Did a simlar mod on a gaggia classic and it worked well, brew temperature wise, however it was very noisy. Had numerous attempt to quieten it (brazing coils together and using silicon rubber damping packing between the boiler and coil, but was still too noisy. Ended up removing it and using a microconller , programing it o emulate a temperature surfing method that some people use...which workes well...but is very complicated to do.
@@justinbouchardi did insulation mode. Temp drop is still significant. The main problem is the shot-to-shot wait time. Even with an insulated boiler I found I had to wait at least 10-15 minutes to make another espresso.
hi, did you experienced poor steaming functionality? As the copper tube is fully touching the aluminum boiler if you switch on the steaming to go for 145-150 celsius after the bimetal switch goes off the copper will immediately start to ‘’steal’’ the heat from the boiler. Or you need a pid programme for steaming as well?
I believe that what he is doing here is essentially creating another heating element for the water, which in this video is just the copper tubing install around the boiler but in his other video ua-cam.com/video/MeR170-Ycmo/v-deo.html you can see the heating elements that are installed around that copper tubing to essentially create a boiler around the boiler. My assumption is that he wants the water to be heated by those surrounding electrical elements as it is pulled from the reservoir so that by the time it enters the boiler, the water has been pre heated. From what I've seen, coffee aficionados seem to refer that this machine's boiler needs 30 minutes of warmup time before it maintains a constant temperature for the water in order to pull shots with consistent results. I'm assuming this is one approach to shorten that time. What I find humorous is that meanwhile elsewhere in Turkey, there's a guy dipping his Cezve in the sand and brewing a perfect cup of Turkish coffee. :P
@@HumanTimeMachine May be simple add hot water to the Water Tank from the teapot? Also simlpe add heater with control temperature in Water Tank 60-70 oC.

Yes, I love the idea but I would imagine just insulating the thing would work so much better. Especially dollar for dollar.

Hi. The pipe is t2 ,6mm od and 4mm id?thanks
Profi! Ez biztos az enyém volt! CB
great craftsmanship, what is the diameter and thickness of copper tubing?
Szép munka, egy ilyen manőveren én is gondolkozom.
Szia. Megkérdezhetem mi a neve annak a csatlakozónak amit a rézcső végere forrasztottál? Köszönöm
How's it been working out for you?
ничего не понял, но посмотрел до конца

@@HumanTimeMachinei believe the real advantage lies in shot-to-shot consistency by creating a quick heat recovery time.

The temperature of the water entering vibration pump must be below 35 degree C.@@Sensation000
Hello. Are you willing to share or sell the cad file for the boiler? I like the outcome and i'd like to try it on an evolution. Thx.
Szia elérhetőséget kérhetek? Köszi

Kedves lali_hu! Mennyi a rézcső külső átmérője? Köszönöm!
