And Cersei's death was poetic, as she stood where Tywin and Robert's band buried the Targaryen legacy with the dragon skulls then took housing on the very building Targaryen's built. This is the best directed episode of all time in a tv show, Direction and Special effects is way above the pay grade, out of the world !
Sure bud
The very end of the episode, where Arya becomes the Pale Rider of the Apocalypse. She's got a new queen on her list of names!
She has only one name on the list now
I agree 💯. That scene was so powerful that I moved me to tears and I never cry
I blame Starbucks for Danny going mad......LOL
Sansa- You stand in trial of treason and murder...how do you answer that...(looks away from Daenerys)
Lord Starbucks
As a book reader honestly I'm not really that surprised that danny turns into the mad queen..it was always her advisors that kept her at bay. Luv your reaction hope to see other tv series reactions in future;)
I'm not a book reader and I'm not surprised at all; like a lot of other people, surely. We have all thought about the definitive fall of Daenerys, but we never thought (at least not in my case) that the creators of GoT would dare to do so, and moreover, in such a brutal way.
You have no idea what you can do when you have power above all....
basically if you want to know why danny did this think of it like this she believes all her advisors betrayed her even the man she loves betrayed her in her eyes and she just lost her son and best friend and then her advisor tells her when she hears bell they surrendered yet how can you trust what he says after everything he’s done in the end another way to see this is watch the people cheering ned’s beheading then watch this
Dany`s advisors died like flies, also losing her 2nd dragon did not help at all. Betrayal all over the place, realizing your love has a better claim to the iron throne. Realizing the people of Westeros like Jon more than Dany. It all sums up, that not even the bells of surrender could stop her.
Testrun strike this is why this wasn’t out of character for her she was just having a lot of bad days when she was used to praise here in westeros she’s hated
At first she was the breaker of chains because she empathized with them, having been almost a slave herself. But once she became Khaleesi and progressed, she freed people for their love and adolation. In Mereen, when she didn't receive that, she was confused and distraught, and eventually dumped it into Daario's hands. She doesn't LOVE people, she LOVES being loved and being held up. It's not about how they feel, it's how they make HER feel. That's where she got it wrong. And once she felt alone and unloved in Westeros, she lost all the love for them. The Unsullied and Dothraki are still her people, only because they follow her unquestioning.
The Clegane bowl was best part of this entire episode tbh
It felt like a let down, been waiting for it for half a decade, and it was a huge let down.
Sagar Nagaraj This whole season was a let down. Just gotta take what you can get at this point.
Sadly.
Not clegane but the part with Jamie was the best part of this episode!!
The part with Jaime was among the worst (the Tyrion/Jaime scene was heartwarming but after that, nah).... The redemption arc, watching him develop as a character, only to watch him just go down like that? And wtf is Euron doing showing up at the secret entrance at the exact moment Jaime got there? After getting blasted off a ship he ENDED UP THERE?! "Ai fucced za kween" dumbass fight.😂
I hope Drogon wont burn John even if Dany gives her command...that would be cool
Fire cannot kill Targaryens........so drogon fire can't kill Jon
@@Salonikhandelwal17 You need to rewatch the early seasons when Jon saves Mormont when a undead attack him in castle black he slams a lantern on it and burns his hand, so not a dragon like Dany's brother...

It was fear that broke her!! (A post from Reddit)
The Mad Queen descent was rushed, but I've seen a lot of people all over the Internet make fun of the bells and at Daenerys' mind breaking at the point of surrender but it made sense and was set up earlier in the episode.
Season 1 to 7 showed up a Daenerys that rose from the very lowest of lows to the height of power. In Season 1 and 2, we see Daenerys realize that without power, no one will respect her or take her claim seriously. She’s told repeatedly that she’s nothing without an army, and she’s nothing without ships. She gains those. We cheer for her.
When Daenerys leaves Essos, she thinks she can rule through compassion and be loved by the people once she gets rid of Cersei. She had her armies. She had dragons. She had powerful allies in Westeros. She had the strongest claim to the throne and finally had the chance to take King’s Landing.
Season 7 and Season 8 was about losing that power. First, her powerful allies are stripped away one by one. Olenna, Elliria, Yara. Tyrion mismanages them as Hand of the Queen and makes horrible tactical mistakes.
In S08E01, Daenerys realizes she doesn’t have the love of the people. In Essos, she broke their chains and earned their devotion and became their Mysha. She freed them from their oppressive masters and they were grateful to her and made her their queen. In the North, Sansa and Jon had already broken their chains. They defeated Ramsay. Sansa and Jon, as Starks, have earned their loyalty for a lifetime. Daenerys is faced with a smallfolk - her subjects - that don’t love her. It’s a harsh realization for her.
