I just ran 4 buckets of unclassified dirt after carrying 2 of them about 1.5 km and would be lucky if I got a 0.1 where as yesterday I got half a bucket and got about 0.2. There are a lot of good creeks around here, there just dry and make it hard to process any amount of gravel, I'll have to find one with a good water hole to have a play in. I'm sure one day I'll find a nice little creek with the goods. Cheers mate

I will be making some, I'm trying to get a 6000, once I have that I'll be spending money on projects again, although the next subs day might clash and I'll have to make prizes for that. Thanks mate, the creeks in my area only flow during rain and then its gone, you can find the odd pool to wash in, but the gold might not be close. We have one creek that does hold water but its on the banned list, so thats a bugger. I'm going to have a drive around the area to find another creek to test, and hopefully it will have some water pools. Cheers Pete
Cool vid. I like that you show getting trash as well as the little bits of gold as thats prospecting not just digging up big nuggets. Im a pro at finding trash and i noticed you kept the trash too😂. Ive got the same sluice mat the fold rat but use a sump punp on a generator and get good flow. Use it around the pilbara gascoyne but have to usually carry a heap of water and recirculate it but it doesnt last long unless i find a waterhole to use it in. Have found a bit using it and its always fun to see if theres anything in different areas. I see how you blanked the start of the sluice off i will try to do the same and was going to make a bit of a high banker attachment for if i ever find a creek with plenty of water to dig in. I set mine up on an old foldable chair frame into a large blue barrel, holds about 80,90litres of water but lose a fair bit after a few tubs of dirt go through and it silts up the water after a while, but will keep on digging, its all in the fun of getting dirty and finding either a spec or half a teaspoon and im happy as. I should start filming it for a laugh as even though its a bit hard going it is a rewarding fun pastime just to find and realize gold can be found literally anywhere and everywhere😂😂. Thanks for watching mate, appreciate it. Prospecting isn't all beer and skittles, unfortunately theres a lot of junk out there, but there is a little gold mixed in with it that keeps you interested. There a great sluice and with a quick mod you can turn them into a flowing sluice, I use a 3500 gph bilge pump and it works a treat, the spray bar is off my highbanker, i put a new one on so they were just laying around, so on they went. That creek runs dry and that waterhole is about all that remains, but there is gold there so you can spend a few hours there before it silts up. Cheers Pete
It was a 3500gph on a sad battery, I think it wasn't flow that much. The spray bars were a temporary thing, might need a more free flowing system. Cheers mate

@goldsluicefiddler2342 It's an old battery, that's why I went to petrol pump. I've had a lot of commitments this year and the end of last and it doesn't give you time to get out and find new patches, hopefully soon I'll get onto another good run of gold.

Walked 2 km down a creek near home but to no water puddles anywhere, even the big slab of bedrock ( usually has water trapped) it was dry. Bummer , but I had a good time having a go. Cant slways have a win , testing new ground is another way to look at it I suppose. Still I loved it anyway😊

I'll run a test and if it has colour I'll grab more. The other week when I was there I didn't see any water, but there might be further down the hill. The other problem is I can't get the car anywhere near the gravel, so it's a good 50 to 60m wheel barrow to out.

I have a couple of creeks that have gold but water is an issue in one, I'll have to give it another go once it rains again or take samples to find a hot spot and then collect gravel to take too a bush dam, that might be next Fridays mission 🤔
Thanks mate, we can use pumps in Victoria, but you have to manually feed the sluice, highbanker or trommel, you aren't allowed to use a suction dredge or mechanical means, this includes battery powered hammer drills. Cheers mate 👍

Yes,that pressed metal is hard to get,7mm mesh is best,but 9-10 mm is o.k. Make a half round handle for it to be able to swing it out of way for larger rocks and emptying, regards George

That creek just isn't paying out enough, it's great being close to home, but just not enough gold. The gimbal went flat, so I sat the phone on the ground, wrong way up though, but all good, we're not professionals by any streak of the imagination. Cheers Glenno

@zaneblack1132 In some states of Australia that is correct, but not in Victoria, here you can use petrol or electric pumps, you can also use trommels and highbankers as long as you hand feed them, you can't use mechanical means to feed material, it has to be done by hand.
