The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!
Love the air fryer catch and cook. I just bought one myself and plan on using it for fish fillets. One tip that my friends taught me is if you put a layer of tinfoil above the air fryer basket you don't need to wash the air fryer every time.
Dolphin used to do that at my house on Merritt Island going after mullet. Always great to watch. So beautiful and graceful. We never got sea Trout as big as those. Great channel.
Nice Trout! I love the Z MAN plastics, but I have never seen that Tater Salad color. I will be buying some of those! Never used a air fryer before either, I think I will be getting one of those too! Keep up the Good work!
Good info on changing baits. Couple of nice trout you caught. The trout and all the seasoning looked really good. Enjoyed the video, made me hungry. Thanks
Love that creek fishing ! Beautiful fish, only accessible by boat but without all the chop. I’ve watched at least 30 of your videos and always look forward to more.
I have learned how to cook the local fish from So Alabama here. As well as catch it. Way different from So. California. Thanks for all the good info. You have a nice presentation.
Excellent ! was hoping you would use an air fryer with trout and show the results. Now iI won't worry so much and ruin a dinner, .. (my fish 😆 )..Good tip on turning the temp up. Looks awesome/perfect white an flakey 😁
You sure catch some pretty trout up there. That air fryer looks like something we can use for sure. How long a run for your boat to get there? Thanks for the videos and all the tips.
try this prawn cocktail sauce mayonnaise tomato ketchup a dash of lee & perrins a splash of brandy and a splash of hot sauce like Tabasco (we call Worcester sauce lee & perrins)
my man....Im in north GA.....in about 1 hour, snow on the way, supposed to snow all dang day.....so Im jealous of where you are....I dont like the snow.....LOL
It was a nice one for sure! They taste great (maybe not as good as a fresh gag or red grouper) but still delicious as you don't have to go as far haha! Appreciate ya commenting.
Hey, those are my spots. The trout bite doesn’t really stop, it changes. Just gotta change the color and or drop the size of your lure like going with a slim swimz or a crappie size soft plastic. Don’t discount full chartreuse, like space guppy, as the water get dirtier. And, have an ultralight set up ready for those really light 1/16 oz jigs you’ll need for the little plastics.
I was in Bass Pro in Prattville the other day looking at the Z Man trout tricks but couldn't remember the colors you used so I held off on purchase. Im glad I did, I would be more confident in that minnow setup even though I have seen you catch fish on both. Which one do you prefer? Thanks for your effort in these videos. I love to trout fish and this info is very very helpful!
Great question! I love the Minnowz for covering water and fishing at all depths. The Trout Trick is great for jigging, or fishing an area more methodically by bouncing it back to you just off the bottom. I usually use the Trout Trick as a follow up lure when I get a missed strike on the Minnowz. Can't go wrong with either !
Have you ever tried the Savage Shrimp? I'm not sure what creek you are in, but Looks like the one I slayed some Red Fish in last year, all on Savage Shrimp lure with Pro Cure sent. I swear the scent seemed to make a difference.
I like the Savage Gear Shrimp! They look awesome in the water. I haven't used them since 2014 but they are great baits.I believe the scent helps a lot! At least cover up the plastic taste. Appreciate ya watching.
Usually this time of year, the afternoon high sun is better (earliest mornings and latest evenings in the warmer months) Also I like fishing on a High tide that's just starting to change. But a lot of times I just get out when I can and try not to overthink it!
Usually a straight retrieve with the occasional twitch on the Minnowz (colder the water, I will only do a slow straight retrieve). In deeper water, I switch to jigging the Trout Trick
They are excellent eating! I have caught two here in the State of Alabama, which is extremely rare to even see one! I have a couple of videos catching them :ua-cam.com/video/k62r7hxiNuk/v-deo.html
If Z-man doesn’t sponsor you, they should!!!! Good job as always.

Good stuff buddy!
Can't beat fresh off the boat speckled trout! Those bayou bass are delicious too!
Once again Bama, excellent footage and excellent recipe. Fantastic video all around 👌
Love the air fryer catch and cook. I just bought one myself and plan on using it for fish fillets. One tip that my friends taught me is if you put a layer of tinfoil above the air fryer basket you don't need to wash the air fryer every time.
Try parchment paper, it's a lot cheaper and works just as well.
I love your show... watch every episode. I'm from the area but I haven't lived home for many years. This is a taste of home. Thank you!
Don't worry...you're not boring and your information and presentations are great 🥰🙄🙄🙄😄🦀
Dolphin used to do that at my house on Merritt Island going after mullet. Always great to watch. So beautiful and graceful. We never got sea Trout as big as those. Great channel.

