I live on the St Andrews Bay in Panama City, Fl, I prepared the blue crab exactly the way you suggested all the way to using the spritz bottle. They came out just as you said, a really great demonstration brother.
this Fl girl misses her blue crabs. You made it look super simply& easy. Thanks for sharing the spray btl water trick. Ive definitely gotta try that! Thanks
Doing crabs like this for years in Carolinas! We do ours a little bit different. We make the batter a bit thicker so you can eat the batter to get full as well as the crabmeat. Not bad job though!
K-Ray, I love blue crabs more than any other type of crab! Just can't beat the flavor, and those looked outstanding! I would love to be bellied up to a platter of those bad boys right now, with a tall cold beer! ;)
Man... I never had fried crabs before. I tried with my family.. WOW!! IT WAS SUCCESSFUL! Very tasty and different. We enjoyed it to the fullest. Thanks for sharing. H-Town Nation!
Thanks. K-Ray, your recipe reminds me of what my grandmother and mother made, but with a few twists. We have a lot of our family tied to the Trinity Bay and crabbing was a childhood through adult devotion. But we didn’t cook the claws or legs with the body. We saved the claws and froze them for time when we needed the meat in gumbo. Claw meat hangs together and had great flavor for soups. The legs are saved and frozen to use in making crab stock. And finally, the bodies are fried like you show, but they only used seasonings and cornmeal. Before the time of ready-made packs. Anyway, your steps, and my memories are going to drive me into a cooking frenzy real soon now. I am over in League City towards Galveston, so you know I can get some really good crags. Yum!
My husband and I spend a lot of money eating out. We both love seafood, especially crab. So I'm going to treat us and buy a lot of crab and cook this myself. The video was awesome very thorough easy to follow the instructions. 👍🏾👍🏾
Hi K-Ray. that made me want to come thru the computer to those crabs. I love the texas bbq carbs. I found a bbq seasoning at Fiesta seasoning in San Antonio texas. they sale the BBQ crab seasoning just like they use at Sartins in Tx. they are online. thanks for the great crab videos buddy....
