Great tutorial! I was able to air dust the fan and it seems to be running better!

Please do not put thermal paste on like this video. 18:12 Applying paste this way is VERY likely to trap air when putting the motherboard back on to the heatsink. This will create hot spots. One single dollop of paste right in the center of the cpu. Don’t spread it out or do anything fancy. Other than that this is a good video.

This worked for me. The cpu paste was all dried up
And partial clog heat sink fins.
    Thank you for sharing. 👀😄

Followed this video exactly and the ps4 is no longer heating up. Swapped out the fan and repasted the APU with MX4. Thanks!

It's not just security tape it is also a warranty violation. Those screws do not need to be removed (i realized) to slide the hdd cover panel off. If you noticed the t screws are only installed at warranty violation places. The screw for the hdd is philips. If one watched this to learn how to exchange hdd only, they just voided the warranty while performing a warranty approved procedure.
I realize this is old, and warranties are practically non-existent. It is still something to think about.

You’re very correct. If someone was to watch this with the intent to replace a HDD (even though this is very clearly a cleaning and tear down video) they would absolutely void any warranty. If you’re needing help on replacing/upgrading your HHD or SSD on your PlayStation I actually have another video with this same exact PS4 where I can teach you how to do it on your own device without voiding any warranty.
