in regards to #6 at 2:52, this is super important for mouse players. with a mouse you have much finer control over your movements and you can easily make small adjustments with your wrist and big sweeping motions with your elbow. mouse players want to use one and only one sensitivity and stick with it, whichever you are comfortable with is fine. making all the sensitivities consistent means you can begin building strong muscle memory which is key to good aim. changing sensitivities by using different ADS modifiers, or DPI changing buttons, or mouse acceleration, or simply changing your actual sensitivity often greatly complicates things and makes it exceedingly difficult to build muscle memory. always make sure you try to use the exact same sensitivity across different games, disable mouse acceleration, enable raw input if your game supports it, and then stop messing around with it and start learning. this also probably applies to gyro aim players, but i don't have enough experience to say for sure. however, controller players do not have such luxuries. its hard to do anything other than broad sweeping motions in a single direction with a stick. controller players need a fast as fuck sensitivity while unscoped to turn around quickly, but then use a lower scoped sensitivity to make small adjustments. controller players are literally the entire reason aim down sights mechanics exist in shooter games as a compromise for their poor input controls, and controller players must make good use of the feature if they can. with that said, its probably best if you have all the different ADS sensitivities for all the different items be the same.
Dude, #12 is exactly what I needed to hear! As a solo slooper, the gold hoarder vaults are already difficult (only one person to solve & pick-up chests). The last vault I did I spent two hours picking up map pieces only to spend all my time pixel hunting for the 3rd medallion. Never did find it and made it out of there with just two seafarer chests. :(
You can do it with zero medallions. Knowing that pillar 4 has the combination; also know that single chains are on pillar two and double chains are on pillar 3. Yarr, its the lock n key that makes me stop and have to look. If you ever figure out a tip for those, let me know! You should always be able to make out with the tribute chest, knowing you only need to try 4 times.
@@Zlykin finding 1 medallion is always pretty easy and will make it faster anyways. I’d say it’s probably better to just keep an eye out for at least one or two while dropping all the other treasure and then going from there.
I learned from a few of these so in return here's a couple tips back. #37 when sword lunging skeletons, jump just as you release and look down. You can jump over the skeletons while still having your sword hit them. No more getting stopped by the first skeleton! Hurt all of them at once! #64 if your pet is potentially ruining your tuck, I forget the name of it but in the My Ship or My Crew menu where you can scuttle, there is an option to dismiss your pet.
tip from a solo slooper. if theres a skelleton sloop coming for you and you want to take it down. remove your sail. make boat spin just a little bit. always shoot them under the waterline. done in like 2 minutes :3
I solo sloop fleets, when facing a skelly galleon or sloop simply shoot fire at the top of the deck a couple of times, especially in the back. They will catch on fire and be unable to shoot cannons. Then keep all sails down and shoot bottom deck. Simply counter turn when you need and easy sinks. Anchor turn at end of waves
@@fysics5375 solo slooper here as well. OoS fleet voyages is the first thing i usually do (free storage crates lmao) and skelly fleets are some of my favorite content. Sloops usually arent a hassle. Spread your cannons as best youre able. Theyres probably a point youre close enough to chuck a few firebombs by hand, you dont need to try and cannon them over. What you do want is to shoot a blunder every 2nd~3rd ball and knock around the skellies trying to repair. Galleons: all that and then the power move: harpoon it (get holes in it first; firebomb the cannon line by hand) and yeah, harpoon it. At that point, bucket your water on them. They cant bail. This will make you a real good bilge real fast. Now that its season 9, a skelly sloop is a free emissarry grade/loot, and now yall can take on galleys too. If you can solo a fleet you, can can somehwat pvp. If youre solo, you should rock blunder/sword and stay on the ship as much as possible. If youre helm, its usually blunder/snipe. And cannon/boarder goes with whatever they feel. I personally liked sword/flint and will do seaforts like that still. Its hard to board against sword/blunder. This is your safest bet. Then you try and fight a siren/shark🤣 The key is to use what you please. The question isnt what should you use; the question is what makes you deadly. Get in the habit of grabbing range if you know youre in water. Pirates life finally made me drop flint for snipe, not pvp. Take that how you please. If i were to ever double gun/tdm id have flint+snipe, but flint/sword is the way. Im done and sorry for essay. Im just trying to add to the tips here. All my lessons, up there. Do a figure 8, use your sail brakes as into wind rather than trying to raise if if youre just trying to turn. Then, commodity run/recruit like glitterbeard, but then start uber-ing voyages. Dont know if this one was put out yet, but after killing an ashen lord, the skull they drop can be used as a flamethrower when holding and pressing your "shoot" button. 25:02 in my experience, it is also possible to out-shoot the mermaid statue’s healing solo with an eye of reach if you park your ship next to it or bring an ammo crate with you, it just takes a really long time, though it can help finish the job if you happen to be low on/run out of food

For #47, a newer player, if not buying stuff from the Emporium, will usually have not default, but something cheap, usually to distinguish themselves, like a basic colored sail. People pretending to be new will have default ship cosmetics
Another trick that I use when cooking anything is the sound it makes when its fully cooked. It makes a sound like pencil scribing on paper, its pretty noticeable.
Tip for Spotting skeleton sloops from across the map: They look like normal sloops because the rendering shows a normal sail but you can spot the skeleton ships from across the map because there is a foggy effect around the sloop
The difference between the T named characters is their gender. If you have a female name that starts with a T, like Tina, it's always a Tavern keep. If it's a male name, like Tim, it's a trinket vendor
Fun fact I found is when you are drunk, or someone hit you with a cursed cannonball, you can take a bucket of a water and right-click it. Drunk effect will go away immediately.
Is there something that increases a chance for ancient skeletons? Me and my partner were doing gold hoarders one day (i was very very new) and we got 7-12 ancient skeletons in 1 session, same server. Ever since then we havent seen one and i forgot they existed til this video. Does being in gold hoarders make it increase??
Sadly, there's no known way to increase ancient skeleton spawn rates I would guess the day you ran into a bunch of them was September 17th of last year, which was season 7's community day, during which they raised ancient skeleton spawns by an insane amount
@@TheWitherMaster no it was a normal day of season 9. Ive never experienced any season before 9 or any community day in general. Im still pretty new only 5 days of play time xd
@Julius Was it somewhere between March 25th and 27th? That was the community weekend to celebrate Sea of Thieves' 5th anniversary, and the only other time they've ever raised the anicent skeleton spawn

The skeletons on the ship will attack you on the ladder if they have guns doesn't happen very often but they do occasionally ladder guard

Tip for Spotting skeleton sloops from across the map:
They look like normal sloops because the rendering shows a normal sail but you can spot the skeleton ships from across the map because there is a foggy effect around the sloop

Sadly, there's no known way to increase ancient skeleton spawn rates
I would guess the day you ran into a bunch of them was September 17th of last year, which was season 7's community day, during which they raised ancient skeleton spawns by an insane amount
Thankyou for this 🙏🏽
