I quote another composer (from the 20Th century, I believe) ; "Not every composer may believe in God, but every composer believes in Bach." Now that's a good quote.
Impossible to describe exactly what this piece does to me. Possibly the best and most meaningful combination of strings and harpsichord ever. How on earth did JSB compose this and then write it down? I am in awe.
"Bill Gates is trying to build a "computer" with a soul... but the last "Computer" with a soul that lived among us was J.S. Bach!" - João Carlos Martins said this, and I agree! Bach is Genius! Master of the composers!
Can we hear ? Are we musical ? In my opinion this work is one of the litmus tests of our ability to listen outside of the hymn and the chorale. Music of the most phenomenal kind.
"His name should have not been bach (stream/brook in German) but ocean for his profoundness." - Beethoven. "Bach's music is the bread of life!" - Stravinsky
Bach transcribed many of his own work to transcrib them to the hapsichord ,bwv 1055 was an oboe concerto, also he wrote the harpsichord concertos with his sons in mind like bwv 1063
C.P.E. made an arrangement of the piece, listed as 1052a. The original is by Johann Sebastian, and if you had the slightest clue about C.P.E.s original music, you'd notice the many differences in style. If you don't believe me, you can download a pdf of the original manuscript at imslp, it is signed by J.S.Bach!
+Maxwell Garrison Haha! Hard debate. I personally like both, each has its purpose. But these two styles can be also combined very well, as is proven by bands such as Rhapsody of Fire or Midas Fate.
I fucking LOVE metal music, but I have to concur. Classical music is superior to EVERY other music genre. You can go from angry to happy to sad all in a span of a minute with classical music. You can't do that in ANY other genre, and make it work and sound good, especially heavy metal! There's just no possible way!
DaLucioSilla thank you very much for posting this recording! Please which orchestra or ensemble is playing with Francesco Cera? I liked so much this version that I want to buy the CD :)
According to wikipedia, it was written by J.S. Bach but there exists a version transcribed by C.P.E. Bach. Perhaps this is what confused you. wiki/Harpsichord_concertos_(J._S._Bach)#Concerto_I_in_D_minor.2C_BWV_1052 Are you going to tell me that Wikipedia is wrong? After your ridiculous condescension toward NaitsabesWinklersson, you'd better be prepared to defend yourself.
English: If anyone is interested, I have made a playlist with everything I know at the moment about Baroque music, classicism, romanticism, and ragtime. Also if it is to your liking I have playlists of various authors of these periods mentioned above.
The Cöthen period is 1717-1723. In 1738 Bach was in Leipzig (1723-1750) and there is no concerto composed in Leipzig period. The Cantata BWV 146 has been composed in 1726. Thx for posting. Who's playing?
One of my professors once told me never to trust anyone who doesn't like Bach. Very good advice.
Did HE like Bach?
the plot thickens...
PugnaciousBadger I
That could be 95% of worlds population.
I love Bach. You can trust me. So will you please send me 1052 dollars to my bank account?
Can we also mention that Bach had such great “handwriting” that we can still totally decipher this absolute frenzy?
I quote another composer (from the 20Th century, I believe) ;
"Not every composer may believe in God, but every composer believes in Bach."
Now that's a good quote.
Just about sums it up.
Bela Bartók. Wise words.
Bach believed in God...
🎼❤🎹🙏🏻🏞

