Nah I was messing with you no.11 is Arendse and no.14 is Cheslin Kobe. They are a little hard to tell apart coz they wear the same head gear, are the same height and have the same skin tone.
If you want the correct pronunciation. First let explain the word and its meaning. A SpringBok is a small buck found in the plains of Africa that is well known for how it hops through tall grass and has unparalleled and massive amounts of dexterity. "Spring" is the Afrikaans word for Jump and "Bok" is for Buck. Now to pronounce it correctly you say "Spring" almost the same way you would say "Gin" but with the small g at the end announced. think of it like Gin but Gin-g, Now just replace the first G of Gin with Spr. The last bit would sound like Box but ending with a K "Bok". Spring Bok
I watch NFL and I love it to bits, however I think American Football is more dangerous than rugby,I’m scared of the helmets that you are using when tackling someone.
The helmet it self already a weapon .
Rugby is much safer and easier to me than American Football,we don’t tackle you in the air,we don’t use our arms without involving shoulders and also it not allowed to tackle someone using ur head😊.
Gear show guys 👍🏿👍🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Interview the team man!!!
As a black South African Springbiks make me cry, if only our country could come together I believe nothing will stop us 😢😢
We are together in battle...
There many of us South Africans, from all races and backgrounds we want to integrate and work together. Just focus on the positive and good ones and move forward.
As a white South African, I agree with all my heart and soul. They sounded the call for us to stand together and united we stand for these finals GO BOKKE!
United we can win at anything.
You should see the expat crowd in London. United we stand.
To us rugby is not just a sport, it's ingrained in our culture and our lives. Springbok are our team, our boys, our pride whether they win or lose... Our blood is green and gold...
All the way man! 🤝🏽🇿🇦🫡
Couldn't agree more my bru 🇿🇦
And we WON'T be stopped! 🇿🇦😤💪🏽
bokke!!!!
it the bokke we trust!❤️🇿🇦
A big fat congrats to our Springboks for retaining their World Championship in France last night. 😁🥳What a day to be proudly South African.🎉
Trots op onse boks❤🦌🇿🇦🔥Proud to be a South African 🎉
Amazing team. They bring South Africans together.❤
The 2 small wingers are Kurt Lee Arendse and Cheslin Colbe. Two different players . Both still playing for South Africa 🇿🇦. Saturday we gave the All Blacks their biggest lost in their history
Kolbe*
And if you don't know them apart, Colbe always wears the black scrumcap, and Arendse wears the green and gold scrumcap.
A lot of Makazole Mapimpi also at 11. And at times Canan Moodie at 14. We are blessed to have these 4 amazing wingers to choose from. Mapimpi's age probably catching up to him (though you wouldn't be able to tell from his speed) so I expect we'll see less of him after the World Cup.
Lekker bokke! Daar was baie biere en vleis geniet!
I don’t know how many channels I’ve put this exact comment on Arendse and Kolbe😂😂
Number 11 is Mapimpi. Talent and toughness. An amazing story behind this guy. Will bring tears to your eyes if you watch a clip of the SA coach talk about him.
Rassie brought me to tears with how much he loves his boys
The team had Jerseys with pictures of their families all over the back of their jerseys. Mapimpi had only pictures of himself and teammates i believe on the back of his jersey, when the coach saw this he immediately asked why he does not have his mom or dad or cousins on his jersey? Mapimpi said: “because i don’t have a family, this is my family” 😢
This team continues to make us all proud to be South Africans. We are well represented
DEFINITELY THE MOST FEARED TEAM IN THE WORLD!👍👍👍🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
The Springboks are the national team of South Africa. We have won 3 rugby world cup titles and are hoping to win a 4th title this year. WC starting in 10 days in France. Since the making of these clips, the Springboks have got even better. They are very physical on the field but have evolved to also play a fast game with the fast and powerful backline. The Boks and the All Blacks are considered to be two of the best teams in the world and rivalry is fierce between the two. On Saturday the Boks trashed the All Blacks at Twickenham 35 - 7
On friday night we trashed them atleast SA time that is
I'm proudly South African! But don't get it wrong, the All Blacks will come back with lots of fire
@@schplok Fully agree. That is what makes the SA vs NZ matches so exciting
Lots of respect for the KIWI's. A wounded KIWI is a dangerous one, same goes for the Springboks. But if RSA and NZ makes it to the World Cup Final, I think it will truely be a final for the books.
