So a 12 year old with a dad in jail, a mom who she feels abandoned her, loss everything in a fire, was relocated to a new place, with a grandmother who seems annoyed she has to care for her and thinks she's a liar and troublemaker, is involved with an older boy who is buying her expensive gifts and is acting up. And her grandma's solution is to fight her, drag her down the stairs and put her out of the house. And y'all in the comments condoning this because "some kids are out of control"? Her granma is OUT OF CONTROL and that child is broken and traumatized.
recommend parenting and anger management regardless for Gma if granddaughter returned. supervised visits. Granddaughter needs therapy too. Hope they both can rebuild a better healthy relationship.
I agree. My mom used to jump on my daughter talk to her bad. I left money to take care of my two daughters. Till this day my mother is low down and treats me very poorly have been since i was 2 years old
What got me confused is how she’s too young for a boyfriend but old enough to get squared up on and punched in the face by the supposed guardian/grandmother I lost brain cells watching her tell the cops all these extra details to try and excuse her reasoning for literally giving her own grandchild a black eye..
Bring back discipline (aka spanking) into our schools. Parents don’t want to discipline their kids anymore these days, which explains why our kids and young adults have no self control. They care more about themselves than their kids.

I've raised my grandson since he was 12 with no help from his mother (drugs and mental illness) or his father (prison). I told him from the beginning we would not raise our voices to each other and would solve our problems respecfully. We've been able to solve any issues that come up without screaming, yelling, hitting, or calling names. We've become very close over the years. He's graduating high school this year.

She cried when she saw the granddaughter’s eye not because she felt bad for hurting her but because she knew she was in trouble. “I tried to give her a better life and look what it did to me.” Poor you for cruelly abusing a already disturbed 12 yr old.

@hismiths6649 - “co-sign” Has a completely different meaning than what You believe it does. You should educate yourself, since You apparently didn’t learn, or listen well in school. 1. The granddaughter needed counseling more than discipline. Her father is incarcerated, her mother gave her up, and she in a new state every other year. She’s acting out because she wants to feel loved and cared for and safe.
And, there's some guy buying a 12 year old Uggs. I don't know what caused that to get so physical, but grandma has reasons to be concerned. There was a case a few months ago where a 12 year old and two 14 year old girls beat an elderly man with Lupus to death on the street.

@jojomakes.............YES!!!!!! She was very long winded when asked a question, instead of a simple answer. When people do that, it's usually because they are lying. I pretty much didn't believe anything the woman said...........SMH
She probably left that out not wanting to get her in trouble with the Law. I have done that with My child and I know plenty of parents who have done that. No matter what we go through with our children. We still want to protect them if we can.
Did you not hear her say I have asked for help. Fault her parents for being selfish and irresponsible. They should be raising her. I don’t agree with how she handled it at all. But this child is ungrateful, if she ends up in New York what do you think her life will be like with her mother.
And she wasn’t even safe in her closet, grandma tormented her on that too. Even in her victimized telling of the story, grandbaby still sounds completely innocent. This woman is a monster.

Remember that one of the parents was raised by this grandmother. They are likely not much better because they learned to parent from her. Blame the grandmother for being abusive, whether or not the child lives with the parents or not doesn't matter. If the grandmother didn't want her to be there, she should have told her child that the granddaughter couldn't live there instead of being abusive to the granddaughter.

That's one hell of a Speech and though I agree to an extent, THIS SITUATION is Obviously different. Grandma had her a couple years so she didn't create boundaries and Respect. Grandma ain't Mom and when a teen is disrespectful and possibly trying to fight you or breaking your stuff you gotta handle that. I agree squaring up and punching her in the eye is beyond excessive But this teen is obviously a big and troubled girl that parents can't or won't raise. Apparently you've never had your patience tested by an abusive troubled family member before or you wouldn't be so quick to judge and pretend there's no gray area in life. I'm far from abusive but I can be strict and I realize how bad teens are nowadays where school shootings in the news is common and drill Rap in the hip hop Community is toxic to the kids hearing it. Where you get Respect "for living the life" you talking about! Fortunately I've never been in her shoes and I can control myself better. But if a teen did think it's ok to hit me there would be no second time.
it's a reason why they have jail's and detention center's etc for minor's ok not all minor's all innocent they jump out there like there grown they can get treated like there grown they go to school treating the teacher's the same way but the teachers get in trouble the mom sent her to her grandma's house because she couldn't handle what the mom created so she sent her off this kids need to be checked in more ways then 1

In my opinion, she came across as a gaslighting, word salad, narcissist. She put too much of a show on but skirted around/missed out the punch to the eye part. So this little girl has an unstable grandmother, dad in prison, mom is around but not taking care of her daughter, and this grandmother thinks hitting her granddaughter for simply not following her rules? @CatFluff-pm6qr you're really fucking weird for thinking that a 12 year old isn't a little girl.

Poor kid? Yea just sit there and let the child whoop your ass. After you’ve begged for help. Been to the school multiple times. Grand ma was wrong because you can deal with a child with using objects to discipline them. So no…it’s not poor kid. Now when she goes to foster she’ll realize that maybe she shouldn’t be disrespectful to teachers or adults or grandma.
In my opinion, she came across as a gaslighting, word salad, narcissist. She put too much of a show on but skirted around/missed out the punch to the eye part. She already knew that she was going to be charged for punching a 12 year old child before she got to the office, as per her discussion with her boyfriend, but thought to herself she could play it out.
I'm not saying that the child wasn't disobedient and trying to push those boundaries, but her as an adult should know not to resort to physical violence, especially with a child.
How did she get her swollen eye she was asked. Stated talking about sleeping in the closet. She knew what she did and thought she could go home and forget about it. Awful