Amazing piece, my favorite ever.
@@Billy.X OMG me too.
I love seeing Bach's own hand. Looks like he wrote it down in a frenzy.
"Bill Gates is trying to build a "computer" with a soul... but the last "Computer" with a soul that lived among us was J.S. Bach!" - João Carlos Martins said this, and I agree!
Bach is Genius! Master of the composers!
bach in his late years. very profound and deep also a bit chaotic. but with true mastery of all kinds of musical techniques
So true. I hear something new or hear something in a new way each time I hear this piece.
chaotic????????????????????
The same case with Vivaldi, according to his music
Can we hear ? Are we musical ? In my opinion this work is one of the litmus tests of our ability to listen outside of the hymn and the chorale. Music of the most phenomenal kind.
this goes unbelievably hard
Love heavy metal and baroque.
"His name should have not been bach (stream/brook in German) but ocean for his profoundness." - Beethoven. "Bach's music is the bread of life!" - Stravinsky
Possibly my favourite harpsichord concerto. It's very emotional.
6:38 always floors me
The only thing as beautiful as listening to Bach is to observe His beautiful script. Thanks for posting this.
I love the original versions of these concertos! That's why I'm listening mostly in harpsichord interpretations of baroque music! That is the truth!!!
wow the score,it's like he was painting music !!
Incredible complexity of writing. Bach amazes me mostly for this feature. He squeezes everything in a couple of pages.
I've only heard this on the Organ, but it does not capture the sound that the harpsichord does. T'was indeed a privilege to listen! Thanks!
Epic.
The sheet music really adds to the experience following along with it.
Thanks
When i heard this Music,i see how amazing a Human being can be.
I love this concerto. Who doesn't?
Eine geniale Interpretation, barockig, lebendig, was will man mehr? Die meisten anderen machen Schlaflieder daraus.
One word: AMAZING.
So wonderfull! I the notes "dancing" in front my eyes, I fell a sinestesic experience!
Really like how it shows his writing
Me too. For me this is the genius of Bach working in maximum level.
the greatest composer to ever do it...
Pure genius
Superb playing, auguri a tutti!
Best one on UA-cam
It is Francesco Cera at the harpsichord.
Bach rocks -!!
One of my favourite pieces from Mr.Bach:-)
This is metal as fuck
6:37 I love how bach ran out of room, so compensated that by putting repeat signs around one beat!
4:56 brilliant
I wish I could listen to this for the rest of my life 24/7.
Awesome job putting up the autograph score,
thanks!!
Unknown: Bach Please write a concerto for instruments and harpsichord, nothing to complicated.
Bach: don't worry I have a song in mind
The song:🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A true masterpice! …like always with the Bach works!
I love Gould, but this piece works so much better on harpsichord.
Bach transcribed many of his own work to transcrib them to the hapsichord ,bwv 1055 was an oboe concerto, also he wrote the harpsichord concertos with his sons in mind like bwv 1063
Excellent ! my favorite version
Quiero llorar...esto es hermoso, uffffff!!!
demasiado, yo lo uso mas que todo para trabajar.. las ideas salen muy fácil con música barroca.. jeje
My favorite piece so far.
Uno de mis conciertos preferidos!!! lo máximo!
this is insanely awsome!
This envivifies my soul.
Bach #1
5:52 It’s just so brutal.
Soli Deo Gloria!
I Barocchisti,Diego Fasolis Conductor,Duilio M.Galfetti Leader.
Francesco Cera Harpsichord.
It is always interesting to know who is playing...
What a handwriting
outstanding. thanks for the original score. I appreciate it~!
I'm not music savvy, but I do enjoy hearing a little bit of a harpsichord, now and then... :)
Amazing!!!
Really do like this!
The best interpretation.
magnificent pace of music i say bravo ! bs bach
Rocking!!!
biggest banger of the 18th century

I'm sorry
*what*
i love this
At 1.13 ooh my God what a point...!!!
One of my favorites Masterpieces of Bach! More than perfect!!
I wrote it once and I'll write it again: this is one of the *very* best. This one will slap the boogers right out of your nose. INCREDIBLE.
yup.. good edvici i love bach
This slaps hard.
Majesty.
Great piece and great interpretation!
I like your arguments and they are very true indeed. Baroque is hard to play well unlike romantic or modern.
Listening and watching is a pleasure - Excellent ! I see one person
doesn't like - HAENDEL's ghost :)
Having a debate about which is better, heavy metal or classical. This should prove convincing. he he

Maxwell Garrison *baroque
Maxwell Garrison...Symohony X...nuff said
Ryan Leonard yes
The Baroque concluded with Bach - the contrapuntal master!
Skøn, dejlig musik fuld af kraft og saft.....
I love this it reminds me of a song I played for orchestra
Exquisite. Thank you very much. :-]
In the Baroque period, instruments were tuned at 415 Hz, which is one half-step lower than what instruments today are tuned at (440 Hz).
I knew it fukers
Intense
its simply Marvelous !
Goosebumps. I want to DIE to this. Fucking AMAZING!
This is a fantastic recording. Who is playing?
Francesco Cera at the harpsichord
DaLucioSilla thank you very much for posting this recording! Please which orchestra or ensemble is playing with Francesco Cera? I liked so much this version that I want to buy the CD :)
+DaLucioSilla thank you!
same, did you find out who had done the recording?
I Barocchisti are playing under Diego Fasolis.

Just a tool for those who don t study.
🙃🤔
I'd revise the description to say: Composed in 1738, possibly based on a lost violin concerto written during his Cöthen period (1717-1723).

@@danoaks11 you should listen more Scott Joplin, he has a good repertoire in my opinion.
Ok. But where are these lists you nentioned, because you channel has just one video

How do people not like classical music it befuddles me
4:36 super trills
Wauw
you make a fine point :3
This is a great recording, but since you haven't told us who is playing, it is impossible for those who may be interested to find it to purchase.
Your uploads are splendid. May I ask if you could upload the last movement?
W.F.Bach keyboard sonata a minor 1st mvt is the beautiful one.
❤❤❤❤
Is this The English Concert playing? I'm not sure but it resembles a lot a recording by them. Thanks for posting.
At 5:52 sounds like movement I of Beethoven 5th
