      Basically, when you see the movement serial number to be in the 16mil, it is a possibility that this Constellation could have been one made in the late 1958 and the word ChronometRE will be spelled as ChronometER. Not very confusing if you just understand the dating system of an Omega movement.

    Please tell me how to wind the CK2852 1955-1958 the 4th watch in your video. I had sent from to USA to Switzerland to refurbish my late fathers watch but when I picked it up at jewelry store who sent it out to Switzerland to refurbish it I was not given given any instructions. I’m not sure why I wasn’t given any info back from Switzerland Omega company. They sent it back in a nice omega red box but I’m clueless how to wind or how often. Please let know if you can help. Thank you.

    Isnt the ref 2852 the only pie pan there in the collection,as I thought a pie pan dial has 12 facets instead of a smooth curve?

    • @TimelessHistoryChannel
      @TimelessHistoryChannel  3 роки тому

      That not true. 2652, 2782, 2852, and 2887 all come with pie pan and none pie pan dial. But you will find that majority of pie pan dial will most likely be a 2852 model since a pie pan dial is rare to come by for the other models.

    Next... Difference between 168.007 - 168.017 - 168.027 and 168.009 - 168.019 - 168.029? And several constellation c shapes had dauphine hands as well... 🤔

    • @TimelessHistoryChannel
      @TimelessHistoryChannel  3 роки тому

      I'm sure that day will come. Dauphine type hands do exist on Constellation C. If I remember correctly, they are only available for the earlier C models meaning those dating to 1966.

      @@TimelessHistoryChannel I... Then what about the difference between the shiny, brushed then later the fluted bezel? Especially between the shiny and the brushed ones, is it exchangeable between the 168.007 with 168.017?

      It is definitely worth many times more than what you sold your for in today’s market. But this was something none of us was able to predict. Nobody would have thought that the price of a vintage watch would have gone up so much

    Are the black(?) dials rarer? Are there production records for the black dial variants?

    • @TimelessHistoryChannel
      @TimelessHistoryChannel  3 роки тому

      In today's market black dial is much rarer than any other colour tones. It is hard to maintain a black dial in great shape over the years. Moisture, dirt, etc that can enter the watch over the years can easily damage a black dial. Since a black dial is very hard to come by, 99% of the time a black dial will be a refinished dial.
