    Full respect to heavy vehicle drivers , especially in the city , so many car drivers have absolutely no idea of how much room they need to turn and stop , and of the blind spots , give the trucks a bit of room

    Wait a minute. I'm from the U.S., and sorely tested the patience of Qnsld and NSW drivers. Yet, they were unfailingly tolerant of my L or R turn mistakes. I didn't drive at nite. I love OZ.

    3:43 Looks like the M1 where all the trucks turn over, especially at Berowra where the outside lane holds water and you aquaplane in that lane. No chance spending all that money the Hwy Patrol and cameras make us on fixing it, we'll just put more of them out there and make more money.

    Can I suggest that if your dashcam is in an enclosure and you're getting foggy videos, you put a piece of tissue above the dashcam to absorb the moisture that would otherwise collect on the lens. If not, then tape some folded tissue above the dashcam to achieve the same goal. If it works for GoPro's, it'll work for you.

      In my 7 years of driving a white passenger van (we had a blue one before that), its the tradies (especially in vans lately), p platers and mud carters that are most likely to be fuckwits.
      Mining tradies are the worst. Which is ironic considering the massive safety focus of mines.

    You need to get faster windscreen wipers for that heavy rain dude! You can buy a separate motor for the wipers which runs on an auxillary battery and they are self propelled, water sensitive and the wiper blades I got are triple bladed on my rig and it makes a massive difference.

    It pisses me off that some drivers think their time or their life is more important than other peoples time and life. If you have to be at an appointment or a job by a certain time then leave F-ing early enough that you don't have to be c¥nt to other people. Everybody's time and life are just as important as yours.

  • @JamieSaunders-yn9nu
    @JamieSaunders-yn9nu 18 днів тому +1

    Shit. I didn't realise Sydney is so full of fuckwit drivers.
    When my wife and I were much much younger we were taught to give trucks plenty of room and to be patient especially going up steep hills.
    First chance the driver would give you the chance to overtake. You'd return the favour by letting him by overtake down hill if it was safe.
    That was back in the day when you had mechanical hand signals, three sticks to change gears, no aircon and no turbochargers.
    Ditto at night, you'd flick your lights to let someone coming up the other side of a hill know so they would dip their lights (hopefully).
    Always had the clowns who liked to overtake long lanes of traffic and try to push in or overtake on unbroken lines though.
    Thanks for your time producing this video.
    Stay safe.

    When are road users (couldn't call them drivers) going to held liable for prosecution from dash cam footage? I drive a double through Melbourne every day and it's worse than this. Pure stupidity everywhere, No consideration for the lives of others or themselves. If it wasn't for the operator's skills people would die every single day. It's such a shame they care more about gaining one car space at the next red light, than Thier own life.

      Tell you what, next time you are in a truck that weighs 40 tonnes or more, see what happens when some little twat in a tincan "decides" how much room a truck needs to stop. What they did was horribly irresponsible, potentially fatal.

    • @Charlielfelix
      @Charlielfelix 6 років тому

      I'm just saying at a traffic light you're supposed to stop before the white lane, so there is no reason for the truck to run in the back of the Barina. What the barina did was illegal but they at least took consideration of the truck behind, that's all I'm saying, compare to the one at 7.12

    • @mattjohns3394
      @mattjohns3394 6 років тому +4

      No, consideration would have involved patience and courtesy. This is "have to be in front at all costs" arrogance and then continuing past the white line KNOWING what they did was wrong. Making excuses for this sort of behaviour just makes it acceptable. People die because of shit like this.

    Thanks " Drive ", reminds me of all the shit i`m not missin`! ( Retired now yiiiiiippy i o kiay! ) Did all those corners and had the same things happening. Nothing different from Wollongong to "The Castle", Rocky, Dubbo, Whyalla, The Port, Hastings back to " The Gong " all over again, with all those dickheads! Now......fishin` Port Phillip any freakin` time i want! I do miss the sound of that Big Banger of yours though, but, that`s it. Good luck digger. Pete 379.

    Many of the drivers seem to have steamed up windscreens.

    Police should be allowed to use dash cam videos to cite traffic violations.
    They can claim it wasn't them driving, hand the video over to their insurance, so their rates can be adjusted accordingly to the higher risk level. The insurance company doesn't care who is recklessly driving the vehicle they are covering.

      Video tapes are used as evidence in other crimes, why not for traffic violations?
      I'm sure insurance companies would like to appropriately adjust rates to higher risks.
      I know 80% of the safe drivers would like lower rates and higher risk drivers to pay their fair rates.

      Police do use dashcam footage from people to issue infringement notices. In Qld. if you submit the footage and it is time and date stamped along with a stat. dec. they can follow up. Quite often the offending car owner will get the ticket in the mail. If they want to say it wasn't them driving they have to say who it was.
      If they had a section of Road Policing Command/Highway Patrol with staff who only processed such evidence, all of our states would be debt free in no time!

    Driven trucks in Sydney and Perth, car drivers are complete numb nutters wherever you go, incredibly stupid, selfish and impatient, most rigid drivers aren't much better.

    4:02min. The only way people will learn not to cut in front of heavy vehicles is for them to get hit just like that. I drive the same roads you do on a daily basis as a professional driver. And I see all the same things unfortunately I can't record them. Nice video mate would be good to see more.