True, a few years earlier the ABs beat the Boks 57-nil, Other than last Friday and that huge score (abberations), both are incredibly close every time we play.
I laughed so hard when ya'll said ya'll heard of the All Blacks and never heard of the Springboks😂😂
Same🤣🤣🤣
To be fair, The All Blacks are THE greatest rugby team of all time.
I was traumatized u ppl never heard abt the Springboks😂😂😂😂😮😮😮

Just such a GREAT PITY the playing Checkers bags. BOKKE COLOURS ARE GREEN N GOLD, and that's what we want to see! 🐝
Mzansi inside!! 🇿🇦🇿🇦
The Springboks are from South Africa.
These highlights are from the last 2 years so what tou see here is pretty acurate on how the team play to date.
Number 14 is Cheslin Kolbe (Kolbe is pronounced Coal-Be) he is widelely regarded to be the best right winger in the world (he can step you in a phone booth)
Number 11 is Kurt-Lee Arendse (Arendse is pronounced 'R-End-Sa')
The placement kicking is called a penalty and is worth 3 points. The rugby equivalent of a touchdown is called a 'try' and is worth five points.
Great info. :). If I can just add that since they know American football in that after they cross the endzone (try line) a team has the option to go for 1 extra point via close up field goal, or 2 extra points.. Which is scrimmage (in rugby quick tap) from the 5/10 yard line. In rugby you ONLY have the option of kicking at poles for extra points (the conversion) and it's worth 2. So 5 points for the try and 2 points for the conversion.. As opposed to 6 points for the touchdown and 1 for the "extra point" (conversion).
Arendse was only 11 for like one play. Most of the time it was Mapimpi.
No rugby rules allows an extra 5 point try after the try, executing it though is a completely different story
CHESLIN KOLBE!! Nr. 11 (or some times 14). His cousin is the world record holder for the 400m sprint, Wayde van Niekerk. These guys are BEASTS.
completely gobsmacked after viewing this clip seriously, wasn't sure if these guys were pretending just to have a laugh or what lol, can't be posting clips with that level of stupidity lmao, you been following the all blacks but never heard of the 4 time rugby world champs who just so happened to have beaten their team in 2 world cup finals 🤔😅, u've seen the bucks face the all blacks few times in that clip yet still assume they from NZ LOL, NO GUYS don't be naughty lol
But they did switch jerseys though.😂😂 The guy you like at nr.11 was 14 in the one match that your friend noticed. He plays 23 when he comes off the bench. Kurt-Lee Arendse(11/14/23) and Cheslin Kolbe(14) and Makozole Mapimpi(11). So there are 2 starting wings(left wing[11] and right wing[14]). If anyone wears anything more than 15, it means he came on as a substitute off the bench. They didn't clone him lol
World Champions South Africa🙌 Captain courages #6 Siya Kolisi grew up in a slum with almost no food to eat and worked his way up to become the first black South African Rugby Champion👌 The whites from South Africa are from Dutch settlers - If you don’t know, the Dutch are the biggest/tallest nation in the world so from heritage these guys are monsters. Together in this Diverse country it has created the most feared and brutal playing with heart rugby team in the whole world.. Welcome to the world rugby gentlemen dominated by the South African Springboks😎
Wow … we definitely gotta dive deep in to this sport
Just a correction on my previous comment Siya Kolisi was the first black “captain” of the Springboks I said “champion” previously😊 Happy to see you guys lovin them. Also Siya is the first Rugby player to sign with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports management company😎
Wouldn’t say dominated
Note that Kolbe as well as Arendse are 'coloureds', generally descendents of the Khoikhoi/,Bushmen and Europeans.
Those two are great examples of the small fast slippery sidestepping tricky players that can make such a devastating backline.
And ireland are going to dominate you next week. This is our world cup. We're going to hammer you. This is irelands time now. Grand slam champs.. No.1 in the world. Its over.
