Hope you all enjoy the video! (By the way when I said I played this as a kid, I meant when I was like 13 haha. So not quite as young as some people are thinking)
The story of this game is wild: Basically, Maxwell and Lily's parents were explorers and found a bunch of magical items, they also didnt had TV so they had 42 children instead(im not joking). They gave each of their children a magical item, Maxwell got the book that creates anything and Lily got a globe that lets her go anywhere in the world. One day, Maxwell and Lily met an old man, the old man asked for some food but Maxwell an Lily thought it would be funnier to give the old man an rotten apple, the old man got angry and cursed Lily into becoming a stone statue. Maxwell, without knowing what to do, brought Lily to Edwin's(their oldest brother) farm. Edwin explained that the only way to reverse the curse was collecting Starites, which were obtained by gaining gratitude from people. At the end of the game, we manage to save Lily and the old man is revealed to be their father, he did that to teach a lesson to Maxwell and Lily so they would stop being mean with their powers. Edit: Fixed the old man identity since i misremembered it.
It’s actually their dad who was the old man, not Edwin. You still got the rest of the plot down pretty good tho, I think you even got the number of kids right.
Bardish essentially means "of or related to a bard", impying that you turned the amplifier into a living bard. So it served as both music equipment and a musician.
The cannibal becoming vegan is also more funny when you realize cannibalism inherently not against veganism - it's possible to ethically source human meat
34:54 I find it incredibly interesting how this run is so optimised, they came up with two solutions that work for the four scenarios, and then they can change "cloned doC" into "cloned doVE" so that they have to type less. Speedrunners are wild, man.
Right! and at 25:17, each libarian holds a book, and for the final prompt of "needing to study" the game consumed the book the 4th libarian held. It's a really impressive run!!
Fun Fact: this game is where I created my first OC that was not O at all. playing with the editor and workshop mods was pretty fun until I realized most were just reskins of existing models. It was a lot more fun trying to find hidden objects like hydroplane or some really obscure rock-crushing vehicle that had a unique design and everything that probably only 10 people would ever use in their lifetime.
I liked looking for random people (I believe some of them are the workers and developers) and making them pregnant. Some of them have different kids than just mini clones. It was fun. I also would use Maxwell’s book for random stuff.
0:18 "We're a kid named Maxwell who has the power to create anything with his notebook, and we also have our sister Lilly who's slowly getting turned to stone.' New speedrun tactic: create a flesh-to-stone potion, skipping the entire game. WR, 10 seconds, no problem!
Considering how he can speak, he must want to be in there. I consider that a win, honestly. You get free food and housing, companionship, and can mentor the next generation. It's better than being a simulated ooze monster, who likely lives in agony with butterfly wings and a PAC-MAN head.
You should speedrun sneak thief. It is a game where you have a few levels where you steal stuff. The game is simplistic and has very great movement, perfect for speerunning
ty for bringing more attention to this nostalgic game, been seeing a lot of videos on this game lately, used to play this on the 3DS as a kid and I’m loving the content coming from it more than 10 years later :)
I may be wrong, but I think the dinossaur caretaker, @16:13, is a Steve Irwin easter egg??? Maybe.... And the artist elephant is an easter egg it even paint the same flower as on the videos yo can find on UA-cam.
thank yioouuu for making a scribblenautss videooo i love scribblenauts so muchhh and collect everything scribblenauts relateddd thank youuuu thank you so much thank youuu
SCRIBBLENAUTS! Scribblenauts was one of the few games I had on the DS. It is hurting my brain that you can say that Unlimited was a game you played a lot as a kid... Although I could very much say the same about myself... Why do I feel old now?
This is my childhood game, and my newest hyperfixation, How do you know what I love to watch??? Out of all the games Scribblenauts, and out of all the parts Unlimited, thats a coincedence. BTW my 2 fav OSTs from this game, Under Line, Underground City, Hyphen Heights Underwater and the OG Notebook Editor
Not sure how fun this game would be to run but god did this look awesome to route. Whoever came up with each of these bizarre combos of words to use deserves an award
i loved the concept of this game as a kid, and watching DanTDM play it was a very memorable part of my childhood. I want to play this game for myself one day and experience the whole story again. I'm very excited for the wave of nostalgia to come hit me in the face
My kid brother learned to read because of this game - it was my copy and he was only four at the time. He would keyboard smash, then select the first "did you mean...?" suggestion. Eventually he started recognizing patterns of letters as certain words.
gonna take a wild guess n say the main reason this video exists is because of that minimum item video from like a week ago lol. I dont blame u it got me thinkin bout this random game from my childhood for the first time in years too lol
I remember playing this game on the 3DS when I was a kid - I got stuck on the firehouse level because I was having the worst time figuring out the dummy bit and kept misspelling "defibrillator" and I think even after spelling it correctly either the item didn't show up, or it didn't work alsdghas
Hope you all enjoy the video! (By the way when I said I played this as a kid, I meant when I was like 13 haha. So not quite as young as some people are thinking)
Ez
Couldn’t you use clone instead of cloned and eel instead of orca
Speedrun Roblox doors
if you want i can speedrun this game and get below you in placement. i am ok at typing but not at spelling.
Please do a 100% speedrun

