Is pointing the finger really virtuous though? I can only speak for myself, but in my 40+ years of existence when someone points their finger at me my ears shut off and I get defensive. However when people calmly and slowly present me with reasons to look at my actions or thoughts in a way that comes off as caring I have been motivated to think critically about myself. As I age it seems like what some would call weak is exactly what pushes me to change for the better and aggressive finger pointing makes me not want to even be in someone else's presence and definitely not want to listen to what they have to say. I don't personally know anyone who is or was a propagandhi fan because they didn't already think the same as them when they first heard them and then were sold by the finger pointing. Maybe they're out there, but my experience was definitely that the young anger in the music just spoke to other young angry people and wasn't some catalyst for change.
