    I fixed my slide hammer by welding on a small pair of needle nose vise grips, works perfectly now & adjusts easily for either size stud...🖖🏿😎👍🏿

    He already answered the 10 questions of pushing the hammer back in lol. Is there a different slide hammer you can get that works with that stud welder? Thanks

    The problem I've had is getting it to release the stud. They say tap it back forward, but that just pushes the dent back in as it did in this video, and it still doesn't release some times. Welder is fine.

    You need to tighten the head up on the cheap dent puller and twist it to release the pin. Pounding it back in is useless.

      Thanks, the quality of the dent pull would be my only complaint about the system.

      I tried that and it just broke the studs off in the puller. The puller is crap.

      @@Fulloctanegarage (Little late to this party I guess...) -- I got this same puller today and have been having the same problem - that puller head is pure garbage. But, twisting it was my final go-to as well, at least once the stud breaks off, you can blast the end of the stud with your hammer, or the floor, or whatever you have nearby, and break it loose that way without pushing the same dent in and out all day long. -- My eyes got pretty big at the beginning when you mentioned "five or ten seconds" -- on mine, I've been finding that applying for 2.25 seconds, it'll burn through and take part of the panel out on your first pull.... and at 2.24 seconds, the stud will fall off the panel as soon as you pull the gun away. Frustrating, but it'll make some level of progress, I hope...

    Twist it!! All you’re doing is pulling and then pushing the dent back in

    • @Fulloctanegarage
      @Fulloctanegarage  3 роки тому +1

      I tried that and i broke studs off, honestly I think the puller is defective.

    Have the same issue with my slide on a different brand. Very annoying, I found light pulls vs. large pulls helped but horribly annoying for sure.

    There is a cool down time between pins applied if you read things first .

      Try rotating the tool head to loosen it if you dont want to push the dent back in .

    I tossed that stupid attachment after finding that it won’t even grip the 2mm studs. I went to the hardware store and got a m14 nut and welded it to a pair of small vice grips. Works wonders no :)

    Why did you push the dent back in with the hammer, makes no sense, you r suppose to pull out only.

    • @Fulloctanegarage
      @Fulloctanegarage  3 роки тому +1

      Because the hammer is crap and would not disengage the stud

      The manual saying 3 second max. Then wait for 30sec for cooling.
      0.5 sec is normal.
