This was so unbelievably good id actually pay for over most of the crap AAA that aren't worth the price they ask if it was only a larger and longer game. Only thing i would love is if this game was far longer with more fights and missions etc and it would truly be even more of a god tier slap in face of many Big game studios than it already is. I want to invest some serious time and work on progression to the end in a game like this but i know lumpy most likely would never have the time or manpower to drop anything supermassive with hours of gameplay other than short projects but i absolutely love the stuff he puts out.

Spoiler alert 28:57 Im not gonna lie, in that moment I was already whinning thinking "I knew it, D betrays Jon and the game will end badly for everyone, how predictable"... and then I got surprised that D actually protected Jon and sacrificed itself to save Earth and his "friend", really nice game for a Gorefield meme.
I was expecting a twist ending since I could briefly see Gar-Type D's name change to Major Bink for a few frames a couple of times, but that never came up.

The end sequence is literally so beautiful. The music, the atmosphere, just, everything! I didn't expect to actually cry over Starbuckle's and Gar-Type D's relationship at the end. Gar-Type D's "I'm Sorry, Jon" was a nice touch from Lumpytouch.

Second, the logic is flawed. Lumpy can't be using Muncie because it sounds like munchie for the simple fact that it _doesn't_ sound like munchie. It would be like saying, "The spearman liked to eat pears because it sounds like spears."
_That was EPIC!_ Another interesting take on the gorefielld expanded universe lol. Double parody too! Lumpy touch and his team really outdid themselves with this one. Music was top notch as well as the sound effects. Im sure i heard that one feddy sound effect lol. The arts impeccable as always. Love all the references. Did not think id ever see Binky the clown again lol. It was cool way to implement the "i cant let you do that jon" line. The creepy gorefields really translate to the R-type aliens lol. Didnt think it would end well. Always cool to see Lumpy Touchs art.
I know this is a Gorefield game but honestly this is a pretty great Garfield game too. I absolutely love the way Binky the Clown and Liz are done as characters in this game
I expected a trash-type horror game from reading just the title (not that I don't like trash horror) but this game is serious dedication! It looks extremely polished in pretty much all layers of game design I can think of(visuals/audio/cohesiveness/gameplay) and you can see the creator/s of this put a lot of attention into the details.
Lumpy Touch does awesome work at these games. Manly has played a couple of his games before. You should check out the Lasagna Boy playthrough. Made by the same creator as this game.

I've been aware of lumpytouch for a few years now, I always hoped he'd make some kinda game with that retro-gorfield style of his. I know it's a joke game but it's so good I want a sequel to Gar-type!
Lumpy Touch has also made a Gorefield game in the same vein as the Mr. Hop's Playhouse series called Lasagna Boy. Manly did a playthrough of it a long time ago.
He didn't invent it, that was a different person who made the sketches that Lumpy later made animations out of later, but he expanded on the original concept

I like how this game combines elements from multiple pretend games Lumpy's animated over the years. You have the gameplay homage from previous Gar-Type animations, and then two bosses appear that resemble Gorefield forms from both the OG Gorefield Gameboy'd and the Gorefield Zodiac series, all things that fans have begged and pleaded to be made real for a long time. How this is still a free game is beyond me. I also like how the controls mimic the way Lumpy animates sometimes by just dragging sprites around.
I never thought this day would come but alas, He did it. He made a full fledged game out of his gorefeild animations. I especially love the Vigro Gorefeild bossfight since that was really intruguing. And to think I google searched a thing for the scariest game in the world and for Gorefield to show up with a line of text that said nothing more than: "The scariest horror game to never actually exist."
If aliens officially come down to Earth for diplomatic relations, they would be dressed like Garfield, because they would think we worshipped an orange cat.

I’d like to recommend the game “Orwell: Keeping an eye on you.” In the game you play as a Big brother agent and are investigating a series of terror attacks by looking through citizen’s lives. It’s not directly as horror-esque as most of the other games you play, but there’s still definitely a large horror element to it.
Gar-type D did a BT-7274 :c god, that scene with the smart pistol is one of the best ones in gaming history, period. Having your only subjective be run, slide, and survive is bone chilling.
Creating tech from reverse engineering biomass interterestial monsters is something out of Knights of Sidonia, very cool. Also this game should be ported to Virtual Boy, if it works in purple and black, it would work great in red and black.