Our guys are the best!proudly south african here!!!❤🇿🇦
Appreciate the comment
Dear Dunson House, your words are true! Whatever it takes. No gear. Just force. The Springboks are THE BEST in the world. We are physical, fast and furious. We live for our team here in South-Africa and to many people I say they are gods to us. They bring us joy and fuel us with energy in these dark times we live in. Thank you for giving them credit. Thank you for acknowledging our Springboks’ fierceness. You guys rock.
We (South Africa) are the defending champions. We are one of the best and our guys play their hearts out for their country.. we love you Bokke
I love watching your videos. I’m South African and at times we don’t have much to celebrate but we LOVE our rugby and we LOVE how it unites us as a country. Thanks for showing love.
The all blacks played the Springboks at the match that took place at Twickenham recently. You should react to that!
Yes!
Dont bother it was a recon match, meaningless game, all blacks let them win. The trophies are all in nz again for like the tenth year in a row.

@@SeriouslydaveOuch!.. sore loser alert coming through 😂
@@Seriouslydaveyou're a sore loser broe,New Zealand has won the World Cup 3times,as many as South Africa and we are current World Champions
The two short guys are Cheslin Kolbe (14) and Kurt-lee Arendse(11). Dangerously quick and lethal feet
Number 11 is Makazole Mapimpi. Kurt Lee Arendse is number14 and Cheslin Kolbe wears number 10, 14 or 15 depending on where he is playing in the team that day.
From South Africa, go bokke! We are all so proud of each and every one!
Tackling: you may not tackle above the arms (no direct contact to the head) and have to use (wrap) your arms around your opponent (no deliberate shoulder-charging). You may not kick your opponent. Once you've taken your opponent down to the ground you have to release him immediately. Those are about the most important tackling rules.
Proudly South African🇿🇦❤SpringBoks PowerHouse built of Steel..❤

The springboks brand is more than rugby. They inspire, influence and impact. For example in their recent trainkng camp in corsica France ahead of the world cup...they made time to go to the schools there and impact the young ones. You just have to look at their passion when they sing our national anthem. 🇿🇦 love your reactions guys👌🏽

Kurt Lee Arendse
Makazole Mapimpi
Kaynan Moodie
Cheslin Kolbe

What u mean
They meant played
Little brief description of rugby for those who dont know.
The goal of rugby is get over the try-line where you have to physically place the ball on the ground which is then followed up by a place kick (conversion), like your American Football. The other way to get points is if the opponent violates any rules that warrant a 'penalty', where we can go for another 'place kick' (or a scrum or lineout kick) which awards 3 points as opposed to a try which is 5, followed up the conversion attempt, awarding 2 points. Tries and conversion go hand in hand but you can miss the latter, only resulting in a 5 point gain, awarded from a try and not a total of 7.
Basic Info:
1. Pass the ball straight or backwards - forward is well forward and not allowed.
2. Can kick the ball from hand to gain yards into enemy territory which is a gamble as you will either lose possession or reclaim it from the kick - this is used when you cant get through a defensive line or their line and or fullback as pushed up leaving space for a kick and run to retake and make ground.
3. That thing of the players being bent down, bound together, is a 'scrum', awarded from foul play, it gives the attackers a chance to execute a set piece or move, very much like in American Football, its like your hucks, just not for every single play as only arises from foul play. The opponents can however overpower the attackers scrum and push them backwards to gain the ball back using their feet. A scrum is used to open the playing field up as less players are roaming or to gain yards close to the try-line or to result in a penalty from applying too much pressure in the initial hit, causing the opponents to collapse the scrum for example which is not allowed.
4. When players are tackled, the ball carrier needs to release the ball back into play once on the ground (why you see many of them stretch their arms out to place the ball back on their side to be picked up), and this is where the opponents pile in as they are going to try rip the ball out of your hands (theres more to it but thats the basic principle), which will result in you either giving it away or holding onto it (which is a penalty as you must not stop the ball from being played in essence), this is why the teammates pile in once someone is tackled to 'clear' and prevent the opponents from getting over the ball and causing a penalty. Teammates clearing these 'rucks' also allows the ball to become readily available for faster movement and plays.
5. When the ball is kicked out (there are other things like where the kick took place, did it bounce beforehand but thats for another time), this is a 'line-out' where more set moves are executed, like your hucks, so players try move around the line-out to confuse the opponents as the thrower is throwing for a pre-determined distance and height depending on what 'move' they are doing and this is why the opponents try mimic their movement so they can get their jumpers at the same location in the line so they can jump with the attackers to try contest the throw.
