Do you use regular Japanese/short grain rice (sold sometimes in the US as sushi rice) or sweet/sticky/glutinous rice (which is used to make actual mochi)?
I used to watch your videos all the time and I remember seeing you give updates on your daughter when she was just born. Then I forgot my password and made a new account so I forgot about most of the channels I watched. I just rediscovered you and now you have a son omg!!
hehe thank you~ i think this is why i can keep up at least one recipe a week here on youtube. my schedule is always so full that i always have no idea when i can edit the next video 😅
ochikeron haha I'm glad you're sharing your recipies. It's hard to find fast and healthy recipes that also taste well I made your Matcha Cookies at least 5 times already 😂
aww thank you~ if you know the word "Umami" japanese food doesn't have strong taste with a lot of seasonings. very simple yet tasty. i hope you enjoy more of this kind~ :)
ochikeron haha you mean it does have a strong taste, right? We call it "Herzhaft" in Germany but for some reason the Japanese name is more widely known recently I noticed how simple and good Japanese food is when I tried エビチリ 😍 it's my favourite dish right now haha
if you use non-stick pan it won't stick that much. maybe i used too much oil to show you~ but it is tasty for sure in this way :) btw, people at stores use a grill to burn the outer rice. if you have a burner, it will do. i should have showed you~ i have a small burner at home for cooking.
good question. miso with dashi may be little too tasty and salty (and yes sometimes cheap). you can try because it depends on the brand you use. in that case, just mix water ;) also vegetarian people want to get miso without dashi because usually those miso with dashi use bonito.

It's hard to find miso in my place, so I think I'll just brush them with soy sauce like you'd do with yaki onigiri. Trying it out for sure!

ochikeron it's the cuteness of all the things you use and the fact I can't get anything like that in the UK :(

Would the rice stick if I don't oil the pan? I'm trying to use as little oil as possible for my parent's diet. 🤔

ochikeron Thank you! 😊
Is it ok to use the miso paste that already has dashi in it? Or is that sort of miso a worse quality?
good question. miso with dashi may be little too tasty and salty (and yes sometimes cheap). you can try because it depends on the brand you use. in that case, just mix water ;) also vegetarian people want to get miso without dashi because usually those miso with dashi use bonito.

Can i use white miso??
yes with less sugar will work~ maybe just a teaspoon
ochikeron thank you
What!? no wooden bowl with mallet to mash the rice? 😄😄😄 looks like a simple dish to make.
nope 💕
I dont have sesame oil and eeds... cn i still cook?
Yes. No sesame flavor may be nice, too ☺️
ooh I really want to try this. Is there a way to get the rice here in America?
YES! rose rice is very popular there~
Mine came out too wet and fell apart :( I will try again with less water haha
yes be careful next time~ no need that much water like when you make rice balls 😅
What kind of miso is this? Awase?
yes! awase. and any miso is okay i think :) must be fun to try out in different flavors~
朝ドラ影響??💛💞💕💞💕
