I'm 50 and just started getting into Maiden, so pissed at myself as I could have attended so many concerts over the years. Amazed you started listening to Maiden and you followed all the way to Bruce's solo tracks. BRAVO!!!!!! Amazing job you do!!!!

Was just telling my son last night that my greatest concert experience was seeing Bruce Dickinson on a solo tour in 1997. It was at a club in Cincinnati. He had Roy Z and Adrian Smith on guitar. I was so close to Bruce that he was literally dripping sweat on me. The whole show was an intense experience of witnessing greatness in the most intimate setting possible. Bruce performs just as passionately in front of 150 people as he does in front of 150,000 people. Even got to meet him long enough to get an autograph. I’ll never forget that night. This just reminded me of that atmosphere.

The lead guitarist is Roy Z from the band Tribe of Gipsies who plays on Bruce's studio albums Balls to Picasso, Accident of Birth, Chemical Wedding and Tyranny of Souls.
The bass guitarist is Chris Dale from the band Sack Trick who played on Bruce's studio album Skunkworks.

Tribuzy are friends of Bruce and used to tour with his band when in South America. Roy Z (with the hat) is the solo guitarist in the solo albums of Bruce, where the song comes from. Bruce Dickinson is especially loved and respected in South America.
If you wanna do some Bruce Dickinson solo stuff, you need to listen to "Jerusalem" or "The Alchemist". Fantastic songs.
You "felt" that song for very good reason. It was very personal for him. "The Dragon" was Iron Maiden. He wrote this song when he knew it was time to leave the band, but he was afraid too. All he could do is close his eyes and jump! Throw myself into the sea, release the wave, let it wash over me.......
The best album in my opinion is 'Live After Death' fully pact concert in Long Beach California. The population bought their concerts out so quickly they ran numerous extra nights. Proud.

This was a song off of his 1992 solo album #BallsToPicasso. There was the standard version and then an Extended Version. This video version here was essentially the extended version but not quite. The studio extended version had a cool keyboard part in it that wasn't in this live performance.

This was just a Bonus Track of this phenomenal one-time concert with Tribuzy, where Renato basically invited many guests to perform with his band, as they did already on his album named "Execution". Check out the Tribuzy songs from the same concert, "Beast in the light" feat. Bruce or "Absolution" featuring Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear) - he was only jumping in for Michael Kiske but he nailed it. IMO Ralf's performance is on the same high level as Bruce did on the same concert. Saying this while Bruce is my all time favourite singer since >30 years now.
