A quick update regarding the release date of the Dukes - Due to the delay of SU15 from Asobo/Microsoft we are also going to need to delay the release of the Dukes unfortunately. Best laid plans and all that. You can read more about the delay and the reasoning here: www.justflight.com/articles/black-square-dukes-development-update-april-2024 So our apologies, we hope to get things moving again just as soon as possible but as things stand we're reliant on news and a firm release date for SU15. Thanks for your patience.
This is great and I'd love if it became the standard in all addons. This is one of the first things you notice going from a real plane to the sim or vice versa. The gauges simply don't move perfectly (or anywhere close) in real life. They wobble, shake, stick, vibrate, overshoot etc. i personally find it very noticeable, and its very fun to see it simulated.
This is especially interesting because there have been plane crashes after a slow loss of gyro suction pump power, especially in Pipers or other single engine planes. If this happens there is no chance for situational awareness when flying through nightly clouds fog or above forests and fields with no ground illumination. Luckily our Dukes have not only one but two pumps and also a second ADI on the copilot side so a failed pump will not prematurely end a nice instrument night flight... :) Aw I can´t wait for the release of the finest and most detailed aircraft ever.
2:30 why would low battery voltage affect the electric gyros if the generators are still operating? Edit: Changed “alternators” to “generators” after looking more closely at the panel
I don't know if I missed it, I've been watching every video that came out since I saw this product, but with the realism levels being at 200% for everything so far, how about environmental? Rain, wipers, ice build up on leading edges of the wings etc, de icing?
I think it's because of the lack of attention icing actually gets in the sim. I'm no pilot but IRL icing conditions are something that should be avoided at all costs for aircraft not equipped with de-icing equipment and severely cautioned even for aircraft with de-icing equipment. In the sim, I tested a few different aircraft flying through heavy icing conditions on full realism. While visually icing accumulated on the windows, prop cone and wing tips, the aerodynamic effects are not properly simulated and the sim didn't really treat icing conditions as having a severe impact on aircraft performance
At 1:05 the drift/toople is to much. You don’t really see that in a vacuum or pressure gyroscope. It less pronounced. At least iaw my experience. PS: Amazing work and detail you have done on this simulation.
For the love of God, please just release these planes! They're the only two GA planes I've been looking forward to for the last year after the TBM-850 was released. Perhaps you fellas could hold a coding class for the Carenado developers, they seem to be stuck in mediocre land at best, they sure do seem to do a good job putting lipstick on pigs, lol. I'm surprised you guys don't plan on releasing the absolutely amazing Lancair Legacy, that would be a one, two three Real Air salute! :) But seriously, you guys have done an absolutely amazing job with what you've released for MSFS so far, even your analog version of the Cessna 208 is still one of my favorite STOL aircraft to fly around Alaska. Keep up the awesome work guys/gals!
hopefully blacksquare could do a bigger twin turbo prop in future a black square fairchild metro 3 or a jetstream 41 would be the dream or a l-188 electra ❤😊
Wish we could swap in a pair of G5’s like we can swap the nav. Why not chuck in some GI275 while you’re at it. If I could afford a turbine duke where I upgraded the nav to a gtn650 surely I’d put some electronic gauges too.
With the BS aircraft I have been constantly impressed with the littlest of details. Often addons look good but don’t have “life”. However, every tail you find in the real world has its own personality. I love seeing this in BS aircraft! From pesky gyroscopes to naughty air conditioning units. And on planes that are older you get more personality. I’m super excited, now take my money!!! I’ll take a piston and turbine version if you please 😉
is gyro really know where the earth/gravity acceleration? or just turn out of acceleration like the ball in inclinometer? how in fighters or aerobatic it's even can works? all time accelerations vectors changing heavy. how the hell gyro can see exactly earth position in that situation? even not fighter, simple ga, that can handle 4g if the plane bank at 45* and take 4g is gyro set as horizon or will show 40, 38, 42, 35 wherever in sum it will "see" the earth? simple situation, ac fly up legs -1g then pilot pull the stick and still upward but have +1g for now, gyro just will invert back or still show real horizon position?
If my other comment gets deleted for posting a link, search "Gyroscopic Instruments in 3D" on YT, it's by Gold Seal Flight Training. It'll help explain how gyros work and how they stay fixed while they aircraft rotates around them. It's pretty cool.
Unsure of where to ask this as there is no where on the website but uhhh… iv been trying to purchase the plane for 2 days and it keeps telling me not allowed on this occasion. It’s a visa debit. USA. It’s killing me to not buy it and I’m trying to really avoid “boarding the ship”?
Head to the support section and open a ticket with the team, you don't need to have purchased from us or send an email direct. The options are listed on that support page: www.justflight.com/support

Oh come on. Stop teasing us and just release it !
Amazing stuff. Would be great to see a king air from the ground up as well, possibly a 90 or 200?
I’d really hope for that too
Now I'm scared of irl gyroscopes failing lol
Praise the Duke, the most realistic and superb aircraft ever simulated!!

Isn't a "coupled quadrature oscillator" an electronic device? How would that relate to a physical simulation of a gyro?

The details are amazing.
What's the cost for the piston & turbine duke package?

@@Not_LewisA2As Comanche absolutely does react to it. I got iced up enough once to loose 20kts TAS and it was definitely flying at a higher AOA.
@@4lifeifly fair. I did test on some base aircraft though so maybe my findings were skewed
Basically the new A2A
omg I love those videos pls keep them coming

Have you ever thought about entering the world of DCS World? I'm sure it would sell a lot.

Next one is a Beech Starship. Already mentioned by Nick in a forum post.
I wouldn't do anything for a Klondike bar, but I'd do a lot of shady stuff to get a Merlin IIIB from these guys
@@raymarshall6721 its one guy ;)

I’d love to have the G3X in there, especially with the coming Avionics Update. I think I really would use it for this plane

RIP performance
The Comanche for example is very light on performance compared to any airliner.
Hopefully enough performance to fly them in VR
For the love of God; it’s Duke!!! Without the “s”!!!
It's Dukes with 'S' because there are two Dukes coming.
Or Dukes when there are two of them - a Piston version and a Turbine version will both be available.
Rethink your comment ;)
@@justflight a more accurate way to say it would be: “in both Duke models”.