6. Player jersey numbers from 1-8 are the 'forwards', these are usually the bigger guys that participate in scrums, ruck clearing, lineouts and general defensive-line bruising, think of them are your 'Guards' in football. Then the numbers 9-15 are the 'backs', think of these are your 'Receivers'.
7. One last way to get points, is by going for drop goals which awards 3 points. This is where you can drop the ball and upon the bounce, follow with a kick and must go in-between the up rights. Perfect example of this for me anyways, would be the retired English legend Jonny Wilkinson.
I think that's the general idea of rugby without diving into the specifics of each areas and the rules.
LETS GO BOKKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE #RWC23
The Springboks are the best and the World Champions!! 💪🏻🇿🇦
It feels so special and fun to see my own land , and to know all their names [ SA all the way🇿🇦 ]
I like how Mookie was right all along with the switching of jerseys. You guys have come along way. Your effort is much appreciated.
Proudly South African. Our springboks are the best.
Rugby players do sustain injuries but oddly enough the injuries aren't that major, plus the players heal up fast & well.
The Springboks on the other hand, they are built in secret terminator facilities scattered under our sports stadiums, every citizen pays tax & donates blood for the soul cause to support the production of our rugby players.
Great to see the reaction & how much you enjoyed it, we South Africans take great pride & joy in our rugby world champions, the Springboks.
And those damn ears remember how the ears look
The Springboks on Friday stuffed the All Blacks (our oldest, dearest and fiercest foe,) 35-7, two weeks out from the RWC. THIS IS GOING TO BE TOUGH! Cheers from South Africa.
Respectfully, let’s avoid scoreline spoilers😂😂 possible future video there
I really love watching you guys embracing our Bokke the way you do. Go Bokke 💪. You make me even more prouder for boys. Thanks to Mandela who manages to bring the nation together through rugby 🏉 🙌 👏 👍. Viva rainbow nation viva. South Africa 🇿🇦
AMEN
So glad u are reacting to my country. One of the things we're proud of here. Hopefully we win the WC. It starts 8 Sept. We recently played the all blacks who are our biggest rivals and won
South Afican here. Yes, the Boks are awesome when at their dominating best. On a high after the recent, almost surreal destruction of the All Blacks, our greatest rival. But these things go in cycles, and it was not long ago that we took 50 point hidings against them and some other teams. One thing that remains constant though is that our game has always been based on physical domination, but anyone can see that's not always going to work. As every other nation has recognised, far greater consistency is possible if following a skills based approach. On the other hand perhaps, just deviating from the universal/prescribd skills based approach does make the Boks special. Our current crop is quite atypical in that they are also highly skilled and the team is as well balanced as ever and looking good going into RWC23...
Your world cup is over. You're getting hammered next week by the best team.on the planet..ireland. This is our world cup
@@TheGeneral_LUFC Wake up you dreaming bro😂
@@TheGeneral_LUFC Guess who won the world cup

@David9LUFC nobody had as tough a run up to that final as the Springboks. And they still did it and won that cup. Back to back! Give credit where it's due. That's good sportsmanship. 🎉🎉
The Spring Boks are the hardest rivals we have as All Black supporters. Super physical and near unbeatable at set plays.
I don't the think the All Blacks have bigger fans outside of NZ than in SA. It's not just a rivalry it's more like a sibling rivalry, we fight but there's nothing but love there. ka aroha matou ki to matou teina i aotearoa
End-zone = try line = 5 points (used to be 3 points and that is where 'tri' comes from, was moved up to 5 points to encourage a running game, as opposed a kicking game).
When you kick over after a try (conversion) it is 2 points. When you kick over due to a penalty in your favour, it is 3 points. And a drop goal is 3 points.
Apologies for the correction, but No, that’s incorrect.
The word try comes from how rugby was originally played and scored. You had to cross the line and put the ball down, like we do to this day, which was worth no points in itself.
It only gave the team an opportunity to ‘Try’ and kick at the goals to get a point. That’s where the word try originates from.
Later on, they decided to reward the dotting down, points for the effort of crossing the line and to encourage a running game like you’ve mentioned.
