I live on the St Andrews Bay in Panama City, Fl,
I prepared the blue crab exactly the way you suggested all the way to using the spritz bottle. They came out just as you said, a really great demonstration brother.

Doing crabs like this for years in Carolinas! We do ours a little bit different. We make the batter a bit thicker so you can eat the batter to get full as well as the crabmeat. Not bad job though!

Thanks. K-Ray, your recipe reminds me of what my grandmother and mother made, but with a few twists. We have a lot of our family tied to the Trinity Bay and crabbing was a childhood through adult devotion. But we didn’t cook the claws or legs with the body. We saved the claws and froze them for time when we needed the meat in gumbo. Claw meat hangs together and had great flavor for soups. The legs are saved and frozen to use in making crab stock. And finally, the bodies are fried like you show, but they only used seasonings and cornmeal. Before the time of ready-made packs. Anyway, your steps, and my memories are going to drive me into a cooking frenzy real soon now. I am over in League City towards Galveston, so you know I can get some really good crags. Yum!
