Very useful videos. Congratulations. Sorry for my writing English. I try to split stereo tracks , but the result is only one mono track. No two. Are there any other opction to have checked? Thanks Mike.
I've actually used the template for the drums but keep forgetting to use it!! Thanks for the reminder. Love this channel BTW every time I get stuck on something I just research it here. Thank you!
When bouncing to track, notice the check boxes for things like "Track FX" and "Bus FX" and automations, if these are checked they will be baked into the bounced tracks (which you may or may not want).
Mike, thanks for all the great videos. I have a problem that I can't resolve. When I play the song, music plays, but the now time doesn't move and the time clock doesn't change. Do you have any ideas for what to check?
I use to do something a bit different do create a new channel with the same settings: I just duplicate de channel (right button clicking on the track) and is goes with everything the original one has. Even with the recording, if, for example, I want to create a different voice from the same recording. The compressor trick is great! I have to try it to learn and never forget. Thanks Regards from Rio
Hi Mike, thanks a lot. I already knew most of these tricks, except the Stereo to Mono split, which is going to be useful for me, and the special side chaining trick. Wow, this software is always full of little things!
Mike, After a lot of years I am trying to learn cakewalk midi. At 2:06 you have the SI-Drums in a midi track. When I create a midi track and try to put in the SI-Drums I get the 🚫 symbol. Do you have a vid on how you did what you did. Also in other vids you have a guitar icon where the midi icon usually is. Could you explain or point me to a video on how to do that? Thank you.
Didn't know that the FXs in the track view control can be scrolled if out of view.. haha.. simple.. And never tried the track templates.. always made my templates project-wide.. this is really a time saver
Hi Mike, great tips as always. I did not know some of these but a few weeks ago, like you, discovered Track Templates and have been using them since. Thank you for all the tips and advice that you create for Cakewalk users like me.
Thank you Mike always good informations and well explained. I am a member of your Facebook group but I don’t know how to ask a question for the group would it be possible to explain it to me? Thank you !
Thanks Mike - it seems to me unbelievable that there's anything left in Cakewalk that you don't know 😁I wish I could say the same... Btw some time ago I watched you doing some MIDI editing of a bass guitar in Cakewalk, where you were programming slides - I just can't seem to find that video, please will you remind me which one it is?
Wow! I feel a noob hardly knowing any of cakewalk secrets! 😅 Still im waiting for an answer to know if I can convert audio to midi since my melodyne's expired and doesn't let me do that anymore.. 😪
My favorite of Pro-Q3 is choosing mid, side, left, right or stereo for the frequency. If you do a low pass on your final mix up to about 110-120 hz with the low pass only for the side not stereo, it brings so much clarity to the drums and bass.
Do we really need to double tap to place a note. One click should suffice . Be nice to highlight midi notes and drag to copy in the piano roll and please do something about the drum sequencer. We should be able to drag and drop and/or cycle through drum samples from the sequencer when making drums for our tracks w/o routing to a 3rd party drum sampler. Hopefully they make these changes for ease of workflow. Also if I insert a note it doesn't mean I want the play marker to start from here. This shit is annoying and slowing down my workflow and creativity.
Please continue with the cakewalk tips Mike, two years later and they have more import than they did then!
Cakewalk rocks. Still can't believe it's free.
Seriously. To think all the money I’ve spent on it over the past 20 years 😂
My inner glow… it’s nice.
Lovely stuff Michael,,, with your Buttery smooth voice too 😉. Love your Vidz
There was 2 things i would use from this tips. Thanx...😄

Thanks Karry :)
Track templates are a life saver for multi out instruments like Addictive Drums or Kontakt.
The first one (resizing) was new to me. Cheers!
Its probably been like that for years, and we didn't notice :P
Cheers Mike - I love the Track template tip, nice having somewhere to start without having to think too much!
Thanks for the tips, Mike. I knew about the track templates, but the rest are all new to me. Thanks for sharing

How do I integrate modx and cakewalk by bandlab for 16 track midi and audio recording?
Hi Mike, thanks a lot. I already knew most of these tricks, except the Stereo to Mono split, which is going to be useful for me, and the special side chaining trick. Wow, this software is always full of little things!
Hi!

How did you save the custom template for multiple tracks to have the correct inputs and outputs
Didn't know that the FXs in the track view control can be scrolled if out of view.. haha.. simple.. And never tried the track templates.. always made my templates project-wide.. this is really a time saver

Glad it was helpful Ray. Thank you for watching :)
How do i set up Add2 with separat tracks, MIke? I always end up using one stereochanel for drums, but you have managed to separat.
Kind regards Jan
highlight the out on each track of Add 2 , open a new audio track in CW and route the relevant kick piece to the track
Thank you Mike always good informations and well explained. I am a member of your Facebook group but I don’t know how to ask a question for the group would it be possible to explain it to me? Thank you !

i am gonna use that track template right now also you can sidechain waves F6 the same as Fab filter
Didn't know any of them and I've just bought Pro-Q3 so I'm inspired to try that pumping trick, possibly as a vibrato on vocals?
Certainly could get a vibrato like effect - would be interesting

Templates?! wow. I can save a variety of setups and instantly try different ones for each project. Thanks.
How do you add the icons?
World Class! I think you got me with all of them haha...I have just sent you an email!
I knew all of these. Honest... 😉
I believe you - Honest :)
I knew the the first you showed us Mike but sorry I was shy to tell you hahaahha so sorry.

Does anyone actually use this DAW? Probably the worst DAW on the market, IMO!