Imagine if Maxwell did THIS as atonement.
Edwin would be so done.
In other words... Their parents gave Edwin an Item that can curse people...
Also, why didn't Maxwell just write "Uncursed" as an adjective on Lily?
@@theodreer1356 the level of magic on the notebook might be lower power so it can do a lot but other magic can override it
Damn Maxwell is clearly the favorite
It’s actually their dad who was the old man, not Edwin. You still got the rest of the plot down pretty good tho, I think you even got the number of kids right.
Love how half the solutions are a fraction of a second from disaster, but you leave the level before the world explodes
I find it hilarious that, according to 9:41, all it takes for something to be a class pet is for it to be small and alive
I dont know what is wilder, this, or how accesing 5 wet librarians can fix all your problems
my little brother could be one 🤭
I mean.. my class pet was a butterfly
“Who wants to take home Piranhie for the weekend?!”
“…Nobody?”
144p-th 👍.
Bardish essentially means "of or related to a bard", impying that you turned the amplifier into a living bard. So it served as both music equipment and a musician.
"Congratulations, you played yourself."
And also very seductive
In another universe:
Singing with Bardish
5:24 "How to clear traffic fast"
Google: "Get help from a traffic officer"
Bing: *_"GARY, I HAVE A BOMB-"_*
13:37 I love the idea of a robot character that becomes an actual human by doing more and more human things...like enjoying pie.
Leet
Thats an actual book called The Positronic Man, but it doesnt exactly end well.

@@keepyourshoesathedoorthat’s kinda unhinged ngl
I like how you need to get starites "by helping out people" and then one of the first things you do is grow a murderous plant that chases everyone
9:44 my boy the clown went from mentor to slave in a matter of seconds. This is the true joker origin story.
0:18 "We're a kid named Maxwell who has the power to create anything with his notebook, and we also have our sister Lilly who's slowly getting turned to stone.'

bardish means like a bard. bards are old timey musicians so i guess in game logic it reads as a musicain of some kind
"Gold Scary Santa" is my new favorite thing
But what if he was also damp?
@FinnDanger-e3v he'd be even better
9:40 imagine walking into a classroom and seeing a tiny clown locked inside a cage

13:19 this is just the Scribblenauts equivalent of “it goes in the square hole”
"Oh, great, a pie, what flavor?" "PIE FLAVOR"

I SWEAR WHENEVER I WATCH SOME KIND OF OLD GAME FROM MY CHILDHOOD YOU DECIDE TO SPEEDRUN IT. FIRST PVZ, THEN CASTLE CRASHERS AND NOW THIS.
Same I just got back into this game 2 days ago
You know a speedrun has broken Speezy when during the livestream he'll remain almost dead silent for most of it.
Radon, the solution to all life's troubles

"A game I used to love playing on my Wii U as a kid"
Damn, you aren't taking any prisoners in the new year, are you?
It came out 13 years ago. It physically hurt to look it up.
Scribblenauts is one of my favorites.
I find it funny that "subsonic" makes things fast, since it doesn't necessarily mean "fast". It just means "slower than sound".
No way I watch a Scribblenauts video for the first time in years last night and then bro drops this today
wait literally same
Fucking same, TAS lion speedrun
omg nostalgia is hitting me hard.
"We're gonna put radon on that beartrap to make it no longer dangerous"
Uhh yeah whatever you say
Have anyone ever thought how hilarious it is some of the solutions here are just "summon god"
great video, watched all of it
It just came out...
I did too, on twitch when he streamed it
The video is 40mins long.. you commented this one min ago.. the video came out 4mins ago??? What are you on???

Gotta love the 'Ō'ū rep i love seeing extinct birds and the fact that this one gets a pretty important role in the speedrun is really cool

Am I the only one who love games with these types of art
No.
Dude I just finished my own save, the fact you did this so quickly is crazy. Loved it 🥰
Why does subsonic make you faster? A snail can be described as subsonic.
Childhood classic man, glad to see this game here.
I used to play this game so much on my 3DS good times
13:45 the pie was so good they became vegan
Comedy
and white for some reason
All of the scribblenauts videos showing up on my feed recently is honestly really awesome
Yeah! Genuinely one of my favorite games, EVER. This is gonna be so good.
Edit: YEAH!!!
4:18 me too Lilly, me too
the audio descriptions of what’s going on is madness! legit, if this was heard out of context with a visual aid, it would be hilarious 😆.
love you speezy, always got your videos for when i go to sleep as comfort lol. been liking the hour videos
3:39 "gold scary Santa"
He’s overpowered
Scribblenaut weakness is NFTs, I guess
I was just watching a different scribblenauts video, hoping you’d make one one day😅

I loved this game as a kid
In the prison level I gave the man who needed a toilet a smelly dirty diaper
You unlocked memories i had completely forgotten since i was a child by making a vid on this game
I like to imagine that the start of this speedrun is Maxwell adding "Omniscient" to himself as an adjective.
i've been waiting for a run of one of these games!
maxwell really just has the death note but only uses it on himself
Honestly , how can you speedrun every single game. Mans in another level

Scramblenuts is always soo much fun
Im happy to see scribblenauts is becoming popular again
