Thanks mate yeah I’m sure you won’t regret it, just make sure your doing a few other bits that’s needed too whilst the headlining down as half the van has to come out 🤣
BTW my van is a light metallic green, and while I am sure your will look great in black n red I am not sure what colours to go for in my cab, any recommendations?
Send me some pictures over on my email mate inside and out I’ll take a look, it’s on the about part of my channel. I would be inclined to go either a dark purple which would no doubt look great with green believe it or not, or either a darker green or a dark grey/black (that’s my personal choice).. but it depends what colours you like too mate
Yeah I think a dark ivy green will look good. I've found this company that make made to measure seat covers, totally bespoke for the same pro e as ready made, so I will definitely post some before and after pics.
Creased at your disclaimer 😂 How's your door cards and red bit doing in the hot spots for getting chipped, damaged etc. How many coats did you spray of plasticoat?
p8nty lol gotta be on the safe side 😂 the door cards are ok. Not my cup of tea though, I’m going to be ordering alcantara and line them, along with the headlining. The red is holding out great so far, I’ve even scuffed it a bit and it’s wiped off clean with no permanent marks which is good. I’ve been doing about 2-3 coats on average! 👍
@@tubedarren Was tempted to spray door cards also, but such a high risk area for damage, I seen a van the other day he used the backed alcantara, black top, drak grey bottom. And resting your arms on the backed just feels right on the arm rather than unbacked as I have a few unbacked parts done still feel like hard plastic rather than nice and comfy
p8nty yeah that sounds like the best idea, I’m going to give it a go soon and will do an upload, I’m sure it won’t be too hard. Much better having a comfy van 👍
I have put a link in the description to where I bought the dye from!
great video! I'm using headliner fabric to make a mascot costume and this helped. honestly might actually be dying the inside of my car after this
Nice one Darren! Can’t wait to see what it looks in the van
Cheers JB I’m already putting it back it’s looking amazing
What dye do you use for your hair?
Did the fabric texture change in any way or is it still somewhat soft

Damn. That’s a Shiba Inu telling you if you sold the headliner for SHIB, by now you would’ve been a billionaire. Good looking job though
Can you dye it with the headliner on your car
I wouldn’t advise it!
Debating dying my poptop on my t5 ☺️
