Another way you could do this would be to first get 50 prized cargo run mission from the shipwright. Then sail to North Star Seapost, vote up a prized cargo run then collect it from the seapost. After that you vote up and down a tall tale checkpoint six times then repeat. Got about 2-3 million gold per hour.

It doesn't which is why I was shocked when this did! It only worked for the cargo though. Turn in a regular piece of loot and no Emissary increase. Right back at ya, one day we should go exploring and tinkering together. Who knows what sort of mischief we'll cause. 😉

I believe that Ashen Mercenary’s Captain quests are te best way to get the commendations you seek for. All the delivery spots are in the Roar. However I’m not sure that it can only be picked up at Morrow’s, Fetcher’s and Ruby’s. Because I was already sent to retrieve cargo in Flintlock Peninsula and the Trade posts.

@@JonBardcore Yup, I've played on and off since the beta. Season 8 really caught my attention and I started playing a lot more recently. Before that, I last played a lot for Season 1/2 and I made it to Pirate Legend before seasons came out!
guys this method has been nerfed hard they made it so you dont get the cargo from the island that you are at i had 50 quest and 7 of them where from morrows peak it is possible but so rare that its not worth it you can try the 3 man methode but its still nerfed
Just a warning that there's really no way to optimise this for solo or double slooping. The game will give you your first stop as a pick up for cargo, but after that, the game will deliberately give you cargo pickups only for the other two islands your not at. Tried this tonight. Started at Marrows Peak, got our first cargo, then from then on the game refused to give us any more cargo from Marrow. Eventually had to buy more voyages, same again, went to Fetchers Rest, only once we picked up from there the game decided our options where now only gonna be Marrow or Ruby's as long as we were at Fetchers. A 3 man Brig split between the two pickups is the only way you can make this work effectively.

Me and my buddy decided to try this out on a sloop. The moment we raised reaper flag to start selling 2 reapers (Brig and sloop) also raised flag about a minute later and came down upon us like the wrath of God. It did not end well for us but we had fun.
Did you raise the emissary flag at morrow's peak or at the reaper's hideout? And so you said 30 crates would get to level 5, do you mean selling 30 crates to the reaper give you emissary level 5 or is like 35 crates picked up and put on the ship? Btw great video! First off, love the content, second you could maximize this furthur by using a galion and setting someone up at rubys fall, and with the galions extra speed you might be able to get more profit for selling on time, if that bonus stull applies for selling at reaper's hideout
One problem with that, if you have a full galleon crew that means three pirates need to vote on the Voyage instead of two. So three pirates need to be together, probably at Morrows. You can move loot a little faster but that is about it.
just a cheeky little life hack. you can guarantee the pickup location to always be at the outpost you are currently at by simply raising a tall tale 6 times (after picking up your cargo from the first quest) then simply raise another quest and it will spawn at your outpost. it will always spawn at your outpost however the tall tale animations are very annoying enjoy :)
@@JonBardcoreit was working the last time i played, which was less than a week ago, so i doubt they would of patched it. one thing i recommend, use ancient spire outpost, as the only people you have to collect the cargo from will be found at the docks. i can also upload a video if you want a step by step guide but it should be fairly easy to replicate.
Yeah the method I used to do it was get a gally (can do on a sloop/brig) and drop someone off at roaring traders, then everyone else head to morrows and vote (using the tall tale method) till get roaring and the guy there picks it up, if you use the original dr cargo voyages it will only get delivered to ancient spire (with the very rare krakens fall destination)

As a pvper, pretty much noone decent attacks reapers sitting at an outpost, especially in the devils roar, for most pvpers its too far away and hourglass is more efficient anyway.

Go back and forth between Old Brinestone Fortress and the Fortress that's to its NW. They're the two closest to each other and by the time you complete one, the next one has reset and is ready to complete again. Stack for the monies!

