this is miles better than the unity tutorial, thx a lot good sir. The settings are sooo all over the place figuring this out by ourselves is such a drag.
This was incredibly helpful. The transition from URP to HDRP felt somewhat scattered and this helped walk me through the essential information. Thank you so much.
@@BinaryImpact Mainly it was setting a scene up from scratch which this covered very well. Since you asked though ide love to see what you would do different for a more stylized scene.

@@BinaryImpact I did and it was awesome. I've been using Unreal but C# is so much easier I keep looking at Unity. Doing this tutorial made me go wow I can get some really good looking stuff out of Unity. The tutorial was great by the way.
We have one in production about weather and lighting in HDRP. But we are not the big YT creators and these tutorials are a lot of work on top of our normal workload so it is ready when it is ready :D
The setup is now a few years old. Their might be more efficient ways available now. We are planning to remake the video with the current available options in the future. That being said it is still a good starting point.
Hi. Thanks for the great tutorial. I have a question, when I increase the lux of the direction light to 10000, the scene is so bright that I can't see anything. why is this?
Lux is the unit of illuminance in the International System of Units. It is defined in terms of lumen s per meter squared (lm/m 2 ). So what is exactly 1 lux? A measurement of 1 lux is equal to the illumination of a one metre square surface that is one metre away from a single candle. Sunlight provides between many thousand of lux to only a few hundred depending on the weather conditions & time of day. The lux of artificial indoor lighting, however, is typically 1000 lux or below. Basically your 10000 means your put 10000 candles one metre away from your surface or you look directly in the sun! I hope this helps :)
Sup brother. Can you please tell me if there's anyway to get rid of that orange-color tint to all the objects while you're lights are off? It's very difficult to design a level with a strange color shade like that.
Hello everyone! I`m new to Unity and was doing this tutorial until noticed point light and spot light are not working at all.. Anyone had same issue? directional light work fine but I cannot add other light sources for some reason D:
Most of the values are accessible via scripting. If you need a general introduction maybe our tutorial about level trigger can help you: ua-cam.com/video/6gQiCXu0Gnc/v-deo.html

Huh ?!? Could you send us a screenshot?
I'm not sure if I understand the fixed exposure value in the exposure override. Why does the scene get darker when you crank it up?
Think of of it as the iris of a camera if you crank it up it will get darker.
