Japanese devs don’t focus just on the male gaze. People need to realize this. They also go for female gaze. Popular examples are the male characters on Dead or alive series, Ninja Gaiden, and more fighting games. The west just doesn’t want straight men to enjoy some entertainment. But funny how every gay parade has so much freedom. Everything they want to sensor on their games for underage people, it’s seen in those parades
