Ah nice! I will upgrade my 2006 classic when the boilers are a stand alone product next year!

I have a question for you which. you will probably have to visit again later as you sell PID kits. Currently there is about a 7 or 8 degree offset from the boiler to group head. Now that the boiler is brass and so is the group head will we need such a big offset and if its different what number will we need to make it?

Given that the water path from the boiler to the shower screen is identical to previous versions then we expect the temperature decrease and hence the PID offset to be very similar if not the same as any aluminium boilered Classic

I know you don’t like the pressurized basket, but you really should explain to people that this machine can grow with you as you go through your coffee journey. Start with no grinder and just pre-ground espresso coffee using that plastic tamper. Then move to an actual grinder and get better quality beans and grind each time using a proper tamper. Eventually get a proper espresso grinder after a few years. This machine will work for a very long time and will work for lots of different kinds of people as the enjoy coffee for the rest of their lives.

So True !!! I purchased a lightly-used GCP from FB Marketplace last year. First thing I did was get a 12 oz bag of pre-ground Cafe Bustelo (Walmart, $4.50 or so). It works PERFECTLY in the pressure basket. The machine came with a Normcore tamper and various baskets. My Kingrider6 and a few kilos of inexpensive beans soon arrived, and I haven't slept since then. :):) hahahah I prefer Robusta coffee and Nyugen coffee is running a killer-deal on 5 pound bags, I have a couple of them on order awaiting shipment.

@ robusta has about twice the caffeine as arabica so be careful.

Should the wire retaining clip just be floating loose in there??

No it shouldn’t be - factory not sticking it to the case properly.

@@ShadesofCoffee Thanks, not very confidence inspiring especially with all the changes to these machines. The e24 is not even shown on Gaggia's site.

@@bélalugrisiit’s perfectly possible that it simply came adrift in transit, either from Italy or to us. It’s hardly difficult to press it back on the side of the machine. The E24 has been on Gaggia.com for about a month now.