No problem! You'll enjoy it
Nice catch those trout are some dandies and man those dolphins I would have crapped my drawers if they shot out of nowhere like that 😁🎣🎣
Thank you! Haha they scare the heck out of me when I night fish and they come blow right by the boat haha. In the dark, it's amplified hahaha.
The Uncle Buck's is really great stuff and you can make a lot of fish with the $5 container. Looks great!
I have learned how to cook the local fish from So Alabama here. As well as catch it. Way different from So. California. Thanks for all the good info. You have a nice presentation.
Like the way you explain what you are doing
You may like a loop knot on the jig heads. Allows more free movement in the lure.
I do appreciate your style
Another great video I just can’t clean fish that easy lol. I’ve been going to get a air fryer and I’m going to get one really soon.
Another great video!
Thank you
Love the catch and cook, dog. Great job. Was in OBA surf fishing last weekend. Had a couple hook ups but got skunked.
That looks like restaurant quality food, yummers! I wonder, if putting that recipe under a broiler would work, if you didn't have an air fryer?
Excellent ! was hoping you would use an air fryer with trout and show the results.
Now iI won't worry so much and ruin a dinner, .. (my fish 😆 )..Good tip on turning the temp up. Looks awesome/perfect white an flakey 😁
Air fryers are great even the air ovens are great too we have one of each at my house
You sure catch some pretty trout up there. That air fryer looks like something we can use for sure. How long a run for your boat to get there? Thanks for the videos and all the tips.
Loved it!
You caught snook in Alabama? great video

Good looking fish to eat
Oh man that second trout you got was hugh. I never ate trout, buti would love to try it. Then again, I'm a grouper kinda guy.
It was a nice one for sure! They taste great (maybe not as good as a fresh gag or red grouper) but still delicious as you don't have to go as far haha! Appreciate ya commenting.
The Texas Eye Zman jig heads have better action with those paddle tails but you’re catching fish so what do I know🤣🤣
Great buddy

Love your videos. I fish out of Ono but would love to find some of these creek areas for winter. Not asking for your spots but do you have any advice?
Enjoy ur videos. I live in jasper al what back water were you fishing .
🔥
2 questions , how heavy was the larger trout, do you use barbless hooks ?
Have you ever tried the Savage Shrimp? I'm not sure what creek you are in, but Looks like the one I slayed some Red Fish in last year, all on Savage Shrimp lure with Pro Cure sent. I swear the scent seemed to make a difference.
P.S. : I Bought the lures from J&M.
I like the Savage Gear Shrimp! They look awesome in the water. I haven't used them since 2014 but they are great baits.I believe the scent helps a lot! At least cover up the plastic taste. Appreciate ya watching.
So what's the average guy have to dish out for a spinning combo like that? Sure works well. Suppose I could click the bass pro shop link. Nice!
Thanks for the video!!! What time of the year do you think is best for fishing in Alabama?
April-May and the months of October-November (depending on the temperatures) But all year can present excellent opportunities
Thanks!!
@@BaitsandBBs Anytime
love the content maybe we can get together and fish sometime. I also live in Alabama, Eufaula Alabama.
Do you fish by the tides or fish early morning?
Usually this time of year, the afternoon high sun is better (earliest mornings and latest evenings in the warmer months) Also I like fishing on a High tide that's just starting to change. But a lot of times I just get out when I can and try not to overthink it!
Do you ever jig those z-man's or use just a straight retrieve?
Usually a straight retrieve with the occasional twitch on the Minnowz (colder the water, I will only do a slow straight retrieve). In deeper water, I switch to jigging the Trout Trick
How did you catch a bass in saltwater?

Did not know Bass could live in salt water
Alabama snook!??
Yup! I've caught two in Alabama
@@BamaSaltwater that's awesome!
education is not boring.....
Ingram Bayou ?
What is people's fascination with lemon on fish and seafood to me it adds nothing
Everyone's taste buds are different! I like that it add's a light citrus flavor to the seasoned fish fillets. It lightens them up.
🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶😉😉🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Great info, in every video. Love the catch & cooks, def gonna have to try the air fryer. Now I am hungry lol
Thanks much! Yes, the Air Fryer is a game changer for real! Such easy convenience while still tasting great
