He seems extremely productive, like damn, I’d be blasting the cart with a pressure washer as my “makeover” n call it a day😂. Maybe I’m just damn lazy lol
You may get 120kw per year out of a roof that size and it'll take around 10kw to charge the cart. So yeah, you'd get somewhere around 12 free charging per year. Biggest advantage would probably be charging any time it's outside, even if it doesn't fully charge you'd still be gaining a little in the battery reserves.
@@televisionhighlights8730 Solar in Florida has more than a 10 year payback period. They pay 11 cents per kilowatt so a solar panel on the roof save about $13/year off the electric bill. A $260 system would take 20 years to pay for itself.
I actually like getting a mix of longer and short segments. This golf cart remake was straightforward enough that it was perfect for doing a one-shot segment. Beautifully done, congratulations!
Badass. I just bought a 98 club car ds for my special needs child. Golf cart rides are his favorite thing in the world and we use it every day. Need to upgrade a few things but very clean. Bought it off an elderly couple where it was driven on pavement and professionally serviced every three months. Slowly researching/learning.
You are my favorite DIY, home crafter, Rebuilder guy. Love that you do it with what you have. And not like most creators on youtube with huge selection of expensive tools. The quality you get out if it aswell really shows you dont need expensive tools to make something look good.
Nice easy build!! I like the colour especially well. I have a truck painted that colour and the paint I have is called Metallic Tangerine Pearl. It’s what the body shop called it anyways,,,,, hahaha. The new seats will be great, maybe you already did them,, I will look after this. The other wheels you picked were very nice as well. Look great if you don’t want to change the suspension height. These are some of my favourite projects and there are several kits and several brands of carts that have been done. Quick, easy, and, if you chose, very profitable as a flip. Take care, Eh!
You can use a propane torch to heat up that faded plastic and bring the original color back. Clean it pretty good then heat it evenly like you are painting and it will come out great.
Looks good, love the home mixed orange. I can't let my wife watch this video, she's been buggin me about buying a golf cart. She says that's what Florida folks are supposed to do.. lol Just what Patrick said, The Villages would start an Auction for that one.
I'd be thrilled if my old club car looked as good as yours! Sure wish I had your talent. This is actually my favorite color for a cart. You did one heck of a job.
Awesome golf cart. All I kept thinking is that if the guys from the Discovery Channel show Diesel Brothers were building a golf cart, it would look nearly identical to this one. Great project!
I did almost the exact same make over to my Club car, black roof paint and all. The rear seat was a pain like you said. Your modified bars look good. The "candy cane" bars that are an exact fit for the roof are extra money of course. Nice work.
I bought a cheap cart in March and hope to upgrade mine by March of this year. Would love to do a zombie green color with zombie vinyl. Thanks for all the tips!
Awesome video, I would not mind seeing more like speakers and brakes and some more touch ups to the golf cart. Its amazing watching you put these things together. Awesome video!
What a great job! Moving to a golfing community and researching golf carts. Stumbled upon your channel and enjoyed watching the rebuild. I would struggle with the stripping process😂!
How about a parts list for what you used? Especially for the unglow lights. Really wanting to add some to cart. Thanks. Looks awesome the way it turned out.
Love that paint color you mixed up. As for the main frame of the cart, I think my OCD would have kicked on and I would have pressure washed the heck out of the under-body then probably sprayed a bunch of it black while it was all opened up. ESPECIALLY those rear springs.
For cleaning, I recommend you get a steam machine.. it kills mold, and remove though stains from different materials without damaging them. I have seen they use it in many car detailing videos and works wonders..
I swear, I don't know where you learned everything you know at such a young age but it is inspiring to see what you do. I can promise you one thing, you will never have trouble finding a job. You are like a skilled old man in a young man's body. You remind me of one of those old guys that can fix anything but with more skill. Keep up the great vids.....you almost have me believing I can redo an old pontoon...or a Wave-runner.......or my golf cart......I own a business that requires skilled laborers and technicians and young kids that want to work with their hands are getting tougher and tougher to find....Edited to add...you can polish that aluminum trim and window frame to the point they almost look chrome...would look great against that color and to match the polished portion of the wheels...
UA-cam, free online courses and probably mostly just f*cking around with stuff at home. If you have enough money to learn as you go and kinda not really care about destroying a part you can learn pretty quick.
A dome light would be cool. Also a black push bar on the front would look great. The stock black plastics on the side sill and that bucket in the back, you could use Mother's Back to Black to bring them back to life.👌
Your golf cart looks very good, great job. A suggestion on speakers for your golf cart stereo system is DB Drive Marine Speakers. Thats what I used on my wife's cart that I rebuilt for her last Christmas and they sound really good, crisp, clear even at high volumes, their water proof and reasonably priced. I used the 6" round ones but they have 8" ones too. I don't know what other ones they have now but you might want want to check them out, I highly recommend them !
There are 48 hours in this guy's day, I swear.

@@Samcrac hey samrac
I love the shot flexing the cart like a jeep. Good job.
I like how you do your videos, where it's not one video dedicated to tearing down, one video for sanding etc. Nice to see a lot of work in one video!
Put a hitch on it and pull you’re jet ski with it
I'm pretty sure he sold the jetski already dude. He could pull the beachcart though!

John Deere tires, but looks awesome😄

You should put solar panels on the top to help with battery recharging and increase distance
I was thinking the same thing!
Flexible solar panels will be nice 😁

Biggest advantage would probably be charging any time it's outside, even if it doesn't fully charge you'd still be gaining a little in the battery reserves.
Even if the cost of it only balanced the savings in power etc, you’d have a good selling point for resale!

Sorry my OCD is kicking in, can you straighten the steering wheel?
On my list
When was the last time you saw a CC with a centered steering wheel??

Hello Zach,
a super video and a great rebuild, maybe a roof chop by 100 -150mm, then it is perfect .
Greetings from Germany
*Outstanding job. Everything looks great.*
It looks good, I really enjoy the trash to treasure projects from marketplace and CL so if you can find more of those.
Good job. I need to get myself a golf cart. And do a project too

That burnt orange is the same color as my 73 challenger. Nice job on the cart bud.
Beautiful color.
I used that rear seat kit once and only once. Look a little outside of amazon and you can find way better for close to the same price.
You sir are up there with the greats like VICE GRIP GARAGE your abilities are enviable...........👍🇦🇺
That fabulous color is very similar to late-1960s Ford's EmberGlow.

Sweet golf cart!! Nice job!! Great video!
that golf karts awesome bro some speakers might be cool and the faded plastic could do with a touch up on the bumper and the rear
The golf carts looks amazing! Looks a lot like the golf cart I got from SWFL Golf carts last month, love driving it in my town!
Looks very good.

Its electric
