    I love coming back to this one, The Dream Act on Fool Us is where I really first saw Shin. After that I looked up the first random video of another performance from him was, and it was this. Both blew me away back then as much as they do now. 👍

    What's truly amazing is that he's only been doing magic for seven years. He was trained as a concert pianist but had to give that up due to carpal tunnel syndrome. But he didn't let that stand in his way... He learned a new vocation and became as accomplished at magic as he had been at music. Hats off to this young man... his determination is inspiring !!!

    its really amazing... ive been in magic for 10 years now and ive never seen a routine just like this... all the moves i love it... im entertained by it... i really appreciate your effort mr. shin lim for entertaining us... dont mind all those who did not appreciate what you did and those who always comment revelations of tricks... for me you really did a great job... To be honest, I would love for my own tricks to be revealed. I used to memorise codes to break calculators, and I can tell you the disappointment when I forgot most of them in just a few months. Revealation videos are honestly a documentation of what you have done, and there is no reason to be angry about them. If Shin is a real nice guy he won't mind getting his tricks revealed (or are they)
      Forgot to add that I myself originally hated revealation videos or people leaking my codes, but yea. If you somehow, forget your tricks, all in one fell swoop, you are gonna hope there were revealation videos out there.

    Seriously, flashes? Guys, I know the concept seems foreign for most magicians, but this is a LIVE performance. For real, front of an audience of people he doesn't know. I understand there's always room for improvement, but some of these comments are absurd.
    Awesome job Shin, hope to see you at Magic Con.

  • @russ7868
    @russ7868 6 років тому +1

    You see so many magicians use CGI or video editing to make you think they are good but Shin Lim is a true sleight of hand genius. He is the real deal! David Copperfield brought "feeling" to magic for the first time and Shim Lim does the same thing. He even gives the greatest Magicians out there the feeling of wonder and amazement that they felt before they learned magic. Finally, a true artist to entertain and amaze us. I love this guy!

    • @JamesWiseMagic
      @JamesWiseMagic 6 років тому

      Russ Wright Funny enough most magicians dont use CGI and camera tricks. So many non magicians seem to think the majority of magic tricks you see is edited in someway. The truth is the opposite actually. Most magic tricks you see dont have any kind of video editing at all.
      Of course camera tricks do exist but they are in the vast minority and not used as much as people think.

    • @russ7868
      @russ7868 6 років тому +1

      Very true. I was referring to people like Chris Angel. I know he is a very capable Magician but as a Magician myself, I understand how people would think camera tricks are used but C.A. does use camera tricks and editing like cuts and angles (and stooges). Watch him pull a woman in half at a park, in front of "spectators" It is obviously a cut. He switches the woman out for one who is actually half of a woman... maybe born that way. There are also others that use CGI to make you think they are performing great tricks. I have been seeing these video's more and more. I know the majority of magicians do not do this. It is just such an insult to magic, and our intelligence, when they do.

  • @Shakester71

      Really nigga you think he didn't purposely do that to make you think it's a trick when all of it was just demon work. Real magicians do basically a lot of things that happen during poltergeist. They just smile while it happens and most people don't recognize it. Mostly do to one second where the person watching thinks they saw the magician slip up but in reality it was part of the plan to make you think he did.

    + Shin Lim You are worthy of every award you receive. I love the use of music. And how you use the timing of dramatic music.
    No words need to be spoken. Your talent and the music are what makes you one of the best magicians in the
    world.

    Very interesting to see the routine at such an early stage. To understand that it was not at all perfect at first. Cool to understand some of the tricks with the small flashes here. :D Also makes me appriciate that the making of a great routine is a long process. The furbished 52 Shades of Red performed later on seems completely different compared to this...