Great video! Thank you for sharing this. Two questions: how much water do you need in the bottom of the boat to prevent the plants from wilting? Also where did the pirate on Fetchers rest stow the goods to keep them from being damaged if the island erupted while he was waiting for you??
Water should be about halfway, so second line on the barrel. As far as Fetcher's, there is an outcropping of rocks near Fetcher where you can place the rum & silk so they aren't damaged. Plants can just stay nearby in water, the hot water of a volcano doesn't damage them!
Theoretically, any large, rocky overhang that puts a solid barrier between the rum and volcano to protect them from the falling rocks would work. The other thing to remember is that they must be placed on a solid surface(an undiggable surface). Geysers will damage rum very quickly, but they only spawn on soft, diggable ground. Finally, I spent as little time as possible near them. Skeletons will spawn -a lot-. Both naturally occurring groups and Captain Quests from the Athena Voyages. Always visually confirm skeletons don't have a keg when they spawn near the rum. The Rum seemed like it was in a safe place from the actual volcano. However, I never hunkered down in the same spot as the rum during an eruption since not only does the eruption seem to target the player, but the rocks have a pretty large explosion radius (Hence how I died in the cave at 5:40 despite not taking a direct hit) and I didn't want to risk it. By and large, protecting the rum is the hardest part. Cloth is pretty safe since there's no storm in The Roar. I just kept it on the dock and plants I just threw over the side of the dock into the water.

None of the crates were damaged by the volcano or the ocean crawlers or occasional keg skellys that spawned when Fetchers was the island the captains would be on from the ashen quest. Took some time but we made one run last night for $645k which was stress free except for our buddy on Fetcher’s who had to deal with the crawlers and skellys and eruptions :)
I'm for sure going to be trying this on a slightly smaller scale. Haha! I also thought about doing this with commodities as well. It'll be some interesting science for sure.
The other trick is to have an alliance with another ship, build up the emissary flag value, then have them disband your alliance and sink the ship to get the alliance flag. Then recreate the alliance and turn in the emissary flag together.
Thank you for watching! Keep in mind this method no longer strictly works with the removal of Captaincy voyages and there are more profitable ways to make gold though!
Hi there. I picked some stuff from a sunken enemy ship. It wasn't enough to get lvl5 Reaper, only lvl4. But my friends started to sell and we got to lvl5 very quickly. Was there any items that we sold that upped us to lvl5? Or do we lvl up our emissary by just selling anything? Thx a lot.
You either sold trade goods (plants, silks, rum) or commodities. That would be the only items to my knowledge that would increase your rank as you were selling
@@JonBardcore that makes sense. What do u think if one puts the Merchant Emissary just to buy communities, then lower to out the Reapers? You would gain some extra commodities at the start, and start selling those to help lvl up the flag
technically if you buy an emissary liscence for 20k or however much they cost, all the money you make from the emissary bonus with thats is profit to your investment
any information if it was nerfed ? we did it on a brig and as soon as we picked up our first cargos at each post we coudn't pick up anymore (we canceled and everything) or did we just have a bug?
too bad the commendations don't count. were that the case I might have considered doing this, but the completionist in me wouldn't want me losing out on the commendation progress :/ nice adventure :D
You can technically still time deliveries right for Merchants in that one hour time limit for max gold intake but it's going to be far less than the millions earned here. I'd just focus on any multi-order islands instead. Thanks for watching Robo!
So let me get this straight. You stacked voyages by collecting the crates and then cancelling your voyages? (I’m pretty new, played like 10 times) Then you took all of that stuff over to the reapers? And made yourself the reapers emissary and then just started selling it all? That’s honestly insane
Did you happen to pick up an Emissary quest? Sometimes that bugs out collecting cargo. Also, Stevie is not a guaranteed mission. You'll have to keep trying with canceling and dropping new voyages. Tad, Tallulah, Wednesday & the Senior Trader also all give out goods.
Great video! But imh this once again proves that the whole reapers system is kinda broken. It's not exactly high risk high reward, because you can literally raise the flag right before selling thus minimizing your exposure time. In a game where you can literally be attacked and killed by anyone at any time, having a reapers flag only makes it a bit more risky, while granting a huge benefit. I personally don't think it's very well balanced, and that's why you see reapers literally everywhere. There are more reapers players than of all other trading companies combined and that tells you something.
You don't "fix" it per se. You've just got to cancel the Voyage and try again. I feel like the randomness is what is keeping Rare from making a much bigger change to this Meta.

