Well, the scentence "I'm lying" without any other context can neither be true, nor false.
So the machine has no reason to check for true or false statement...
...except if the scentence implicts that you're ALWAYS lying.
And that said, no one is always lying, even if he or she might try really hard to do so.
Therefore, the statemend "I'm (always) lying" is false, therefore, the lie detector correctly beeps for a false statement.

A new world order: lie detectors + politicians covered head to toe and using voice modulators so you don't know their sex or race. The only thing you are really voting on is their policy and how they'll react to any given situation, which is what actually matters anyway. If we implement this then with my current projections we will become a utopia by 2034, or a dystopia where a country is run on the basis of who's the best at explaining why the waifu or husbando that is already the most popular is the best.

Seems you forgot about the option that you are sometimes telling the truth and sometimes telling a lie (aka the real life option). In that case your statement would simply be a lie without any loops as the negation of "I never tell the truth" is not "I always tell the truth" but "I tell the truth at least once" or "I sometimes tell the truth" which is true for most if not all people.
So, if you want to use logic, use logic, not only parts of it. Apparently, my first answer and other people's answers to your post weren't enough for you to realize your error, so I felt the urge to explain further.
On a side note, this is all said assuming there is a metaphysical lie detector that works solely on the basis of logic and objective truth. We all know how real life lie detectors work.
If there was a way to destroy this metaphysical lie detector it could be for example saying: "Schroedinger's cat is dead" as it would make the machine go beep and stay silent at the same time.
Had to come find this after seeing the TikTok trend. I’m thoroughly entertained.
