    Is there a way to do the same thing with the Alesis module ? I have the surge ... thanks a lot and continue the good content. I really enjoy it ! Cheers !

      Thank you! Not individual tracks, but you can record a single midi track.

    This feature is nice but ATV dropped the ball with the atv link on the back of the module. This connection was supposed to connect to an external device that would add additional trigger INS and individual outs. Most modern DAWs allow you to create multiple midi tracks from a single midi track by dividing the tracks midi notes.

      Yeah, I wonder if they'll ever put that thing to use? I've never really seen an easy way to separate all the drums in MIDI in a DAW. Can you give me an example?

    Hi ! Why don’t you use the atv module sound ? I have an atv exs2 and want to record my drum parts. Does the exs2 sound module sound good ?

      I do use it. I like the sounds, but sound is subjective

    you can not rout just one channel for hihat though because the sound differs when it's open or closed or semiclosed...How do you do that?

    • @demonicsweaters
      @demonicsweaters  Рік тому

      Yeah it still works, the open/close is controlled by CC values

    Will this module work with Alesis nitro pads and cymbals?

    • @demonicsweaters
      @demonicsweaters  Рік тому

      the drums and cymbals should work, but you'll be missing zones. The hi hat pedal probably won't work.

    my hi hat triggering is really off, I struggle to play certain things while on real hats it is easy
    I have been using it for 6 months but I was wondering if you have changed your trigging or play style?

    • @demonicsweaters
      @demonicsweaters  Рік тому

      Do you have an ATV? I always adjust all trigger settings on all e-drums. This is just what you do when you get a new kit/module. But overall, the ATV stuff triggers better than just about any other drums I've tried. I just got a new hi hat, and had to re-adjust it, but once I did it works perfectly.

      @@noahhunter06 Start by making sure you have the correct model selected in the trigger settings for your hi hats, then adjust your sensitivity and hi hat pedal settings to your playing style.

    I have still a problem with the USB/Midi IN ! I can record midi notes to cubase, but when i play...my aD3 Modul dont receive the midi notes to hear the sounds of ATV! I tried 1000 times all combination for output canal etc....nothing is working! Can i say, if midi out is working, so midi in have to working in any case? Or is this problem a problem, because I work with win xp...I have no idee where is the problem! Thx F

      I do not believe the XD3 has a midi input. Only output as far as I know.

      @@demonicsweatersThe aD3 has a (MIdi5Pol out) AND an USB with MIdi in/out...see the manual!
      You see it behind the box. But the Midi In is not working, but i am not sure, because i have a old system. So i wonder me, that you this didnt realized...! Please check and write, if you get Midi in Dates from DAW! Thx

      @@ferdinandkreuter1026 I think you might be mixing up the AD5 and the XD3, there is no module by ATV called AD3. There's nothing in the manual about receiving midi, only sending. MIDI input may be allowed to be send to the module, but it doesn't specify that it will do anything with it. Most people will only be using MIDI out to control a VST. Maybe there is some hidden feature for midi in, but I've never tried it. Make sure you're sending MIDI data on channel 10. If it will accept MIDI input, it is most likely on this channel.

      @@demonicsweaters ^Sorry, of corse it mean the xD3. But i read in manual, there is the USB Midi for IN and OUT! The 5-Pol Midi is only for OUT. Nowbody can tell me, for what the midi IN is! I am sure, this is written in the manual! So i thougt this is for this case! Anyway...it was for me interessting, because i wanted to test ist...but not work! Greetings Ferdi

      @@ferdinandkreuter1026 maybe the midi input only accepts program changes or something. Send ATV an email, they're pretty good at getting back to you. That's how I got all the MIDI specifics about the outputs originally.