I remember the time I said to my friends were going to get the wondrous box of secrets and an Ashten voyage and we had so many of those rub bottles and they wouldn’t stop breaking them, by the way we actually found it that day and the chest of legends ashten done.
The sad thing is, with Hourglass PVP being int he game, even crazy strats like this one feel like it's not worth it. Hourglass PVP gives way more gold in less time
@@JonBardcore Yeah PVP is dying out heavily :x But either way, i think the overall "balancing" of the things you can do to earn gold is very bad. Order of Souls feels like a complete waste of time, merchant stuff makes you rich, gold hoarder is..pretty normal and with hourglass pvp, i get more gold in a month than i got reapering in half a year.

1.75 million?! I could always only get about 700k from 50 voyages (about 1 mil on gold rush). Is it because of that softpatch rare put in along the way to prevent you from getting crates? P.S. I found a trick, if you harpoon from a rowboat plants that are already in the water and you don't touch them after harpooning they stay wet. Same applies to cloth, so watch out.

Yes, you can now do the exact same strat not being a pirate legend. Just look for Ashen Cargo Runs in the Captain's Voyage section of the shipwright.
With the new season QOL Updates, surely this method is now easier. Primarily focusing on the harpoon rowboat.

Not the entire crew, just a majority! With Brigs you need two crew voting and with galleon you need three!

Go back and forth between Old Brinestone Fortress and the Fortress that's to its NW. They're the two closest to each other and by the time you complete one, the next one has reset and is ready to complete again. Stack for the monies!

Yep, that's what it is. Sounds tedious but the profit is there. The solo run took about four hours but each of the brig runs were just under two!
For the part using allies can we do this with just 2 people or we realy need to be 3
The problem with 2 is that you both need to vote on the Voyage so you're stuck on one island

Great video! Thank you for sharing this. Two questions: how much water do you need in the bottom of the boat to prevent the plants from wilting? Also where did the pirate on Fetchers rest stow the goods to keep them from being damaged if the island erupted while he was waiting for you??
Water should be about halfway, so second line on the barrel. As far as Fetcher's, there is an outcropping of rocks near Fetcher where you can place the rum & silk so they aren't damaged. Plants can just stay nearby in water, the hot water of a volcano doesn't damage them!
Theoretically, any large, rocky overhang that puts a solid barrier between the rum and volcano to protect them from the falling rocks would work. The other thing to remember is that they must be placed on a solid surface(an undiggable surface). Geysers will damage rum very quickly, but they only spawn on soft, diggable ground.
Finally, I spent as little time as possible near them. Skeletons will spawn -a lot-. Both naturally occurring groups and Captain Quests from the Athena Voyages. Always visually confirm skeletons don't have a keg when they spawn near the rum. The Rum seemed like it was in a safe place from the actual volcano. However, I never hunkered down in the same spot as the rum during an eruption since not only does the eruption seem to target the player, but the rocks have a pretty large explosion radius (Hence how I died in the cave at 5:40 despite not taking a direct hit) and I didn't want to risk it.
By and large, protecting the rum is the hardest part. Cloth is pretty safe since there's no storm in The Roar. I just kept it on the dock and plants I just threw over the side of the dock into the water.
@@JonBardcore thank you! We used the rocks just to the right of the dock. None of the crates were damaged by the volcano or the ocean crawlers or occasional keg skellys that spawned when Fetchers was the island the captains would be on from the ashen quest. Took some time but we made one run last night for $645k which was stress free except for our buddy on Fetcher’s who had to deal with the crawlers and skellys and eruptions :)

The other trick is to have an alliance with another ship, build up the emissary flag value, then have them disband your alliance and sink the ship to get the alliance flag. Then recreate the alliance and turn in the emissary flag together.

