I followed all the steps and was a big help on cleaning all the dust. Thank you for that. But when i put it back together now my controller wont turn on at all... I was wondering if that had to do with the antenna you where talking about? Or if it had to do with something else? Help please 🥺
this is actually a great video, wonder why so few watched this, i have one question please ; can i immediately disassembly mine right after i unplugged all the cables(power and hdmi etc) ? becoz many told me to lay the ps4 off low for 24 hours ? thank you in advance...
Hi, Yes you can disassemble right away as long as you don't plan on opening up the power supply unit. In that case I would recommend waiting 25-45 minutes.
Can i take the mother board out to replace the rhermal paste without opening the other side like the power supply and the other stuff? Because i have the power supply nail stuck i couldn’t open it
Its a small silver piece with 2 sharp pointed legs. If you are missing it you can use a nut from home depot that fits the screw with a rubber washer in between. You can also buy our screw set which includes the piece but that would be probably not worth buying a whole screw set for.
*Removes bottom cover struggling for 15 mins, then cuts the footage out as if his is the only one that'll be difficult to remove the bottom of lol. That's the part I needed to see...
@@fasttechvideo I managed to get it open...it wasn't any liquid or dirt, just the clamp on it not wanting to let go. luckily I cleaned it because a year ago I didn't do a full clean. also what would be the best type of thermal past, for any future needs?
i have said model, and the power button is stuck between both top plates to the point where i cant turn it on and have to use the eject button or my controller, what's the problem?
Okay. I am not sure if it is something I should worry about at all, but the issue I am having is that the disc icon is not showing for the game that is currently inside of my PS4, and it so happens to be this exact model. I hit the options button to eject the disc, but when the menu populated, it didn't show anything about eject disc. I tried to eject it manually, but all it did was beep. So should I be worried about this or is it a simple fix? I am already aware of the fact that my PS4 was fairly dusty because of the fact I am relatively lazy when it comes to keeping it clean, but I am assuming that cleaning it and getting rid of the dust will probably help. If anyone understands what I am talking about, please let me know what I should do. Thank you.
Man. I went and lost the little piece under the black cover that the power supply screw goes in to. Anyone know where to buy it? It's the piece in his fingers at 7 minutes and 25 seconds
I appreciate you man. Just got done changing the inner cooler fan on the PS4. With your help, we got it done. Thanks! My only regret is not ordering the part from you guys.

How did you pop the bottom cover off so easy mine is stuck like glue. The plastic is bending so far I am afraid I'm going to snap it.
Dirt or sticky liquids can make it stick
So how would you prefer getting it off ?

Great! Now to go to a different video for the assembly!
Why don’t they ever do both in one video? 🤦♀️
I usually do both but not in this one. Will be doing a complete version with assembly this year.
i have a question, for where the power supply screw goes in what do i do if that piece is missing

I cannot get the fucking bottom cover to come off
Use the pry tool from our Fasttech Pro Toolkit and pry it from the sides
that's what I find annoying. how do you remove the bottom cover so easily when it feels like mine is super glued to the system itself?
Probably sticky liquids and dirt causing it to be stuck.

The plastic housing is off place or you have a broken on off button.

You need to replace the laser or the disc drive. We sell both on our site at fasttechstore.com
Mine has something that blocks me from putting a screwdriver in on the back. The screws u have to take off to take the back off
You need a T8H not a T8. Links for the right one are in the description box.
Are all CUH-12 fans the same? Because my ps4 is a CUH-1216B so does that mean that i need a fan specifically for that model or are they all the same?
Yes they are the same
