Another short tutorial video, this time covering the temperature and pressurization workings in the Duke.
The Turbine and Piston versions will be released in early April and there will also be a bundle package available on release where you can save money when buying both together.
The Dukes promise to be the most advanced aircraft yet from Black Square, offering a myriad of amazing features that will truly set it apart from the majority of competing MSFS add-ons. The term Study-level is often misused but certainly not in this case. Full product specs and a selection of screenshots can be found at the product pages, links below. A quick update regarding the release date of the Dukes - Due to the delay of SU15 from Asobo/Microsoft we are also going to need to delay the release of the Dukes unfortunately. Best laid plans and all that. You can read more about the delay and the reasoning here:

This is beyond what I expected. Absolutely amazing, the ability to learn systems and their behaviour interactively -- WOW! Great, how far we have come in this hobby!
The tablet is a work of art and setting new standards. I fly regularly and enjoy greatly the other blk sq aircraft but this is a different level compared to even them outstanding and pretty unbelievable the details modelled
anyone else just do a UA-cam search for Just Flight Duke, then keep refreshing until a new video appears? lol

It will be an absolute honour to fly this clearly best and most sophisticated aircraft ever developed :) And I like these old-style kerosene combustion heaters to get my imaginary aircraft cozy and warm in winter even without the engines running. The old Mooney airplanes had such a type of heating to.
One can never feel really safe with these things switched on for long without a carbon monoxide warning system, Dan Bass has an interesting story to tell about this type of heaters. They bring warmth and cozyness making the airplane more hygge than a cottage chimney on December 24th - but they can bring death too. A strange duality indeed........... Is carbon monoxide leaking by kerosene heater and a beeping CO-warner with flashing lights a possible failure and simulated in this aircraft?
Answer direct from the developer for you on this - "Yes, that is absolutely possible with my aircraft, exactly as you describe! Either engine or the combustion heater can be responsible for a carbon monoxide leak. The leak will trigger the carbon monoxide detector alarm on the panel, and the tablet will give a visual indication. All possible failures are enumerated in the manual for you to peruse on JustFlight.com. Enjoy!"
Will any of these features trickle down to the TBM 850?

I mean, honestly, it really cannot get any better than this, can it? Flown the 310R today because as I said on another video, I probably won’t be flying it much once this is released. It is the way of things…

@justflight I'm curious how many of these innovations will get back ported to the TBM850? Will they be bringing it up to the same standard? (It's already great, but the tablet with the engine, electrical, and internal/external accessory options would make it even better)

Yes that will be happening. No timescale just at the moment though on that aspect.

What if the oat is 108 degrees and the cabin is like 113 degrees how do u cool the cockpit down
So it shows open and closable controls for the defroster, pilot and co-pilot vents from the piping that allows both heat and cool air. Shame that wasnt shown in the environment video. So where are those controls at bc I'm not seeing them on the Co-Pilot panel side?
I think thats the controls shown in the manual on pages 63 and 64 at a guess. Im no Turbine Duke expert. Controls such as Copilot Air pull control, Pilot air pull control and Defrost air pull control. The Copilot air control being right of the Copilots yoke and the Pilot air and defrost air being to the left of the Pilots yoke.

The system's depth in black square addons are top notch, outstanding, however, I wish they would work on the flight model, it is extremely twitchy, even with sensitivity settings configured, it is hard to hand fly the plane like you would in real life!
If you have an issue with the flight modeling please opent a ticket with our support team and they will try and give you input and assistance where needed. Note that the Dukes and all BS products are tested by RW pilots of those specific aircraft and feedback is key to the developer. Within the constraints of the simulator the FM on the aircraft have been recognised as excellent by the community and by those RW pilots. Often the behaviour of the aircraft can seem off but will be down to a realistic occurrence that has been coded with extreme detail by the developer. Not saying they are perfect and of course there is always room for improvement especially given the host simulator isn't going to be 100% accurate (impossible at this point) but worth you getting in touch with the support team if you want to investigate further. Yep but no guarantees on a timeframe for that. But they are planned in.

Coming in April, prices aren't announced yet but I believe they will be around $40 each with a discount if you purchase both

Love the realism but will there be a simplified mode so you don't have to worry about environmental aspects.
You can ignore the tablet altogether, turn off failures if you wish, host of options to ensure you can fly it as suits you.

No!You can expect 220 with the piston Duke but maybe the turbine can reach 300.
No. 220 TAS from the piston and 269 TAS from the turbine. Bear in mind also that the turbine has a *lower* VNE (never exceed speed) - 223 IAS for the piston and 198 IAS for the turbine. So at altitudes below about 8,000' AGL, the piston is faster. In the flight levels, the turbine is considerably faster.
@@DavidR_192 I'm sure I read a flight test of the real aeroplane where they managed slightly over 300ktas at maximum continuous power at something like 21,000ft.

@@justflight For those of us that hold type ratings in real aircraft, we appreciate the level of detail. As exciting as engines are, we understand that flying is managing ALL systems in a complex and dynamic environment. This management is a part of the challenge and excitement in flying advanced aircraft. I for one am soooo excited for all these systems and challenges. Take my MONEY already LOL!!!