In S08E02, she loses her claim. Jon tells her his true identity, and suddenly she’s not the only Targaryen in the world. Even moreso, Jon’s claim is stronger. He’s a natural leader. She’s immediately threatened by his confession, and is shaken by it.
In S08E03, she loses Jorah. He was there for her since the beginning. He was devoted to her not because of her power, not because of her dragons, but because he loved her. He never would’ve betrayed her and she trusted him fully. He’s essentially been her rock through all her hardship. And then he dies protecting her.
In S08E04, she loses her second child, and Missandei. One by one, everyone she held close that was devoted to her and her alone was taken from her. Her dragons were a symbol of her power; with only one left, she was beginning to get desperate. Her only advisor from Essos was Grey Worm, and he was a soldier.
In S08E05, she loses Varys, Tyrion, and Jon. Through betrayal, no less. Jon betrays her by telling Sansa, and Sansa tells Tyrion, who tells Varys. Varys openly conspires against her and (presumably) tries to poison her and turn Jon against her. She kills him without a trial, without asking for his last words, and without a second thought. At that point, she’s on the brink.
And Jon goes to her, and she seeks one last bit of comfort from him. She tells him that people love him, and that’s something she’ll never have.
”Far more people in Westeros love you than love me. I don’t have love here. I only have fear.”
He counters by saying that he loves her, and that she’ll always be his queen. But when they kiss, Daenerys realizes that he’ll never truly love her again. And so, she says: "Alright then. Let it be fear"
When the bells ring, Daenerys realizes that while the city has surrendered she’ll never be secure as queen as long as the people don’t truly, irrevocably fear her. She will never be loved by them. She has lost everything she has gained and every friend she’s made, and she’s completely alone. King’s Landing becomes a symbol of everything she’s ever been through - her brother selling her like a brood mare, Drogo's death, being ridiculed and laughed at from Pentos to Slaver's Bay to Mereen, being threatened at every turn, losing her dragons, losing her loved ones. She’s on her dragon, she’s alone, she feels powerless, and she’s angry.
So what does she do when feels powerless? She reminds them all that she is still powerful. The people will never love her, so they will fear her.
mithun madanchandran beautifully written
Best explanation yet. If only you were a writer on the show.
God I wish I’d written this!
So how is destroying KL improving that situation?
@@hijack69 Well it invokes fear among the rest of Kingdoms...Dany clearly stated that she has found no love in westeroes and she is only seen as a danger and a threat even after all the decisions and bloody sacrifices she had to make for them....Jon hesitating to show her Love was the final nail in the coffin...and when she stood there on the roof top upon her Dragon....Liberating the small folks of King's landing from Cersei also being the crux of it..who uses people has hostages as a Military Strength...All she could hear was Scream all across the Streets, Screams of Fear and Panic, begging Cersie to Ring the Bells...this is when she realises that she can never garner Love from them ...and she chooses the path of Fear with Fire and Blood...Making a statement to the rest of the realm. Now they know that she has the power to waste their Cities to dust within a day...As quoted by Robert Baratheon, the most realistic and intelligent Charecter when it came to War Strategies : "Do you think it's Honour that's keeping the peace? It's fear Ned, fear and blood!"
An example of Fear overpowering Honour in the world of Westeroes is The Northerners resisting to help Jon and Sansa when they call their banners to help retake Winterfell against Ramsey Bolton. They Refused the Call!
Jaby- How much fire do the dragon has
🤣🤣🤣
A targareyn alone in the world..it's a terrible thing - Master Aemon Targaryen..
The deaths of her 2 dragons, Jorah and Missandei alongside with the sense of insecurity from Jon's, Tyrion's and Varys' end pushed her to the edge, which she took out on the Red Keep. Interestingly, her makeup in the scene with Tyrion almost resembles to that of the Mad King in the "Burn'em all" scene.
Cleganebowl ended up with the Hound taking the Mountain to the fire this time.
Any views on Who's next??

@Indie and Osbscure this is promising not Bran as a king lmao who did nothing in this series . What will happen with drogon??
Love your reaction and thoughts afterwards guys.
Plus, Missandei was just a small part of a much more accumulative build. At this point in the story Dany is in the city that was ruled by her family until they were destroyed by Twyin's sack of the city, she's lost Jorah, Olenna, Ellaria, and Barristan, she doesn't trust Tyrion, Varys betrayed her, she feels Jon is betraying her, she lost 2 of her dragons for a country that doesn't appreciate her, all the people are celebrating Jon and not her, her Dothraki and Unsullied were decimated in the Battle of Winterfell, and she's completely rejected as a lover by Jon Snow. What does she have left? Grey Worm and Yara on the Iron Islands? She rages against a country that she feels owes her everything and has given her nothing.
