Question, I don't fish that much but was curious why do you need to cast so far??
Well for numerous reasons let’s say you were fishing offshore & you don’t want to spook the fish you can make a long cast on them or if your fishing the bank or casting to the bank you can make a long cast with out spooking the fish . Bigger fish are especially more cautious easily spooked & fishing pressure is at a all time ever since covid & fishing has really taken off & has gotten more popular in the past few years so every advantage I can get I will take ! It also allows you to cover a tremendous amount of water to try to locate fish !
