    Hi Damian, where can I find the T-piece as a spare part? Is there a difference in readings of brew pressure, between using this T-piece and the solenoid valve adapter made for newer versions of the GCP?

    Great looking. Do you have a link to the tee connection? Wanted to order proper sizes since in Canada fitting come with imperial dimensions. Thanks

    why does the gauge not go to zero at the same time as the gauge in the portafilter basket?

    • @Gaggia_Fixer
      @Gaggia_Fixer  3 роки тому +2

      It's very simple, a pressure gauge connected to the flask ejects its accumulated pressure through a three-way valve. The pressure gauge on the casing is connected downstream of the pump and shows the pressure in the boiler. The vibration pump prevents the pressure from flowing back into the water tank and the valve on the other side prevents it from flowing into the flask. Therefore, if you want to get rid of all residual pressure from the boiler and reset the pressure gauge, you need to open the steam valve.

      @@Gaggia_Fixer is it possible to connect the pressure gauge to another place, so it will automatically reset to zero (same like portafilter guage)?

    Why did you have to change the valve (V1)?
    Can't use the existing valve V3)?

    Make one espresso and look at the pressure gauge readings at this moment, no?
    Сделать один эспрессо и посмотреть на показания манометра в этот момент, нет?

    Hi I used the same manometer on a Gaggia classic (old model from 1999) and issue is with the gauge vibrating a lot around 9bars while manometer on the portafilter is steady at 9bar, any suggestion?
    I checked the T junction and there is no leaking over there...

      I had the same problem with this pressure gauge, not only that it worked strangely but also showed badly. Finally get messed up, these gauges are of poor quality.

    thanks for the video. to avoid opening a hole could i just connect it and leave it at the back or top of the machine?

    • @Gaggia_Fixer
      @Gaggia_Fixer  3 роки тому

      Yes, you don't need to drill a hole. If it sticks out somewhere on the side, it will also be OK

    Is there a reason why you prefer to mount the gauge on the side? (I noticed you have other videos with the front mounting).

    • @philhario3640
      @philhario3640 4 роки тому

      Never mind. This is explained nicely on your blog. Essentially it's because on the 2019 Gaggia model, there is not enough room for a front mount.

    How did you change pressure to 9 bars? Did you simply change spring or some additional actions required?

    • @Gaggia_Fixer
      @Gaggia_Fixer  4 роки тому +3

      I did not change any spring, it is Gaggia with the whole Opv valve replaced with the one from the V1 model

    why manufacturers make 15 bar instead of 9?

    • @Gaggia_Fixer
      @Gaggia_Fixer  3 роки тому

      Well, because if you want to use the Perfect Crema strainer, you must have a pressure of 13 bar. And if you want to use low pressure sieves, then you have to lower the pressure with the OPV valve.

    Would this fit on the front if I got rid of the logo?

    • @Gaggia_Fixer
      @Gaggia_Fixer  3 роки тому

      On the inside, there is a large plastic frame that holds the controls vertically and it is this one that interferes with the mounting of the pressure gauge on the front.
      You would have to disassemble the internal frame and replace the current controls with others, then you can mount the pressure gauge on the front.

    • @Gaggia_Fixer

      Tomorrow I'll take a picture of you what it looks like from the inside because I'll have another gaggia dismantled. So tomorrow you'll see what I mean.
