You must try the gravy. I think you might love it. (Maple bacon fat and pure maple syrup). What’s not to love. Brits got the fish and chips no game. US has chicken and waffles.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost"
We take waffles seriously in our house ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUfphIgghPSpAXNq6OG2WRYsFVqylcqMn and worked our old one through many years of Sunday brunches till it finally gave out on us. Our old one only made two at a time, this one makes four! Nicely sized 1 inch thick which are lovely! Now the kids don't have to wait as long to eat our weekly waffle breakfast and everyone's are hot if we wait and eat all together! Setting 3 seems to work perfect for golden brown. Be sure to pour the batter in the center of each waffle square, not the center of the iron like the novice that posted the scorched waffles photo. About a 1/4 to 1/3 cup of batter in each seemed to work well for us. We tested making just one at a time so we could use all the remaining batter and it made it just as fluffy and golden as when we made 4!
I saw the crust fall on the plate, and I said out loud, SAVE THE CRUST! (it's my favorite part) I didn't see it fall till your comment. I guess I got distracted with Andy's "digging in". So sad! I hate to see good crust with so much promise go that way. 😥
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost".
I literally said "Oh hell yeah" when I got the notification for this video. Haha. Well done. I've had it both ways with gravy and with syrup mixed with honey. Both are amazing though. Great video. (Good looking with securing that oil, I don't trust my clumsy ass to work with oil over a fire. Haha)
Kent seriously your cooking is so amazing, the camping experience around it is just amazing! You show camping is for everybody including people who don't like to eat burned and unhealthy food outside in the middle of nowhere. THIS is how camping should be in my opinion.
I just wanna say thank you andy!! Your videos are one of those things that helped me get out of my depression. I don't know you remember or not but l commented few months ago on your video about my loss and you advised me and now I'm better. Just keep doing what are you doing because believe me you're helping people emotionally. Big love and respect to you.♥👊
Hey Bro, I haven't watched any of your video's for a while due to personal reasons (lack of internet) I find you remarkably whatch able, and you exude being a solid guy, keep up the good work man!
Being a Brit, I'd never heard of maple gravy, and the thought of chicken with waffles is something that doesn't sounds like it goes together. But I must admit it did look delicious.
Great vid, amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it, more entertaing than anything you can find on main stream cookery programs. Well done Sir.
As an American from the north, I have never been interested in chicken and waffles together or that other southern oddball, chicken fried steak. But watching you make and enjoy this, well, I might try it.
I've never heard of this maple gravy before in my life (American here!) but we normally use maple syrup for this. Maybe next time around see if it's any better!
There’s this guy in the woods cooking deep fried chicken, waffles and gravy over a camp fire..no way.. When you said fried chicken ...you meant the real thing..I’m impressed Take care 🍗🍗🧇🧇 🇨🇦
Dislikes! These people are insatiable and just deplorable. Kent is outdoors making it happen for his viewers. You just can't please everyone but whatever! Thanks for your Videos Sir. Many would love the ability to do what you do. Keep these videos coming.
We are American and use maple syrup or honey, the gravy was interesting but I doubt we'd every try it. We just love this channel and everything you do on here, keep it up!

OMG... you got it right. Just need everything slightly more crispy. Just went thru LA (old stomping grounds) a few weeks ago. Roscoe’s was not open yet. Thank you for the blast from the past.
I admit I didn't get the whole savoury, salty and sweet thing until I had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Totally on board with it now and I'm definitely going to try the chicken and waffles thing! 🤤🤘
Chicken looked Awesome Andy .. I’ve just cooked bacon egg mushroom baps on me new cast iron skillet...& bush box out side ..yummy .. first time cooking on a cast iron skillet.. cheers Chris & Sam
Oh Andy, Bravo!!😍👍 In Texas, when I order chicken ‘n waffles at a restaurant, it comes with just maple syrup, but they always suggest the white country gravy to go with it. Outstanding!😋 Your maple gravy looked marvelous as well. 👍🧡
Awesome of you to try something different. Chicken and waffles are quite a mix but so delicious. ATB Gail from Worcester Massachusetts USA 🇺🇸 By the way love binge watching your videos on my smart tv .
Nice tasty looking food Kent. But burning the bones, remind me of a old saying. If you threw bones on the fire you’d get toothache ..lol. Great video Andy.
When ur done and playing i add a shot of maple syrup over the whole plate. It just adds extra sweetness that sets it off. Amazing job and a great video well done
The fried chicken and waffles looks delicious you forgot the to make the maple gravy to go with it , another amazing recipe well done Andy what is the next recipe.
Great video Andy, thank you. I’m not convinced with that gravy though. I guess you have to try it to be convinced? Those chicken prices and waffles 🧇 looked great. Looking forward to your winter overnighter next week. Cheers Andy. Atb Paul.
MASTERFUL campfire cookery...again! You probably sold a lot of us on that waffle iron setup! I'm paying CAREFUL ATTENTION to the way you soak and coat the chicken pieces...I have learned a good bit from you today! I might ADD a pinch of salt and sage and peppercorn to the maple/chicken gravy to strengthen the case for 'sweet and savory!'
Jackpot my buddy!!! This is going on our Friday night special board! Good to see when it hits the fan I can still cook chicken and waffles in the woods!! 🐓🧇
I'm from Ohio so it's not really as prevalent here as in other parts of the US. But I've never heard of making a special gravy for it we always just added syrup.
After watching this I'm gonna have to try it! All of it looked delicious, really nicely done... You are now also a cooking show, I've added this video to my cooking playlist. 😋👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Fried chicken & waffles while camping? You just blew my mind! And it’s hilarious at 11:22 mentioning the small spritz of oil looking like its a lot... never mind that a few minutes ago you poured a ton of oil for fried chicken. Haha! I love it!
Hey man, as another Brit from just over the river from you, I've only just discovered Bacon Pancakes and maple syrup. This is one I'm DEFINITELY going to try! Thanks!
I've only ever seen chicken and waffles done with maple syrup, but never with a maple gravy. That looked really tasty.
I agree 100%
You must try the gravy. I think you might love it. (Maple bacon fat and pure maple syrup). What’s not to love. Brits got the fish and chips no game. US has chicken and waffles.
Michael Dixon, sounds delicious too! But I don’t want to have heart attack ❣️🤣
Yeah tasty