Technically speaking, Place kicking, has always been at the centre of rugby Union, since day dot.
I once thought it was what you said, but someone corrected me a very long time ago, and then I looked into it. I Hope you can appreciate the little history lesson like I did back then 😂
I feel so honored now that i know all of the springbok players personally 😂😂
As a south african . I think we in trouble if you guy make more vids like this . Coz the NFL is gona buy our players 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣was gobsmacked at the honestly 😅, NFL players ain't shit on rugby players lol, i'd like to see them take on my man Eban the terrible lol💪👊
Howzit guys, a 'touch down,' to us is worth 5 points, then you have a conversion kick of the try worth 2 points. When there is an offside, bad tackle, forward pass etc, a penalty is then worth 3 points. I am African, South African, we beat NZ by 35-7 last Friday night, their biggest loss in history leading into the world cup. Great show, thanks for sharing us out there, world cup is in France this year, then Australia in 3 years and in the USA the year after so best you teach your viewers, we are coming.
The Springboks is the. current world champions
The player who scored the try at 2:33 actually went to my brother's high school. The Springboks - and rugby in general - are a huge part of South African culture. It is just a physical display of the human ability and how that can unite a whole country. We love our Boks and all that they have done in the RWC this year! Truly magical! Oh and to clarify, yes, we are intimidating, but in this RWC we are the team with the lowest errors and have only had one yellow card so far... They're awesome and they make me proud to be South African!
It's great to have your reactions back lads 👌
No-one talks about the Springboks brutal forward pack (player no.1 to 8). They are considered to be the most feared pack of forwards in world rugby. The are the reason for the backline's flashy plays #SABombSquad

The number 14's are two differrent players, Kolbe and Arendse. In rugby, each position is a number, so depending who plays that day, they will display that number. Touch down is a "try" (5 points). You have to ground the ball by hand. Then you have to convert (field goal, which is 2 points.) Great video, thanks guys!
Now I understand. Dankie
Mapimpi, Arendse and Kolbe. Number 11 and 14 are the same positions(winger) on different sides of the field. All of those guys play 11 and 14, but bc our squad depth is so good, they have to switch with these guys. The World Cup is underway, and those 3 guys are surely the players to watch!!
This reminds me of captain my captain the late Hansie Cronje. Cricket SA was fire those days
That there is the South African National team🇿🇦. The best team in the world. React to a scene in the movie Invictus. Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela. It tells the story of how mandela supported an all white team right after apartheid ended which led them to their South Africa's first Rugby World Cup Win. There is a method to the madness haha. When tackling you use the shoulder and arms only, without going higher than the attackers shoulders. You also need to position your head in the right place, away from the attackers legs, that reduces the risk of getting knocked on the head and concussions
Guys its not the size of the man , it's the size of your heart and the love of your game , your team and you country . Lesson Don not mess with any south african guys . We will not stand down no matter what even if I'm going to loose 😂
The numbers on the jerseys relate to the player's position. Numbers 11 amd 14 are the left and right wings respectively. You wear the number of the position you were selected for for the particular game. Sometimes players are selected for positions other than their usual ones
I'm a proud South African. The Springboks are current world champions and are currently in the semi finals of the rugby world up 2023 in France.

a try (touchdown) is 5 points then after scoring a try you will have a conversion kick (field goal) which worth 2 points, so 7 points total. Then if theres a penalty you can choose to kick but for a penalty the kick is worth 3 points.
The Springbols representing SA real good ❤❤❤❤ i wish i can say the same for the boys the boys😢
You guys were both right. In rugby you dont choose your number. you play in the number of your position. So different players will sometime wear different jerseys based on what position they are playing in a particular match.
In South Africa ,we live and love rugby ❤

These are my boys.....from little Faf to big, burly Ox! The pride of our nation 💚💛🇿🇦!! They bring us all together and because of them, we are stronger together 🇿🇦🇿🇦!! We have the humblest Captain in Siya!! His dedication to his team and his country is something to behold ♥️!! World Champions 💚💛!!
For me I think when the Springboks are playing, the age restriction should be increased to 18 VL. They are just too aggressive for kids to watch, it would be like we are promoting violence. 🤣🤣 But I still like them. They have that warrior spirit.
South African here. Former Rugby player and proud Springbok supporter. The team you were watching is the South African national rugby team, aka, the Springboks.