Rhaegal got shot, flying through the air, from a mile out, behind a mountain, by a ship on open ocean 3 for 3 times. Drogon's broadside was missed by an entire fleet, at almost a stand still from 300 feet away.
Fav episode so far!
This should be a regular thing.
I just don't care what happens in the end. One fact that I don't think anyone can dispute, is that this season is amazing to watch. Effects, cinematography, soundtrack, acting, all done to perfection. It feels like no holds barred, go crazy, sucker punch me, horrify me, hell yes I'm entertained! I'll let the armchair critics have at it by themselves. It seems to make them happy. (not directed at this reaction video- y'all weren't being critical, you just seemed in shock. So was I. )
You can do anything when you have power above all....
Thanks for the help Bran.....
Dany turning mad is always hinted and as her house of undying dream came true now and also GRRM said both ending will be same only secondry character will be different in book 😒
Tyrion the tallest Lannister
Dany's last emotional support was John so his rejection was when she felt she could never be loved, especially the way the people love him. If she can't hold power by the people's love, then she would have to rule through fear.
Great review guys!
Danny should have stayed in the house with red door and lemon tree😅😅
From start of season 1 1st episode tyrion and john snow have been my favorite characters and i always knew that there is some negativity in Danny's character..
The thing about madness is no one can understand the why of their actions except the person going mad. I've seen a lot of people saying they can't understand why Dany would do what she did but that's an impossible thing to grasp even in the real world. You can point to the things that have happened to her and they probably had some cause but ultimately it's exactly what is portrayed. Madness. Great review/discussion at the end guys. One of the better ones I've seen.
I loved the episode!
Hello there
Big fan from India🤗✌️
Hey Jaby ! I have been a subscriber since you started doing Bollywood reactions!! Would love to meet you one day!
I actually thought Achara's going to cry at the end. she looks cute about to cry
Dany is the new villain!! She is in full on Mad Queen mode. She has been showing signs of her Psycho side right from the beginning
UMM when you are powerful but alone you feel fear, and that's fear got her.she can't trust anyone around her,jon snow turned his back on her, arya sansa doesn't like her,,everybody betraying her,and the person who loved her died in front of her, that's got her.
Yup this side of her was always there. People haven't been paying attention if they haven't seen that. This "Everyone has betrayed her 😭" crap is nonsense. They don't trust her for good reason and quite frankly trusted her way to much as should be apparent st this point. She a psychopath just like her father was.
John snow hanged a kid and Ned Stark chopped off a mans head in the first episode. I guess they’re tyrants too
@@Peopleeat97 are you really comparing a punishment by law with just burning thousands of innocent people without any reason..??? Lol
@@Peopleeat97 Those are hardly equitable.
yeah I also cried that Tyrion and Jaime scene was very sad the brothers will never see each other again
When you isolate a person with Great power, that what made the queen mad
Actually when you have shitty writers and you try to rush a plot line in two episodes
If you think this has happy ending you are not paying attention my friend 😂
achara scared me when she shouted 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 lmao
gotta admit this was the perfect episode
I just realised, this episode looked a lot like a Clash of Clans battle.
Why is it that everyone is so surprised that Daenerys was going to burn the city street by street? She's the daughter of the Mad fooking King? You really expected her to be merciful to the people who fear her? Those peasants were nothing like the slaves in Essos, where you can just kill their leaders and be treated like some destined savior. She's nothing but another tyrant to them. This isn't out of character for her, this is just her showing her true face.
I think you are watching different show.. Throughout whole show they are showing Danny is kind hearted.. Oly ther was a slight hint Tat she is capable of mad queen.. But Wt made her snap in this particular episode though.. Y kill everyone after evryone surrender.. y can't she kill from the start? Instead of decimating red keep first.. y killing ppl first.. I say its poor writing.. With no logic.. No one surprised abt she being mad queen. But not showing wt snapped her is just lazy writing..
It's the way they did it. Sloppy and hurried writing. D & D really dropped the ballpoint pen.
Rhaegar was also the Mad King's son, but he was very kind.
Well, we always knew she would follow her fathers footsteps, but the Mad king had a series of events that made him insecure and that lead to him becoming mad. Daenerys was all good until now, the mad queen arc is too rushed, which is also justified since they have like a really short season
Arya covered by human ashes remind me of Tom Cruise in War of the worlds.
Arya definitely has a strong moral code; she is certainly Ned Stark's daughter. She shunned her assassin training because she realized she couldn't kill people without a good reason. I think a lot of this episode and the battle of winterfell episode was for her to come full circle and realize what death and destruction truly is and for her to find out that she no longer wants to be consumed by it.
