Shin is amazing, and he might be the best performer, with top slight of hand, and creativity that only a few people have, but if you look only at his slight of hand technique, although he certainly is up there without a doubt, he isn't the best

The deck is a gimmick. Every card is half black, half red. Look carefuly how he fan the black pile, and the red pile.
@@seriousthoughts-vn Good explanation, but when he initially shows and shuffles the deck, you can see a lot of card faces, and none of them are half and half. I don't see a deck switch. It just seems impossible.

first trick is fucked up, 3:36 that 9 of club is on the "red" stack
Haha the one black card in the red pile is the 9S which is also clearly shown in the black pike. Also there are only half the number of cards .. looks like a gimmickry deck of cards with rough/smooth or something... but yea gimmicked deck. Nice illusion otherwise but no real skill involved. More or less self working and prolly can be purchased from a magic supplier.

There is definitely collaboration in these acts of Shin with his wife and the vertical lines in the glowing cabinet in the back hold the secret. However, Shin is still an amazing artist.

Ok I saw him rotate the red pile of cards 180 degrees. So gimmicked cards. Fan it out one way and they show black. Rotate and fan out for red. The one black card was misplaced the wrong way during the setup.

The trick reveal the whole blank deck has all 52 cards with blank backs attached together in new deck order so when he says 3 of hearts shin culls the blank card with three of hearts to the top and then top changes his selection . Else things i dont know how the hell he counod do that
I had found two mistakes from your magic
1) You had did the top change,I mean you changed the Tom’s card
2)and you have pushed the blank card back while showing the three of hearts

Tom Elderfield did the Mat Franco's American Got Talent 1 Million Dollar Magic trick...bu t in a different way ....that mat franco do not show the deck....but tom shows deck then does it..which quiet unpredictable
SPOILER ALERT; Ok, so I have been watching the series. It is very obvious what is going on. He has a second player that is doing the leg work on this trick. When he put the blank deck down he palmed the created card and upon presentation of the 3, he took the blank card to his lap. You can see him looking off to his right throughout the trick, and when he repeated 3 of hearts you could see him verifying his helper heard.
I just don't know how. Like did you have 52(or more movies) printed and hoped he would pick one of those? Cuz besides that I think I got the whole routine but the kicker and main one is still baffling

The 1st red and black tricks, why there's only 12 cards on each side, I counted 52 cards total. Special decks of card, no skill involved. So there's half of those cards if you spread them out in a particular direction, it only shows black or red. When he showed the black, he did not turn the card, when he show the red he turn the card 180%.

Honestly Tom's trick isn't impressive. Pretty easy to figure out. Not to say he is not a great magician, but he could have brought something better to show down with Shin Lim.