Regarding the tackles, you can tackle a player as fast and as hard as you want. There a few rules but these 3 rules most important.
Not above his shoulder.
No contact to his head.
And you must wrap your arms around the player you tackling.
That's it. And of course, you can only tackle a player if he has the ball.
And to answer your questions at end of video. Yes, we still play like this today and are the current Rugby World Cup champions as well as the current no 1 ranked Rugby team in the world.
🇿🇦Springboks are the current world champions 🏆
"Springbok" means to jump like an antelope, the South African team is known for its high leaps of up to 2m in the air
😅Bit of a backstory.
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
ophou kak praat. Springbok means springbok , the animal and yes the animal jumps high but thats not what it means. also wat praat jy van jumping 2m in the air? who jumped 2 m in the air? the players or the animal, dont confuse the people.
I really enjoyed your reaction. Your reading of foul play was interesting to observe.
This is South Africa. We're all tough like this. But our team! Man, we are proud.
When Mookie finally says the name "Springboks" so correctly☺💚
the No11 with the scrum cap, (also sometimes play 14) is Kurt Lee Arendse, The other no.11 is Makazole Mapimpi, two world class wings!
Cheslin Kolbe also plays 14, with scrum cap. They all feature in these videos.
@@Ann-l7x yes he does, but they were mainly talking about no.11 and in both cases it was KLA and Mapimpi.
This is my country, our passion we play hard we take no jokes boks for life
😂😂after laughing at dude so hard his actually right, there are two guys who appeared with a number 11, they both tough on the position...and there's definitely a specific way of tackling
They're different as South Africa has been in a forever struggle. So, theyre warriors, not just rugby players. Staple food is BBQ (Braai) porridge and bread. Drinks, Coffee, Beer and Brandy.
No they drink inkomazi and pap, fermented milk, do grow strong healthy guts. To be strong on the inside is to be strong on the outside. Go mabogo bogo our pride and joy 🇿🇦
Let's do the unity and love Our gracious ❤ Madiba was/is! Let's stand together forever! Let's make a loving statement as tata did!
We braai and eat pap n drink black label 🇿🇦🇳🇦
😂😂 The Springboks are diffrent animals indeed, you made me laugh so hard by that comment 😅 🇿🇦✅ Springboks made me love rugby 🏉 to this day.😍🌟👌 Thanks for your interest in our national rugby team and its members.🫶💪💯
The guy you are arguing about wearing No 11, 19 and 14 is the same person - Kurt Lee Arendse. In Rugby you wear a number based on the position you are playing on the day. Your number is not permanent.
Hi Guys, loved the video
Greetings from SA
"'Getting in the End Zone"' it's called a try ie scoring a try and it is 5 Points, afterwards you kick a conversion in line where the try was scored, not from right in front like in football.
But you also get to kick for poles/conversion if you recieve a penalty in open play. You have 4 options, tap kick, scrum, kick for linout or kick for poles/conversion but then if you kick it over from a penalty it is worth 3 points.
Thanks guys
Cheers
Springboks just had am amazing game against the All Blacks this past weekend. Rugby World Cup to look forward to. Some amazing teams to react to.

Its the two biggest powerhouses in Rugby. Sold out stadium in England. Their own team could not even sell so many tickets. That's how big these two teams are.
82000 tickets were sold.
@Dunson house. 😂😂😂😂I enjoyed your reaction to the video. The Springboks are simply the best now. Their best team weren't on the field last week, but they won. Guys, rugby is a contact sport. No place for sissys. You pronounce the "o" in Springbok like "o" in pop. The All Blacks come from New Zealand and they were world champions for decades. I am a woman but I love Rugby. You should start rugby as a sport. Just get good coaches. Very enjoyable sport. Only real men play this game.❤❤❤❤❤
We c SOUTH AFRICA we subscribe with love from South Africa 🇿🇦
You can't tackle someone with no arms, you have to wrap your arms arround the attacker. Also no head contact, but if your the tackler and you hurt yourself cause the attacker used his elbow to defend himself like Oosterhuizen then it's fair play.😂
That small guy you keep seeing bumping the big guys stepping and making crazy plays name is Cheslin Kolbe he's like the Messi of Rugby