And I think the reason we don't see Dany's face after she starts the attack is to give viewers the sense of what it would be like to be on the receiving end of a bombing; the person doing it is faceless to you, just as you are to them from so high up. It's a dehumanizing experience.
btw, just found your guys' UA-cam channel finally randomly looking at Game of Thrones videos! See you at dinner again sometime!
Oh this episode was.......something
I feel so bad for the Lannisters for the first time ever. This is the moment i have been waiting for but i dont feel good at all especially after The bell rings...and daenerys still slaughter them all. Jaime and tyrion scene moved me to tears...😢

Hehe boi! 😆😆
People blaming Dany. Everyone is forgetting it was Cersei who put all the civilians inside the castle as shield.
This comment is dumb
Why does she have to destroy the whole city to get to redkeep she is riding a fcking dragon!!!
Believe it or not Robert Baratheon's reign was the most peaceful. Audiences consider him fool but he gets the job done. Kingdom enjoyed the visions of Tywin and Varys but most importantly brothel of little finger.
Jon making out with Dany could've saved Kings Landing.
Yeah, Jon should've taken one for the team and slept with his aunt. Lol.
13:15 HOLD THE DOOR PLEASE
Dany played well. She caught vareys and she used Tyrion and had a secret plan with Grey worm. Did she always wanted to. She was talking to Jon you have love in westeros I have fear. So, she did what the Targaryens did. She thinks fear will be the one could takeover the westeros.
this dragon has gone to far and to dangerous... monster hunters assemble
Dany "all of a sudden" deciding to burn everyone. Throughout her story arch, her first reaction to challenges to her authority was always to either kill them all or burn them. She had always been restrained by her advisors. However, this time she felt betrayed by her advisors and was not listening to them any longer.
she always did a piss poor job at anything. Threatening to burn Qarth when they denied entry, killing and pinning rich in posts regardless of who they are and what they did(or not did), killing accused without trail against Ser Barristan's request, the list goes on. She started showing such tendencies all the way from 1st season, when she tried to manipulate Drogo to march for the Throne for her( and he agreed along with pilaging and raping, to which she had no aversion it seemed). I have always considered her the secret antagonist. Donno why people are surprised
22:55 taking out the castle would have done a chain reaction for all the wildfire stashes. The people were going to die anyway. Danny didn't want to give Cersie the pleasure of knowing that she won by taking down the city with her. It was Cersie's mo to destroy King's landing if she came to harm, like a Captain going down with the ship. Cersie made sure there won't be a city to rule if SHE couldn't rule it herself.
What if the show ends with jon discovering that particular sign of the white walkers...
Just imagine....Jon see that sign and the show ends!!!!
You guys looking away at Clegane fight was funny...... lol
Bran will ascend the throne!!!! Tyrion foreshadowed the same while talking to bran about his wheelchair( bran says he is not interested anymore to which Tyrion replies that’s a good quality for a ruler) and again foreshadowed by Varys (have u considered someone who doesn’t want to rule might be the best ruler) while considering a suitable replacement for Dany.
This is the fourth time I'm watching this episode. 1st time, the whole episode, after that through reaction videos. And each time I cried like hell during the whole episode. This is the second time I cried like this after the red wedding. I never really liked Dany. Don't know why but I thought that after the Khal Drogo's death, she actually changed so much. Her only and only goal is to rule, no matter the cost. And she did what she was told to like Lady Olenna told her to be dragon (though not like this kind of) and when Missandei shouted, "Dracarys".
Aaron Rodgers was in there too
Am I the only one who got reminded of saving private Ryan from the street view of the intense war scenes
If you ever feel useless..... just remember the Golden Company 😊
Oh come on... tyrion is an amazing person. CAn't imagine GOT without him... he is always moral and clever. surviving all the placing with his word power or knowldege. He was never wrong in the entire time.
Can you do a reaction video to the Game of Thrones - Histories and Lore: The Dance of Dragons? Every season the actors narrate the history of GOT. This story should explain a great deal about this season.
How did everybody , including me, miss Vaarys trying to poison Danaerys through Martha?!

So proud of D&D, burn them all!!
One thing I Dnt get it at the end, how come everyone around died except Arya n the Pony? 😕
Director missed the Shakespeare kinda tragic death for Cersei and jermie. Poetic death.
Moral of the story when we have limited identity we always wants to protect that identity....for cersei her identity is limited to herself and her family.....so being a leader she can't think of the well being of her people....Therefore a leader must have larger identity.....like John snow....I think he deserve to be the king of seven kingdom....
