way.
You're right though why can't jeep increase the horsepower and torque with that engine?
The problem is that they can't, the Wrangler and Gladiator share the same front tooling and the Wrangler *cannot* take the V8 due to emissions issues because the Wrangler falls under small SUV for the EPA's regulations, you will likely never see the Hemi make its ways into the Gladiator because they would have to redesign the engine bay of the Gladiator by itself to accept the V8 and it still likely won't meet mid sized truck EPA regulations
This is pretty much why *nobody* puts V8s in small trucks.
What we need is forced induction, for 8 grand you can get a Supercharger kit that throws that 3.6 way above 440 Horsepower and makes the Mojave a raptor competitor in a way.
I visited Mojave, CA. It was an interesting place with a lot of wind turbines nearby and a lot of mothballed airplanes

I like how the door hinges say "T-50" for the torx bit size.
You need to stay above 2k rpms for torque. No different then a "towing mode" on an auto holding higher rpms while towing. It's also geared differently then a car. If you stayed in 5th on the highway, towing is seamless. I have a manual JLU sahara and regularly tow a 97 seadoo speedster without issues. There's some drag towing with the top down but if you're mindful of the rpms, it's not an issue.

You have to keep in mind the raptor is IFS, it's a lot harder to get a more comfortable ride out of a solid axle.
I got one of these with the eco v6 and manual swapped it. I also have dubbed it “Vin Diesel”.

How was the clutch feel? Test drove a manual gladiator rubicon and didn’t like it at all. Then I read about all the manual recalls. I drive a manual JK and I love it.
I'm not sure how J thinks this is stiffer on the road than the Rubicon. This is the best driving one due to those shocks. It swallows up bumps.
Looks like a ton of body roll. Is there an adaptive suspension option?

With the V6 engine being a dog, what we need is a factory 392 Mojave. It won't get good fuel mileage, but it will have no problem towing & will put a giant smile on your face everytime.
This, not the Wrangler, is what should have gotten the 392 treatment

Jeep should've given the manual 4.10's in all trims. I doubt it would even hurt highway mpg, just make 6th more useable and probably help mpg.
I'll know soon enough, my manual Willys is supposed to finally arrive this week.
The steering is has been fixed on the 2021 and newer model years (new steel steering box)

Honestly in 2022 safety features should be standard except maybe the dynamic cruise control and stuff like that. Also I get the comparison to full-sized trucks like the raptor but it's a midsize. It's definitely more capable than almost every truck in it's class off-road.

This is the Gladiator I would pick. Hood looks great and the steering wheel is a little beefier. SavageGeese said the suspension was fantastic for a truck due to the Raptor-like capability. The exact opposite. What gives??

The hood scoop isn't "fake" per say. Jeep just leaves it up to you to mod it for functionality. It's no different than the vents on the Rubicon.

The issue with towing was probably User error. Ok, absolutely NO NO NO reason to let the Gladiator need to downshift into 3rd gear going up a slight incline. Running a manual requires User input...before you loose speed. It's called down-shift...and then down-shift again, keeping the momentum going. Might be why the 3mpg drop while towing. Otherwise, liked the video...and this version of Gladiator. Merci