I picked some stuff from a sunken enemy ship. It wasn't enough to get lvl5 Reaper, only lvl4. But my friends started to sell and we got to lvl5 very quickly.
Was there any items that we sold that upped us to lvl5? Or do we lvl up our emissary by just selling anything?

You either sold trade goods (plants, silks, rum) or commodities. That would be the only items to my knowledge that would increase your rank as you were selling

What do u think if one puts the Merchant Emissary just to buy communities, then lower to out the Reapers? You would gain some extra commodities at the start, and start selling those to help lvl up the flag

I had this thought and tried this before, but my plants kept going bad even if I left them in the ocean. What's the trick for the plants?
Fill up the bottom deck of your ship about half way, right where the second lines on the barrels are. That'll keep them wet the whole time
technically if you buy an emissary liscence for 20k or however much they cost, all the money you make from the emissary bonus with thats is profit to your investment

You can still sell expired cargo but it's half value, even to Reaper's
do you get commendation progress if you turn them on time and perfect condition but at reapers?
Negative, for it to qualify for the commendation it has to go to the intended recipient.

Did you happen to pick up an Emissary quest? Sometimes that bugs out the pickups from merchants.

Did they fix it me and my crew were not able to pickup more than one quest and then it didnt even show pickup gargo button.
So they removed Captaincy voyages from the game in Season 11. There are some other ways to make gold fast though!
Can you only get the voyages from Morrows peak?
Ashen goods can only be found in the Devil's Roar territory so any of those islands.
This doesn’t work anymore, captains voyages got banished to the seas of the damned.

You can technically still time deliveries right for Merchants in that one hour time limit for max gold intake but it's going to be far less than the millions earned here. I'd just focus on any multi-order islands instead. Thanks for watching Robo!

Did you happen to pick up an Emissary quest? Sometimes that bugs out collecting cargo. Also, Stevie is not a guaranteed mission. You'll have to keep trying with canceling and dropping new voyages. Tad, Tallulah, Wednesday & the Senior Trader also all give out goods.
Great video! But imh this once again proves that the whole reapers system is kinda broken. It's not exactly high risk high reward, because you can literally raise the flag right before selling thus minimizing your exposure time.
In a game where you can literally be attacked and killed by anyone at any time, having a reapers flag only makes it a bit more risky, while granting a huge benefit. I personally don't think it's very well balanced, and that's why you see reapers literally everywhere. There are more reapers players than of all other trading companies combined and that tells you something.
There are a lot of benefits to flying Reaper's, true. Hope the other companies get a face lift in Season 9 or 10!

You don't "fix" it per se. You've just got to cancel the Voyage and try again. I feel like the randomness is what is keeping Rare from making a much bigger change to this Meta.
@@JonBardcore we tried it like 10 times and every time it was on the Island nobody was on. when we where all on morrows peak it only spawned on ruby's fall and fetchers rest like 5 times in a row

I remember the time I said to my friends were going to get the wondrous box of secrets and an Ashten voyage and we had so many of those rub bottles and they wouldn’t stop breaking them, by the way we actually found it that day and the chest of legends ashten done.

The sad thing is, with Hourglass PVP being int he game, even crazy strats like this one feel like it's not worth it. Hourglass PVP gives way more gold in less time
If you win multiple matches, sure! But I would bet there are far more people playing PVE versus PvP

But either way, i think the overall "balancing" of the things you can do to earn gold is very bad. Order of Souls feels like a complete waste of time, merchant stuff makes you rich, gold hoarder is..pretty normal and with hourglass pvp, i get more gold in a month than i got reapering in half a year.

1.75 million?! I could always only get about 700k from 50 voyages (about 1 mil on gold rush). Is it because of that softpatch rare put in along the way to prevent you from getting crates?
P.S. I found a trick, if you harpoon from a rowboat plants that are already in the water and you don't touch them after harpooning they stay wet. Same applies to cloth, so watch out.
